As per module in FICO, AR, AP,AA,GL there is already business process present in SAP database. As of now, many releases have been out in the net especially good sites. I am recommending you the following links, but before you go to FICO be sure that you have a good background in accounting.

you can attach a repot or at tcode etc in an SAP query using report assignment in SQ01 but as far as i remember you cannot attach multiple reports.

Two types of testing is possible in bw
unit testing
integration testing
Integration testing - It is the phase of software testing in which individual software modules are combined and tested as a group. It follows unit testing and precedes system testing.
Integration testing takes as its input modules that have been checked out by unit testing, groups them in larger aggregates, applies tests defined in an Integration test plan to those aggregates, and delivers as its output the integrated system ready for system testing.
Unit testing - One part or the whole part of transfer rules , update rules, etc..
Integration testing - The whole data flow cycle to be tested

as you have more than 6 yrs. experience , you can opt for sap field but the main thing is that still if your job hunt will get ended, you will be considered as ab fresher, so are you ready for those bucks you will get after you will become a sap FI/CO consultant.
Please understand one thing , if you wnats to make your career in sap field, you are most welcome, when it comes to a job for you in SAP FI/CO , you have to consider in your brain only middle or small size industry, because as far as i concern no single major company will provide you exposure to work with them (if you will get, its your good fortune). So, if you have decided to take a step ahead in sap FI/CO i will not give you negative thinking, if you are ready to negotiate in your renumeration in starting your career, then you can take a foot ahead, but look a job in middle size or small companies only, i think through this you will get any exposure more easily.

Hi Abhijeet,
The answer is Yes and No. Yes, if you have a corporate wide Financial System for taking balance sheet and other reporting needs and you need SAP MM for your purchasing and inventory management functions. Even in this case, you will need a FICO Consultant to setup the minimum FI settings. And to build interface to push the relevant data between SAP and the core financial system. No, if you dont have any other system to track the business financials.
Most implementations will have FI and MM implemented and in few cases, where the corporate wide Financial system is different from SAP, we will have a lean FI implemented in SAP to allow necessary postings.

If you want training, there must be ATCs, SAP should be able to advise you the right ATC. Note, these courses are very expensive, not everybody is intend to go for full length training due to commercial reasons.

As you know that TDS GL account automatically trigger at the time of invoice posting from the TDS customization.
As per your process system won’t find the TDS manual postings in J1INCHLN, the same scenario I have worked for one of my previous clients. Only the automatic TDS GL postings will appear in the J1INCHLN.
If your client don’t want the TDS certificate printings then go for your process, if your client wants the J1INCHLN clearing and TDS certificate then you have to follow the standard process.

SAP FICO --- iDoc ---- SM35 problem

Problem: We are currently using SAP R/3 E1P and sending invoicing material from different ERP system to it and using SM35 to solve possible problems (wrong accounts, zero invoices etc.) in transfer. Now we are planning to start using SAP Fico in company group and changing interfaces to use iDoc. Sap consultants argue that it is impossible to use SM35 with iDoc....
Is that really so? Hopefully someone can help...

SM35 is for processing of batch input recordings/sessions, which is something completely different from idocs. So yes, your consultants are right, you cannot process incorrect idocs with SM35
However, there are another transactions for idocs monitoring and reprocessing (BD87, WE02), so you still will have the tools for data/interface corrections, even if at the beginning you will probably found it not so simple and user-friendly as SM35; your consultant should provide you with neccessary training.

The testing can be process testing and integration testing. There is no documentation as such for the FICO testing.
In the process testing, you can test each and every transaction within the FICO and in the integration testing you can test the End to End process like Procure to pay, Order to Cash etc.
It is a good idea to plan the test scenarios that meets the business requirement in the first place.
