We are using Avaya's Application Enablement Services (AES) and not the AIC, is there a to integrate the AES into CRM for chat?

Hi Mani,
1. No. CR 2008 is not compatible / tested/ supported with VS 2010.
Only CR for VS 2010 is supported and meant to work with VS 2010.

When you create and deploy a VC application, the deployed iView/s are automatically created in the portal under the folder that you have specified (in VC Tools> Compiler options>portal deployment), or by default under Content Administration>Portal Content>Visual Composer folder.
Check this for your BI, VC and Portal requirement:

Can i receive XML via a web service into the PDF form??

hi all, I am able to send data to a server via a web service configured in my email submit button. Once the data has been received on the server, a reference number is sent back. My problem starts here as the reference number comes back into my browser and not back into the PDF. How can i get the reference number into the PDF? Thanks J

I have another question if you don't mind.
I am trying to establish a WSDL in ALCD. I establish the connection successfully and
in return i receive predefined objects such as 3 numeric fields and a button.
I drag these objects onto a new form and try to execute but nothing happens.
The first 2 objects are supposed to accept input, send it via WSDL to a server that should return
a new value back to another predefined object when the button is clicked.
I have not response when the button is clicked. It is as if there is not connection at all.
If i try and change the button to a submit button and enter the WSDL manually it tries to connect but fails.
The WSDL does work if I test it using soapUI.
Would you have any idea why this is not working?

I just finished publishing my AIR mobile app for iOS and Android, both featuring freemium style in-app purchasing/billing, for a single purpose only - opening the app to be full featured.
Now the client wants a desktop version of the app. I need a way to monetize the same way: the user wants all the features - they click a button in the app, pay the 2 dollars, and now all the features are accessible.
I think going out to PayPal, paying there and returning to the app would be best, but I cannot get the files I found here to work.
Do you have any suggestions of a workflow with examples, or a service with AS3 support?

Consuming WS-RM enabled service in CAF

When i imported a WS-RM enabled service in a CAF project i can see in the design time that the operation is still showing that WS-RM is still not enabled. Is it possible to consume a WS-RM enabled service into CAF? If yes, Please suggest some way to do.

Hi Rohit,
You cannot configure reliable messaging for Web services you have imported in your composite application. You can only find out which of the operation of the external service support reliable messaging in the Operations tab of the external service editor.
To check whether any of the operations of the service you have imported supports idempotency or reliable messaging, open the Operations tab page and check the Idempotency and WS-RM columns in the Existing Operations table.

How to integrate two Siebel Applications into single app UI

Dear All,
Currently we have a Siebel application which is running with various Siebel modules. Like for example in one single application object manager we are having various screens and views related to various modules like UCM, Loyalty, Marketing etc.
But due to some operational reasons, we would like to deploy few modules as applications on different machines.For example we will install a separate Marketing application on a server and loyalty on a separate server.
How can we integrate all these applications installed in different different machines in a single App Object Manager to provide a single UI interface for the user.
So even after segregating into different applications, we would like to have single app UI for user.
Please suggest if it already being implemented in such a way anywhere.

The way to do this is to redirect the text output from the program to a file, and then read the file into LV. I unfortunately don't have all the information with me, but do a search in the archives here. The way I learned about is was a discussion a couple years ago. You can also check online for information related to writing DOS batch files--which is how you actually run the DOS program--that should get you pointed in the right direction.
So it is possible, messy, but possible.

How to create Web Service:
1. Create EJB Project(Stateless session bean is recommended).
2. Create interface according to your requirements
3. Signature(Parameters, data type) should be same in Remote,Bean and Local interface
4. Create EAR Project and corresponding add the EJB Project
5. Expose EJB as Web service. Right click on EJB Project->other->web services->web service(new VI and VSD).
6. Deploy to Application Server.
7. Goto http://localhost:50100/index.html. click on Web service navigator you can find web service
8. Test the web service.

thank you for the help. I should have said I had a iphone 3. A friend has the same phone and she showed me how she can see what web pages are open when she double taps the home button. Mine is set to bring up favourites when I double tap (chosen from settings>general>home button).. BUT my choices are only HOME; SEARCH; PHONE FAVORITES; CAMERA or IPOD. I changed my choice to HOME but that just defeats the purpose as when I am at the home page and double tap nothing happens. Am I making sense?

Information on enabled services and which ones I can safely disable

Where is a good source of infomation for all of the enabled services (what they do, etc) and which ones I can safely disable. i.e. seaport.

Opt back in and then immediately back out (yes I know this sounds daft)
Leave you hub on 24/7 and it should deactivate as said with in 48 hours.
Don't reset the hub after doing this, as it always puts BTWifi back on!
fwiw, you should see this on the hub event log as the hub gets the btwifi disabled update

Yes that is possible. You will configure the SAP Authentication per SAP system and you can leverage the users per system.

Question: Do you think the response from the support staff is correct? I mean, surely, I can't be the only CF user on a shared box whose other users need to modify the date and time within their applications. Even if they do it at the application level for their domain, surely it wouldn't affect mine, would it? That was what was implied by the support people, but I have a feeling they are way off, or covering for some goof-up on their end. I struggled like hell yesterday trying to get this to work and I did not get very far at all.
I found an interesting tutorial here which does a comparison of time zones and, theoretically, this might do the trick. But if what the guy told me was nonsense then I won't bother with it. For the record, our calendar has been working fine for about a week now.
