The easiest way to find your serial number is this Open Itunes...click help... run diagnostics.....(tick or untick as necessary) so that you just have ticked the last two, device connectivity and device sync. run these tests. it will say no ipod/ipad found but will give results of test....scroll down to bottom of results... here you will find the serial number of your last attached devices.

I don't believe you can get your serial number from Apple since they have know way of knowing that you are indeed you, but you can call Apple tech support at 1-800-275-2273 (if you have a cellphone or can make an 800 call from school) and ask.
Otherwise, if you have access to a computer to which you synced the iPod, or someone you can call does, you can find the serial number in iTunes on that computer. See:

It seems it was never registered to your Apple ID.
Do you have an iTunes backup of the iPad?
Open iTunes.
Open Preferences. (In Mac OS X, choose iTunes > Preferences. In Windows, choose Edit > Preferences.)

Not sure why you need the serial # if you phone is locked.
Plug it into iTunes, and you can get the serial #, and also unlock your phone.

Sadly, there isn't much else Apple can do for you in this situation. However, I can tell you that there are a few other methods that can be used to retrieve your iPod's serial number other than from off the unit itself. Check out this Apple support document for more information. Hope it helps.

I have never connected my iphone to my new computer so can't get the info from itunes on there. All the songs I have bought or downloaded have been done on the phone through the ituns store.The box it came in from the shop is for a white iphone and mine is black so I can only assume that it is the wrong number.

Call your carrier and ask them.
Not sure what you would need the number for, other than for the carrier.

There is no free download of Leopard. Any offered on the internet are illegal pirated copies; reports here from people who tried them indicate that either they don't work or come with malware and misery.
We don't know where you are located but, if in the US, you can phone the Apple Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask for an operating system specialists. Ask if they have copies. Some people--not all--have been able to get 10.5 that way at a modest cost.
If they say no, you must buy it on the open market and some people are selling vaild and proper Leopard install disk sets for as much as many G4 PowerBooks are worth on the used market.

I am locked out of my phone because I forgot my password and iTunes won't let me connect and I can't get a serial number from the ohone because it's locked.

I had forgotten my passcode on my phone and finally it said that my iPhone was disabled and that it needed to be connected to iTunes. Well for it to connect to iTunes it needed for me to respond on my iPhone but my iPhone is disabled! I'm so frustrated. Can't get my serial number from adobe - says my redemption code invalid

I have a copy of Photoshop Elements 10 bought via ebay. am going round in circles. I have spoken to adobe customer services, sent 2 emails (unanswered) and contacted the vendor, who will not help.
When I enter the redemption code, it says it is not valid. Adobe told me they have had a problem which would be resolved by today. Still does not work. Help??
