Can we just have the old numbers back?

Ok so we have mavericks, please put numbers back with all the old options..... I am not techie I just want to use things intuitively the way SJ p,panned it.

Unless you trashed your old version, it's still there. As with all Apple Upgrades that I've seen, the old version stays on the system.
You will find it in Applications / iWork '09.

Now, perhaps you meant that it will never be changed back to the exact format of the old site, but that's not what you said. As I read it, the only reasonable interpretations of your utterance were as follows:
That you are privy to some Top Secret information concerning the long-term plans of Apple's support site structure, and had some inside knowledge that the site would, in fact, not change.
That you were under the mistaken belief that the site would actually remain unchanged.
I reasoned that the first option was patently absurd, leaving me with option #2. And that, my dear Kappy, is the interpretation upon which I based my reply.
All of this confusion could have been easily avoided had you been a bit more articulate with your meaning in the first place.

I do not like the change. I was happy with what I had and very comfortable with it. Set it back.

We spent a lot of time designing the new interface. In our user testing the majority of our users felt like it was a big improvement and it really streamlined the browser. Did you take the onboarding tour? It shows you how the new firefox works. It's actually got all of the old features + a ton more. What specifically don't you like about the change? That might help.
That being said, we really care about all of our users and not just the majority vote ;) Firefox is '''SO CUSTOMIZABLE''' that if you really really want the old look back you can do it with one quick step. Newest iTunes blows big time! Can I have the old one back :(

Seriously, I cant find anything, cant do anything, shuffle does not work, the views suck, I want the old horizontal album cover view back. Makes me want to go buy a Samsung or something different.... for the first time in 4 years.... I wont even get into having to buy a $45 adapter for my iPhone 5. Seriously though, fix iTunes, it *****!

I couldn't agree more. the short time it worked before the program tried to update its self and was deleted from the computer, it was hard to find anything. now can't load any version. all i get is error 2324. Hey Apple, get it fixed. we shouldn't have to pay another company for a "fix" program just to run ituens!!!!

Can I have the old autocomplete back?

I'm more a keyboard user than a mouser. So I'm in the habit of typing URLs rather than clicking bookmarks.
In Safari 5 the autocomplete suggestions are all different from what I'm used to. It's so infuriating.
Is this some gratuitous UI change I just have to accept (like a new version of Windows or MS Office) or is there some hidden config item so I can put it back the way it was?

Avoid url's autocompletion: The url's you see when you start typing a web page address are collected from your History and Bookmarks. One way to avoid that is to turn on Private Browsing from the Safari Menu Bar, Safari/Private Browsing. In private browsing, Safari won't remember the pages you visit, your search history, or your autofill information.

Hi. Does anybody know how to get the old iTunes installed. I realy don't like the new version. Acually i havn't met anybody who does. It takes to long organising my playlists and stuff and i don't have the same overview of everthing anymore.

Can I please have my old iCal back?

I had my computer updated to Lion maybe two weeks ago. Being months away from finally completing my undergrad, I can honestly say I have no problem with change. But I've been trying to make myself adapt to this new system, and I keep coming back to the same frustrations. I miss being able to slide all four fingers and see which programs were running. The new swipes are fine, I just don't think 'mission control' is really a productivity upgrade. I think it's just something new, for the sake of being new. The biggest problem with the last update though is iCal. If there were any way I could make iCal go back to the way it was, I would be an extremely happy student. Especially since I'm a full time student with three part time jobs.
iCal is kindof a big deal.

My speaker went out on iphone 5 so apple sends me a new one, it says if there is water damage to my old one they will charge me retail price. I don't know if there is but if they do find damage can I just get my old one back and send them theirs back?

purchased a G5 iMac to replace my aging dell desktop,
and now i'm more or less completely os x dependant
(I've had an ibook for a few months now). Anyway, I
have a few questions:
1. Does anyone know of a (free) mail notifier tool,
that will alert me when I recieve new pop3 mail? I
used to use AIM for this in windows
The built in email program does sound an alert for new messages.
2. Anyone know of a good (free, again) IRC client?
iChat works well.
3. I noticed earlier that my screen was flickering,
it seems to have subsided for now, but is that normal
to encounter in a new display? It wasn't really bad
flicker, but I could see it.

4. I leave my desktops on 24/7x365, will that be a
problem with this iMac? Display shuts off of course
after 30 mins
You could set the iMac to go to sleep after non use. My Macs are
always sleeping when not in use, waking them up takes seconds.
Unlike windoze, never knew if it would be locked up or not.
5. Should I get the extended warranty? I'm usually
against them, but I am expecting this computer to
last me at least 3 years (for $1300 it better!)
before I upgrade, as I got that much out of a Dell
and from what I understand, Mac's do not age nearly
as fast as Windows pc's.
It is well worth the cost. Never know what might happen. Also
it is good insurance for future upgrades. I traded in my G4 tower
purchased two years ago for 75% of what I paid for it. Apple care
transfers, giving the buyer the remainder of your warranty.

Just to clarify, let's say you have tab 1 Google results and tab 2 something else. When you Ctrl+click a link in tab 1, it opens between tab 1 and tab 2 instead of at the end? Here's how you switch that:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''tabs''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent''' preference to switch it from true to false.
You can switch back to an earlier tab and test. Success?

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.
