  • Same number range for commercial invoice.

    Hi.
    Can we maintain same number range as last year for commercial invoice for new fiscal year?
    if last year Invoice no is 60000001
    new fiscal year again 1st no is  60000001
    then what will happen to earlier number?
    Reg.
    Amol

    The invoice gets stored in table VBRK
    if you reset the number range, then SAP would try to post e.g. invoice 60000001 but as there is already a record in VBRK table the program will dump and not create the invoice. This will happen ongoing until  a number is reached that is not in the database.

  • Multiple integration flows for different business operations

    Hi - I have following business requirement & need ur advice.
    There are different business operations (read as INSERT/DELETE/QUERY) to performed on same business object (read as CUSTOMER). In order to develop these integration use case I can have following three approaches.
    *1. Single Requestor ABCS & Single Provider ABCS -* Develop single integration flow & implement logic for the business operations in them. That means, Develop single Requestor ABCS for all business operations, which will call the EBS and again EBS would call same Provider ABCS. Both Requestor & Provider ABCS would implement business logic for all business operations required.
    *2. Single Requestor ABCS & Multiple Provider ABCS -* In this case the flows for all business operations starts with single point service. That means, Develop single Requestor ABCS for all business operations, which will call the EBS and again EBS would call different Provider ABCS based on the business operations. The Requestor ABCS would implement business logic for all business operations required. There would be different ABCS service for different business operations.
    *3. Multiple Requestor ABCS & Multiple Provider ABCS -* In this case the completely independent flows are to be developed for all business operations. Independent Requestor ABCS and independent Provider ABCS. Off course if there some common business logic for all or some business operations, those can be implemented as common service & can used across all independent flows for different business operations.
    Please do suggest what approach would be best one to pick up. Or it is case to case basis. In case yes, please suggest the criteria on which the decision can be taken.
    Thanks In Advance
    Priyadarshi

    Hi Pryadarshi,
    AIA recommends having an ABCS for each Verb and Noun combination for a specific Business Process, i.e. CreateCustomerABCS and UpdateCustomerABCS. Therefore, #3 would be the preferred approach. This is to allow for maximum flexibility. However, you may have a process that demands to model the integration as #2.
    The decision would depend on how the participating application services are modeled and the granularity of individual service call. For example, a ProcessCustomer invocation at the source end may call CreateCustomer provider service.

  • Validation not working for Business place/section mandatory

    Hiii experts, i am trying to a write a validation for making business place/section mandatory in some of t-codes like f-47, f-37 fb60 and so on... i wrote the following logic in validation
    Prequisite
    BKPF-BUKRS = '1991' AND SYST-TCODE = 'F-47'
    Check
    BSEG-BUPLA = '1991' AND BSEG-SECCO = '1991'
    Message
    Business Place and Business Section does not exist ..
    Moreover i activated the same in ob28 with 2( active, no batch input). After this when i ran f-47 for DP request... it doesnt suppose any error message when i dont write Business place/section... Kindly Guide me..
    Regards
    Abhay

    Hi
    Please put the validation rule as under:
    Prequisite
    BKPF-BUKRS = '1991' AND SYST-TCODE = 'FBA6'
    Check
    BSEG-BUPLA <> '1991' AND BSEG-SECCO <> '1991'
    Message
    Business Place and Business Section does not exist
    Also post a transaction in system and check the actual t code. For eg, when you post the transaction with F-47, the actual system transaction code is FBA6 and for F-48 it is FBA7.

  • Same number range for two different series groups?

    Dear all,
    There are two scenarios
    1.Normal export under bond case, series group is 20 and number range maintained,running number is 300016
    2.Another scenario,where ARE1 document generation for Deemed exp customer(already customised) , series group is 30.
    But, client requirement is , for this second scenario also, system should pickup running number range of series group 20(under bond case)  as per excise legal requirement
    Ie running number is for series group 20 is 300016
    For the above deemed exp case (second scenario)it should pickup 300017
    And again when they do under bond case(first scenario), it should pick up 300018 like that
    Is it possible to maintain the same number range for two different series groups(20 and 30)?
    Even if you maintain the same number range for 30, as per running number range of 20
    Will the system update simultaneously the same number range for 20 and 30 series groups?
    Please suggest the way.

    With two different series groups, it is not possible to have the same number range. Even if you maintain it, they will be treated independently.
    Normally, you should not use different series groups if the same number range has to be used. In fact, the concept of series group has been developed to ensure that number ranges can be maintained separately.

  • Urgent : Unable to maintain the Number ranges for Excise Groups

    Hi CIN experts............
    In Development server I created 3 excise Groups (E2,E3 and E4), the same I was transported to Production.
    J_1IRG23A1, J_1IRG23A2 object number ranges are Excise Group specific.
    When I go to Tools - Number Ranges to maintain number range for J_1IRG23A1, J_1IRG23A2 objects I didn't find these excise groups.
    Im able to see these Excise groups in Tools - Number ranges in Development server, but not in Production.
    Can any one guide me something to resolving the issue ?

  • SAME NUMBER RANGES FOR DOMESTIC AND EXPORT INVOICE

    Dear All,
    We have maintained Two objects separately for Exports and Domastic sales invoices which is inturn giving two different number ranges.
    But our client needs same number to be continued for both.
    For eg: 000001 .  000002 and 000003 is the number range for domastic invoices for Export invoice 00004 should come. now as we have maintained different objects Export invoice is starting from 00001.
    Our client does'nt want to maintain separate number ranges for Exports and Domastic, same number range should be there for both which should follow continues numbers.
    Please suggest me on this at the earliest.
    Regards,
    Jay

    Dear Jay
    Assuming that you are asking about Excise Invoice number ranges, please do maintain Numbers for the Object: J_1IEXCLOC
    When you go into J1IIN, you will need to mark the checkbox: Use Local Number. If at the first time (in the case of Deemed and Regular Exports), you do not see this checkbox, click on the 'Calculator' icon and hit the 'Back' icon. Mark the checkbox and save your Excise Invoice. This number will be a continuation of your Domestic Excise Invoice.
    thanks

  • How can we maintain multiple payment terms for a customer

    how can we maintain multiple payment terms for a customer?

    Hi,
    You can leave the Payment terms field in the sales area data tab blank. and you can enter the payment terms at line item level while creating the sales order. By that you will achieve multiple payment terms for the same customer in the same sales order. but the invoice will be split by standard SAP based on the payment terms.
    Also difference between the "Payment Terms" field in Company code tab and the sales Area tab is.
    Company code tab payment terms are used only for the documents that are posted directly in FI module. for example credit and debit memos posted directly in FI and as a leading practice this should always be "payable Immidiately"
    Sales area Tab payment terms are the one which are copied on to the sales order header data which are valid for all the line items unless you specifically mention different payment terms at line item level.

  • Input range for different channels

    Hi,
    In one of my experiments, the data I acquire in different channels have different magnitudes (in Volts). Therefore, I am trying to set a different input range to these various channels. Here's a picture (input_range.png) of a part of my VI where I am trying to assign input ranges to the analog input channels.
    Channels ai0-7 have the range +/-200mV and channels ai8-15 have +/-500V. I do not have the equipment with me at the moment, so I can't test this. But I am wondering whether this is how you would normally set different input ranges for different channels or whether there's a better way to do this.
    Cheers.

    Thanks for the quick reply Mike.
    I found the following post which showed me how to do it
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=318492&query.id=74076#M318492
    However, I am having difficulties in actually acheiving this. Firstly, I don't know how to set up the arrays as he's done there. Secondly, I could not get the auto-indexing to work. I've attached a pic of my attempt. When I try to enable auto-indexing on the right-hand side of the for-loop it breaks the wires and I can't even enable auto-indexing on the left hand side.
    Will it be possible to attach a VI for this part so I can see what functions you've used.
    Cheers.

  • Same preparedstatement object for different queries.. ?

    Actually I m getting same preparedstatement object for many queries in a for loop..In this scenario its not working properly..Suppose like dis..
    connection con.setAutoCommit(false);
    PreparedStatement prepStmt = con.prepareStatement(
    "UPDATE DEPT SET MGRNO=? WHERE DEPTNO=?");
    prepStmt.setString(1,mgrnum1);
    prepStmt.setString(2,deptnum1);
    prepStmt.addBatch();
    PreparedStatement prepStmt = con.prepareStatement(
    "UPDATE EMP SET EMPNO=? WHERE DEPTNO=?");
    prepStmt.setString(1,empno1);
    prepStmt.setString(2,deptnum2);
    prepStmt.addBatch();
    Whether we can take same preparedstatement object for different query..??Its not giving any error but its not updating all the records but only the last one...
    Any solution..

    Ignore all of the above.
    You are using a batch.
    There is a specific idiom for that. You create the statement once and then keep calling the appropriate methods on it to load and then execute the batch, and check errors.
    When done you close it. If you need commit you are going to need to deal in blocks.
    If you have a large volume of data then database import tools are very likely to be substantially faster.

  • Can we maintain diff tax codes for one tax condition type in creating CRs

    Hi Gurus,
    Can we maintain diff tax codes for one tax condition type during maintaining of Condition Records. (Taxes)
    For example in VK11 screen for different combination of tax classification for customer and tax classification for material and
    tax codes like P0, P1, P2 etc. If so which tax code will be picked during creation of sales order? Pls help me........
    Regards.......Divakaran

    Hi Karan,
    Yes we can.
    For example you have three tax code
    P0 -- 0% (Fully exempt)
    P1-- 5% (Half tax)
    P2 -- 10% (Full tax)
    Now when you create the condition record then you have to create the three condition record for one condition type
    MWST
    Country -- tax classification of customer -- tax classification of material -- Tax % -- Tax code
