Can we do something like.....?

Question

1     Create Letter' button on the web page will invoke a word exe from the NT server (Assumed, the link between App server and NT server is available)
     2     The customer details, operator details, template content needs to be passed runtime while opening the word document (Using a macro?)
     3     Customer details, operator details will be passed from the application (via App server), and the template body can be either stored on the App server location, or on the NT server.
     4     Operator can edit the document which is opened as a pop-up from the application screens (So that, we won't lose control from the main application, once the pop-up is closed, the operator is back to the application screens)
     5     While saving the document, it will be saved on the NT server at a spcified location with an unique name
     6     And this name will be passed back to the App server, which will then be stored into the database against the customer details
If this can be implemented? How can we do it?

Everything is possible, not everything is feasable.
If I understand correctly, you want to open a template wordfile and inject some values into it? Support for Word formats is pretty horrible (which is for the largest part the fault of the format itself, which changes with every version).
However, you may achieve what you want with the RTF format and simple token replacement. Create an RTF template and put tokens in it like &custdetails;, then when you send the RTF to the user, replace the token with your customer details information.
As for editing the document, if you put the correct content-type in your response, you can make the RTF open in word (if the user has it installed). But then you have absolutely no control over what the user does with it, so 5 & 6 will become impossible. I know of no way to edit such documents using a browser.
