When can we expect support for voice/speech controlled browsing?

I love Mozilla Firefox, but I want to start using Windows-based voice commands to control the browser. I'm currently running Firefox 3.6.13 on an Windows XP Professional Tablet Edition machine and using the OS's built-in speech recognition software. This gives me some control within Firefox, but there is always a question about what to say to effect basic things, like "close tab" or "next tab" or to select a Google search result.

I did follow the directions, I did add the NameVirtualHost *:80 in httpd.conf or in the temporaryfix.conf, I have also add the ServerName www.example.com in 0000_any_80_.conf... But nothing work and I always get the default page instead of each site.
I must admit that I am very frustrated by this, but if the service Web Server in the Server.app shows the 3 sites and the View Document Root Contents point to the right directory; to me it seems that Server.app has a major bug.
I don't seen any recognition of the problem nor a time schedule for a fix.

Can we expect more for the Mac?

Does anyone have any info on Oracle products for the Mac? Does Oracle plan to update 9iR2 for OS X? Are there any tools, like 9i Forms and Reports, coming out for OS X? Or, was the current 9iR2 simply an appeasement from a former board member?

When can I expect RAW support for my new Nikon D5300?

New PE12, new D5300, no joy with PE12 opening these files. When might I expect support for that?

ACR 8.3 RC at Adobe Labs lists preliminary support for the D5300 (probably by pretending it is a D5200 so the colors will likely be a little off) but the RCs cannot be installed with Elements. Wait for the final release in the next few weeks, and PSE12 should automatically update.
You can use the DNG Convert 8.3 RC at Labs to create DNGs from your NEFs but the colors will be off, still, so save your NEFs and maybe start over with them.

What kind of longevity can I expect from the SSD in a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display?

I recently ordered a new MacBook Pro with the Retina Display. This will be both my first computer and my first Mac that uses a SSD as the primary storage device. As the title of this post suggests, what I would like to know is what sort of lifespan/longevity can I expect to get out of it? My current MacBook Pro was manufactured in 2007 and has a stock 160GB Fujitsu hard drive that has been fantastic for me over the past 4-5 years. It continues to run like a champ, and I would hope that a brand new SSD would be able to last at least that long. Given that the new retina MBPs cannot be upgraded or (easily) user-serviced, I am somewhat curious to know whether or not Apple's new proprietary SSD modules will give out/slow to a crawl before/after my new machine becomes completely obsolete. I have been searching for articles published within the past few months on whether or not the current crop of SSDs on the market are more reliable than those introduced a year or two ago, but alas, I haven't had much luck. Perhaps it is still too early to tell?
I found a few discussion threads on here somewhere where some users indicated that their original MacBook Airs, or other SSD-equipped MacBooks, were still performing quite well and responsively after a few years of use. Can anyone substantiate this for me? How long have you been using your SSD(s) in your Mac(s), and do you think the newer models will be able to last several years? I would greatly appreciate any insight.

While I think your concern is legitimate (it was mine too), I think to some extent, how long they last will be up to you. The individual cells in the flash media in an SSD have limited life spans, and SSD controllers have a variety of techniques to spread that wear around evenly (wear leveling). That wear is exacerbated by the controller having to erase a whole block of data when even just one page needs to be changed, and if not all the data in the block is still valid, more data than necessary gets moved (write amplification). To provide some extra room for all this reshuffling of data, SSD manufacturers build in extra space that's inaccessible to the user (over-provisioning), but it typically runs about 7%. (This is a good discussion of the inner workings of all this)
If you stuff your SSD full of files, so that there's very little room to do all this rearranging, I think you'll experience the slowdown you're concerned about. TRIM, which Apple's SSD's support, will help, but you can too. Allow plenty of free space on your SSD and perhaps partition it so that there is free space outside the partition (check this out to see what a difference it can make). You can't use it but the controller can as an extension of the built-in over-provisioning.
You also mention that you "will most likely use it to record several tracks and store my growing library of songs and videos." Why not instead use an external SSD connected via USB 3.0 for storage? They're relatively cheap, very fast, and keep the space on your internal working drive free. A BootCamp partition would also take up space, so you might consider using Windows in a Virtual Machine instead. VMware Fusion or Parallels would be installed on the internal SSD but the virtual machine files could go on the external.
In any case, your data is more important than your SSD, so back up, back up, back up.

When to expect new installation CD for Arch?

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else in this (or other) topic, I couldn't find any, but when could we expect a new Arch installation CD containing new kernel? The reason I'm asking this question is I'm preparing to do a fresh install - I want to change my filesystem from JFS to EXT4 (the old kernel on the current installation CD has an old version of EXT4 with some bugs making some files to disappear while using KDE4) and want to start using KDE4 at last (from a freshly installed OS of course).
Any info on that matter? Once I read on this forum, I believe, that there will be a fresh installation CD with every new kernel release, but I guess that wasn't true...:rolleyes:

I always just do a FTP install using the most recent cd that is available at the time. It is just a shell that way to fire up the ftp installation process leaving you with a fully updated system when you're done, so no need to pacman -Syu and fragment your installation right after you are done, besides it is not as if the default install on the cd is *that* big, using my 10mbit cable it is just a matter of a few minutes before it is done, with 2.6.30-ARCH and a bootable ext4. I wouldn't do a cd install even if there was a newer one then 2009.02 ...... on the other hand if one is on a 14k4 modem line things might be different. A FTP install using Archboot 2009.05 also worked like a charm for me by the way, the cool thing of that is that i can use it both for my x64 laptop as well as my i686 desktop since it is a hybrid cd.

4S at my house have stronger antenna than 3G iPhone. Reset Network Settings, tap Settings App>General>Reset, near bottom>Reset Network Settings. If still problem take to Apple for Warranty Coverage.

Just got a PMG5 2.3Ghz..I needed for running photoshop...how long can I expect apple to support this computer with software after goint to the intel macs. Am I gonna be outa luck in a couple of years??

Just got my PM DC 2.3 GHz this week. I'm making what I think is a very safe assumption that Apple will continue to support OS upgrades for PPC machines for at least the next 3 years, as they do have a large installed user base of these machines.
In other words, Apple has a financial incentive for sales of OS upgrades and other Apple software to the current installed base.
So I expect a good 3 or 4 years of use out of the PM dual core 2.3 -- by which time there will be productivity reasons to look at a new machine.

I will try to answer based on my experience of working with iProcurement and AME. It depends on how you want to make a call to AME , directly from OAF Page or from Workflow and your requirement. You didn't specify what you want to show the users on OAF Page and your business requirement.
Before calling AME Engine from the OAF page or workflow, I guess you did already setup AME Transaction Type and it's Approval Groups, Conditions, Action Types and Rules. Do some testing from AME Business Analyst Test Workbench. Please note that, AME provides lot of PL/SQL API's that you have to call from your programs (java or workflow pl/sql)
Let's look at the workflow and putting an OAF Page as notification.
As Sameer said, you have kick-off workflow process from PR of CO and with in the workflow function, you make a call to AME Engine API's with the AME Transaction ID. This transactionId belongs to the AME Transsaction Type that you setup. Based on the rules setup, AME Engine generates list of approvers/approver and stores them AME Tables for that transactionId. Then, it sends a notification to the approver.
In the workflow, where that notification is defined, in the message body you have to put an attribute(&XX_WF_FWK_RN) of type document/send. And this attribute will have the constant JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNC&paramId=-&DOCUMENT_ID-. This function is SSWA Jsp function that makes a web html call to your OAF Region.
If your requirement is to just show the list of approvers on the OAF Page, you may have to call AME API diectly passing your AME TrasnactionId with other parameters. Then AME generates list of approvers and stores them in AME tables with each approver status. You can pickup those approvers using VO and show them on OAF Page.

The apple ID was his personal account and can no longer gain access. Im sure I can get purchase recipts from the accounting department if needed. I tried to put the Ipad in restore mode and used itunes to "recover" the ipad but it still wont let me in because he registered the device with the "lost iphone" feature or whatever that is.
