Can we maintain division specific credit limits?

Hi All,
we have one company code & one Cr.Control area.
but we have 2 sales areas.
eg: 1000/10/AA &
1000/10/BB.
My client wants to maintain division specific credit limits like
div:AA- $4000
& BB- $6000.
Total Credit control area limit -$10000.
in FD32- we can maintain customer/cr.control area specific limits only.
Can we maintain division specific?if yes, where can we enter 2 different limits to same customer.
plzz reply asap.

Sol'n:  for all those who would like to know, what we have adopted is,
We create Sales area wise Credit control areas & assigned to respective sales area in IMG as well as in CMR.
we have assigned multiple credit control areas to a single comp code
( IMG - FI - AR/AP- Credit Management - Credit Control account - Assign Permitted Cr.control areas for Comp code)
then,
In FD32-
Maintained Customer credit sheet as desired such as
Cr.Control -1 = $4000
Cr.Control - 2 = $6000
But the thing is we have to manually monitor these limits at the time of FD32 creation ( what is max credit limit we are offering, how much is allocated for particular Cr.Control area which means division)
Hope it helps in understanding.
any more plz revert

  • Can we maintain role specific number ranges?

Can we maintain role specific number ranges in sapcrm..ex i want to give number range between 0-100 to role sold-to-party. is this possible ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
You cannot maintain an explicit relationship between the number ranges in CRM and roles.
To configure number ranges you have to define groupings in CRM.
While you create your BP, it is this point of time when you have to specified the grouping you want to use (indirectly the number range assigned to it). This will decide the number for the BP.

You can map the Import cycle in SAP. The standard business practices in SAP are
    1. Create the Import pricing procedure with all necessary import conditions like customs duty, CVD, Landing cost, handling charges, Freight charges etc. Assign it to the schema group & inturn to Pur. organisation.
2.Create the import vendor master record.Assign the import schema group to this vendor. So that while creating import PO for this venor, the system will determine the import conditions.
3.Create the Import Po with Zero tax code & also with req Payment terms.
4.Enter the Customs vendor against the Customs & CVD conditions. Also maintain Freight vendor against freight conditions in the PO itself.
5.Do the MIRO for Customs vendor. Enter manually all the details in MIRO take the ref as a Bill of entry,
5.Do the MIGO for PO, Capture the excise & post the doc. As per Indian Govt Excise rule, you can take the credit of CVD as Excise.
    6.Post the Excise doc.
7.Do the MIRO for material vendor.
    8.Clear the Payment.

  • How can i maintain seasional wise credit limit for the customer

    please
    help me the scenario
    regards
    ram

    hello, friend.
you can do this in OVA8.
let's say the usual business cycle is that sales always grows to 20% above normal during the month of december.  your company decides to increase the customer's credit by 5% during this period.
for this, go to OVA8.  in the 'Credit limit seasonal factor' enter '5%' and specify from 01 december 2008 to 31 december 2008.  then assign the risk category to the credit account via FD32.
the date range is specific and is not automatically renewable.  you must also remove the entries here if the requirement is no longer active.
    regards.

  • Material specific  credit

    hai everybody,
Can we set Material specific credit limit in sd, do we have that option in standard?
Can we do automatic brand/wise invoicing to the customer?

    Hi,
Material specific credit limit is not possible in standard SAP.
What you can do is group the similar material in one division and maintain credit limit based on Sales area.
    Sales org +Dist Cha +Division.
By the way what is brand wise invoicing ?
You can schedule invoice creation program anyway

  • How to maintain two credit limits for the same customer.

We have two lines of business for the same company code. One customer is trading in two lines of business.
We want to maintain two credit limits for same customer. How is this possible.

    Hi,
Credit Limits are assigned to customer master in a credit control area, so a customer can have different credit limits for the different credit control areas.
(Please note that Credit Control Areas are normally assigned to company codes or sales area.)
But if you are having only one credit control area, then only one credit limit can apply.
However you can use the user exits to put any check you want for the customer. There are various user exits available for it like LVKMPTZZ,LVKMPFZ1,LVKMPFZ2 and LVKMPFZ3 in transaction SMOD

  • I have a 60G classic with a non-functioning center select button. Can I set a specific playlist and change settings by hooking up to my PC and then maintain those settings and that playlist once I go remote?

I have a 60G classic with a non-functioning center select button. Can I set a specific playlist and change settings by hooking up to my PC and then maintain those settings and that playlist once I go remote?

I'm having a little trouble understanding the part about your password having to be reset. Why is that happening??
    Let's start with Firefox's settings:
    (1) You can configure the password manager feature on this tab:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security
There is a checkbox to enable/disable the feature.
There also is a "Saved Passwords" button to review and remove any passwords you do not want Firefox to keep.
That tab also has a feature to set a Master Password so that no one can use your saved passwords without knowing the Master Password. You may need to exit Firefox in order for Firefox to ask for that again.
    Related articles:
    * [[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]
    * [[Use a Master Password to protect stored logins and passwords]]
    (2) Site-specific permissions
If you want to use the password manager for other sites but NOT a particular site, you can configure that in the Permissions Manager.
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' in the address bar and press Enter.
After the page loads, use the search box in the upper left corner to narrow down the list to the site you want to configure. Highlight the site on the left side, and on the right side, choose Block under Store Passwords.
    (3) Form autocomplete suggestions
Separate from passwords, Firefox remembers entries you've made into forms (in most cases) and lists the matching ones below the form field in a drop-down.
To clear a suggestion, press the down arrow key to highlight it and press the Delete key.
To turn off this feature, see this article: [[Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms with your information]].
To review and selectively edit or delete form history entries, you need an add-on. For example, you could try this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/form-history-control/

  • Credit Limits in Divisions

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario wherein I have Customer "X" existing in 3 divisions D1, D2, D3. How do I give different Credit limits for X in D1 Rs.100k, in D2 Rs. 50K and in D3 Rs. 75K.
I do not want to create 3 seperate master data for X.
    Pls. suggest.
    Vinod

    Hi
If all the divisions belong to same company code then it is not possible
If it is of different company codes then the option suggested bt Mr.Sivanand MIGHT work
See credit limit for a customer is defined for credit control area in FD32
In turn a company code will be assigned to only one credit control area
Credit limit for a customer applies for the products purchased by him in all divisions
Moreover in real time FI people have the bigger say in these Credit issues
    Check with them
    Hope it clarifies

how to  Maintain  Credit Mgmt settings as per Profit Centre.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Siva,
We Can not Maintain Credit  Control settings as per Profit Centre. Because Profit Centers are used for Internal Control purposes enabling management  the ability to review areas of responsibility within their organization.
    Hope this is clear.

  • How can we maintain multiple payment terms for a customer

how can we maintain multiple payment terms for a customer?

    Hi,
You can leave the Payment terms field in the sales area data tab blank. and you can enter the payment terms at line item level while creating the sales order. By that you will achieve multiple payment terms for the same customer in the same sales order. but the invoice will be split by standard SAP based on the payment terms.
Also difference between the "Payment Terms" field in Company code tab and the sales Area tab is.
Company code tab payment terms are used only for the documents that are posted directly in FI module. for example credit and debit memos posted directly in FI and as a leading practice this should always be "payable Immidiately"
Sales area Tab payment terms are the one which are copied on to the sales order header data which are valid for all the line items unless you specifically mention different payment terms at line item level.

  • Credit limits for the same Customer for different countries.

    Hi SAP Gurus,
A customer belongs to 2 different countries, the credit limits are maintained  in FD32 for one country.
But basing on the "country" the credit limits should change for the same customer.
So how we need to handle FD32 in this scenario. Is there any option to maintain credit limits basing on the "Country"?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi ,
sales area wise , you can differentiate the credit limit . In this case , you can have one more credit control area and assign it to new sales area. it the same customer comes under diff country , extend the customer  to the new sales area . By doing so, you can have 2 credit limits for the same customer.

  • Client wants to block the order if customer's credit Limits exceeds.

    Dear All,
Client wants to block the order if customer's credit Limits exceeds. But Sales order no. is to be generated.Later on that blocked order is to be released by Authority.
I did all the configurations. Order is blocked if the customer credits exceeds, but order no is not get generated. Without order no, Authority can not release.
Kindly guide me where i have gone wrong.
    Awaiting for your quick reply
    Regards,
    umapathy

    HI,
Please do not put a credit block in the Credit Management settings. Instead check in the CMR and the VOV8 sales order setting. Also if possible maintain an incompletion procedure wherein SO number would created but the document would be blocked for delivery creation.
Usually the SO would be released using v.23 by the proper authority, that should work fine and would not hamper SO creation process.
    Thanks

  • Tab u201CCurrent credit limits assignedu201D  & u201CMaximum permitted credit limits"

    Hi,
Please explain the diferrence between the tab u201CCurrent credit limits assignedu201D  and the tab u201CMaximum permitted credit limitsu201D  in the Central Data of general data in FD32.
In the first case it is written like this:
    Current credit limits assigned:
    Total amount:
    Largest individual limit:
    and
    Maximum permitted credit limits:
    Total amount:
    Maximum individual limit:
    Thanks,
    Jans

    Hi,
Please note the below details as required:-
In the Central Data Screen, you can enter the Total Limit and Individual Limit. This is applicable when a customer is assigned to several credit contral areas (via different company codes), and there is a total limit for the customer for all of the credit control areas and an individual limit for the specific credit control area. The Currency becomes important because different credit control areas can have different currencies.
Please also refer the below forum:-
Maximum permitted credit limits in FD32

    hello, friend.
sorry for the late reply.  i believe you can come up with your own sales calendar by going IMG > Net Weaver > General Settings > Maintain calendar (t-code SCAL).  define your calendar and assign this to your sales organization.

  • Can LSMW use customer specific mapping program?

Can LSMW use customer specific mapping program?
I have created a LSMW project to migrate various objects (Material, pricing conditions, conditions) for our new division. I want to add another object – Purchasing Info records. We already have a customer specific mapping program that prepares the data for SXDB to complete the migration. After creating the new object in LSMW, I looked in step 1 (Maintain object attributes) but couldn’t see anywhere convenient to put the program name.
I know that LSMW provides a mapping facility of it’s own, but can I avoid reinventing the wheel and instead own specific program?
    Slath

    Hi,
I am afraid, that is not possible. It is possible to create your own BDC recording but not the way you want to do. LSMW needs to know your source and target structures and then you do the mapping from source to target within LSMW. It stores this mapping information in several tables and unless LSMW has those entries, it will not be able to generate the mapping(conversion) program. Also, LSMW creates a 'read' file and later a 'converted' file. Your mapping program may not be doing that, which means LSMW cannot execute it in later steps to actually create the Purchase Info Records.
You will have to create your own BI or DI program or a business object and a BAPI, or an IDOC type and message type and then publish it to standard SAP, then may be it will be possible. But that will be lot of work, instead use the standard one availble to you.
If you want to use your existing code then, when you get to the mapping part of it, just cut and paste the logic specific to each field in the appropriate place, or don't do any individual field mapping, but just paste all the mapping logic in the ENDOF_RECORD_ section.
