Can we include acrobat pro in browser?

Hi all
I used to use adobe reader to view PDFs, and IE and FF has adobe reader plugins to allow me to view PDFs in my browser. Now that I have installed acobat pro, my browser still open PDF files in adobe reader. Is there any way to include acrobat pro in my browser? Basically what I want to do is to view a PDF online, edit it right away, and save it to my machine.
Thank You

You need to remove Reader and re-install Acrobat. Reader and Acrobat should not be on the same Windows computer.

Can Acrobat XI be installed on a Windows PC where CS4 (which includes Acrobat Pro 9) is installed?
I have previously been told by Adobe tech support that the applications included in CS4 cannot be upgraded individually, and my guess would be that Acrobat XI and Acrobat Pro 9 cannot coexist on the same machine.  But I wanted to check and make sure.

  • I installed CS6, including Acrobat Pro, now I can't open Acrobat or PDF documents.

I installed CS6, including Acrobat Pro, now I can't open Acrobat or PDF documents. All other CS6 applications are available. The icon for Acrobat just shows the internet explorer icon.

There is a special procedure for Acrobat as part of CS. It goes something like opening one of the other applications and activating, then opening Acrobat (I think the others need to stay open) and activating it. It seems like a strange procedure and is likely documented in your info -- but I can't say for sure.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 & XI both installed on Mac. How can I uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 & not affect Acrobat XI?

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro XI are installed on the same iMac with OS X 10.8.5.  How do I safely uninstall only Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting Acrobat Pro XI?
When I first installed Acrobat Pro XI, I thought maybe I was suppose to leave Acrobat Pro 9 on my computer.
So now I have both Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro 11 installed.
I see no benefit to having both installed. I want to uninstall only the Acrobat Pro 9 and not Acrobat Pro XI.
I am not sure that I can safely uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting the functioning and files for Acrobat Pro XI.
I started to uninstall Acrobat 9, but I stopped when I saw a warning in a little window.
I went to the  "Acrobat Uninstaller.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro"  folder and double clicked it.
The Acrobat folder for Acrobat XI Pro came up with the file "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" selected
I manually selected the  "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" folder.
When I clicked on "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" for Acrobat 9  a window with a warning came up. So I stopped.
"Uninstall will remove files, folders, and preferences installed by Acrobat from your system.
There is no undo available. User data files and directories shared by other Adobe applications will not be removed."
Should I go ahead and click [Uninstall]?
I don't think it will delete my pdf files.
Will this affect my Acrobat XI operating &/or preferences? Will Acrobat XI still function correctly?
What do I have to do to safely have just Acrobat XI on my computer without Acrobat 9?
    Thank you for any help.

I am trying to uninstall, I tried to uninstall, but I got the following message when trying to uninstall: "Invalid Application. The application selected was not a valid Acrobat application for this uninstaller. Please rerun the uninstaller." Acrobat 9 installation suddenly stopped working
    Can you help?

  • I can't launch Acrobat Pro 9.0 (OS 10.6.4).  Need Help.

    Hi:
    1.  I have acrobat pro 9.0 ( I haven't updated it) and it was working fine until several days ago, when I updated the OS to the current 10.6.4.   Prior to that, it was working fine with the prior version of snow leopard etc...
    2.  Now, when I try to launch acrobat pro, I just get this message saying that acrobat quit unexpectedly.    I figured that I needed to update acrobat pro, I downloaded the current update, but when I go to update the original application, I can't do it because the icon for acrobat pro is greyed out (hopefully this makes sense).     Furthermore, I can't update acrobat pro by launching the application and having the software updater figure out what is needed... because I can't launch the program in the first place.
    3.  Does anyone know what in the world is going on?   From all of the variables, it's obvious that there's some issue with acrobat pro 9.0 and OS 10.6.4, but I can't figure out how to update the acrobat pro 9.0.
Any thoughts / help, much appreciated.  Harry

Since you have already downloaded all the patches starting from 9.1 to 9.3.4, i would sugg
est a little longer route but this might solve your problem.
    1. Create a new admin account say admin1
    2. Log out from the current admin account and login as admin1(the new admin account)
    3. Now update Acrobat 9.0 to 9.3.4
    4. Now if you want you can logout and login into the original admin.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • Can I load Acrobat Pro 6 onto Windows 7 and upgrade to Acrobat Pro 9?

Can I load Acrobat Pro 6 onto Windows 7 and upgrade to Acrobat Pro 9?  My former PC ran on Windows XP and this new PC runs on Windows 7.  I don't want to shell out another $449 when Acrobat Pro 9 worked fine for me.

You might be able to install Acrobat 6 for this purpose, but you probably won't have to. When you install Acrobat 9 Upgrade it should (if I remember right) ask for the serial number of your "qualifying" product and at that point you put in the Acrobat 6 serial.

  • I can't activate Acrobat Pro license

    Hello
after the inconveniences and the impossibility to connect and sync my documents with Creative Cloud Connection, now it is the turn of Acrobat Pro to giving me trouble.
I can't activate Acrobat Pro license, so I can't use it.
After launching Acrobat Pro, a blank page that should contain the license agreement appears, but the button for accepting the license doesn't work. I have deinstalled and reinstalled several times the application without success.
Thank you to explain me how to resolve this problem.

  • Reinstall Acrobrat Pro X. Can't reinstall Acrobat Pro X after computer crash

I am trying to reinstall Acrobat Pro X after a compter crash. I enter the correct serial number but then get asked to select a prior product, in my case Acrobat Pro 9, and enter the serial number (this is the number that appears in my account), but there is nowhere to enter the serial number. And if I try to reinstall Pro 9 it won't let me. Do I have to deinstall Pro X first, or what? ALl input welcomed, thanks. Shanter

Thanks Bill, that seems to have done the trick. I am now successfully
    reinstalling Pro X.

Hey. I have a problem. I updated my mac os x to 10:8 for I can not start Acrobat Pro, which I bought six months ago.
Proglamet says that the computer does not support Power PC. Help
When I try to start it says (program "Acrobat 6.0.2 Professional.app" can not open because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.)
    Please help

The version of Acrobat you have is a PowerPC application and will not run on Mountain Lion.  You will need to upgrade/purchase an Intel version of Acrobat Pro, probably Version 9.
It might have been worth checking to see if the apps you run are supported on ML before upgrading.  If you backed up your system before the upgrade you could always revert to your previous level.

  • Can I slipstream Acrobat Pro?

I want to slipstream Acrobat Pro 9.0 to 9.4.2?  Is it possible and if so what patches do I need and what is the process?
Thanks for any and all help!

    PFB the steps:
    1. Copy the Acrobat Pro 9.0 msi installer to your machine.
    2. Create a distribution point (a folder where the installer can install the uncompressed program files).
    3. Click Start, click Run, and then enter the following command:
    msiexec /a <path of Acrobat 9.0 msi>
    4. When you receive a prompt asking where to install the files, browse to the distribution point you created in step 2.
    5. Click OK. When the installer finishes, all files will be at the distribution point.
Also Acrobat 9.0 msi should be there at the distribution point.(This msi is used in step 7 below)
To add patches to the administrative installation:
    6. Copy the Acrobat msp(9.1.0 ,9.1.2 , 9.2.0 ,9.3.0, 9.3.2 ,9.3.3 ,9.4.0 , 9.4.2 patch on your machine.
    7. Click Start, then click Run, and then type CMD.
At the command prompt, type the following:
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.1.0 msp>
after that apply patch ONE  BY ONE
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.1.2 msp>
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.2.0 msp>
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.3.0 msp>
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.3.3 msp>
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.4.0msp>
    msiexec /a <path of msi at distribution point> /p <path of Acrobat 9.4.2msp>
After installation is successful you can copy this folder (distribution point) to any server and deploy it
    OR
manually also you can install Acrobat 9.4.2 by running the msi at the distribution point.
