Can we get a better microphone for iPhone 6?

The HD camera and video is great, but the sound is still junk when it comes to recording live music.    For iPhone 6 can we get either
1.   The headphone jack to double as a stereo mic input to plug in a stereo microphone.
2.  A dedcated stereo mic input (red circle) that will accept a stereo mic.
If there is a way to plug in a stereo mic (Rode NT4), then the iPhone can take videos with great sound.  It would be like a Zoom HD.   Then they could make a portable version of the microphones that could snap on to the bottom of the iPhone when turned sideways.
Right now I have a Sony camcorder with the Rode NT4 I use for band videos.  It has a green input for headphones, and red for the mic (mini plug).       If they make the iPhone6 have the mic input, then people can record live concerts and the sound will be good.

Thanks for the reply.   I used Google to search for 3rd party mics.
Rode makes the iXY which connects to the charging port and records in stereo.   This is great, however, the microphone app called "Rode Rec" has bugs and loses files.
The problem with the iPhone is it doesn't allow one to mail a large file when it comes to audio or video.
How does Apple expect people to shoot videos in HD, when they can't get the full length files off the phone?
3rd party apps are failing as seen with the Rode Rec app.
Therefore, Apple needs to work with Rode to make an app or find a solution to getting large files off the phone by connecting it to the PC.   When I connect my iPhone to the computer, I don't see recorded audio files, only my pictures.    I need a way to directly see my audio and video files so I can transfer them.
The Rode iXY connects to the charging port and points sideways.    They need to make a short extension cable, and make the mic mount under the phone, so the microphone is pointing forward when shooting video.
Please look at the Rode iXY web page here to see what I am talking about.

Then look at the reviews for the app called "Rode Rec" and you will see frustrated people who have lost files.  A better recording app (in stereo) needs to be created that allows large files to be transferred.
