Can we make Apple TV an coax receiver? So I can use my iPad for watching TV.

I wonder if Apple can make an coax receiver who looks like a Apple TV box. Than my iPad can connect to that receiver box and I can watch TV on my iPad.
I can lay in bed or poop on the toilet and watch TV. It would make my life so easy! Do anyone feel the same?

Sorry for that, was just an example. Let me take another example: I want to watch TV on my iPad when im am working in the garage so i can watch the news, and i do not have to stop working. It would make things easy and i would buy such a box. Now i read that there are already some products on the market that give that feature.

From what I can tell, when I select the movie and hit the airplay button to move it to the apple TV, my iPad is still doing all the work of streaming the movie. Have you tried the Remote app on iPhone/iPad to control AppleTV, do searches etc? Should be easier than the remote alone and this does not involve Airplay.
Please note, only users read/comment here - your idea is quite sensible in my view (maybe have a 'Continue viewing on AppleTV' option or something. I doubt this would be high on Apple's roadmap but send them feedback here:

GSX, if you're referring to Apple's service by that name, is available only to employees of Apple-authorized service providers or self-servicing accounts. Unless you are employed by such an organization, you cannot access GSX. If you are employed by such an organization, they should set you up and give you the appropriate login information.
If you are interested in becoming a certified Apple hardware technician, you can find information here:

Please note, though, that certification does not in and of itself give you access to any of the Apple resouces for support organizations; diagnostic tools, parts ordering, etc. You again must be employed by an authorized Apple support provider before you can gain such access.

I've tried opening straight into other apps and just get error messages, and I the mail preview there is just a grey screen telling me the file name and size. It worked fine until I did the IOS upgrade

Select the desired location in preferences, then consolidate the media files to it.

If you scanned the documents - what format did you save them in - pdf? If so, Pages will not open pdf files. you can save a file and export it as a pdf from Pages - but not the other way around.
If you need simply view the documents - you can send them to the iPad via email or DropBox and them open and save them in iBooks. or Adobe Reader. both apps are free. Adobe Reader can use file sharing in iTunes to transfer the files.
If you need to annotate the files - you will need an app like Goodreader - which can use file sharing from iTunes in order to transfer the files as well. GoodReader may work with iCloud now, but you will have to check that out in the App Store.
You can read this to see how to use file sharing. It really is pretty easy to use. You do need to do this with your computer.

Allan was somewhat incomplete in his statement. While technically it would be possible, from a licensing standpoint you need one license for each iPad unless those iPads were all going to be used by the same person (which I think unlikely given your described use). Here are the relevant terms of the iTunes Store agreement (emphasis mine):
"(ii) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices used by that individual that you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control. For example, a single employee may use an App Store Product on both the employee's iPhone and iPad, or multiple students may serially use an App Store Product on a single iPad located at a resource center or library. For the sake of clarity, each iOS Device used serially by multiple users requires a separate license."
So you would legally need to purchase one copy of the app for each iPad, something which would require an iTunes Store account for each iPad. For normal purchases, each iTunes Store account would need an associated credit card or prepaid iTunes card.
The Volume Purchase Plan works similarly - you still need one license and one iTunes Store account for each iPad - but the purchasing is centralized so you don't get billed multiple times. You get one recemption code for each license you purchase. See:

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

the 4 digit pin is usually default to 0000 or 1111.
If pairing, it can also be anything you choose, providing that you enter the same 4 digits into both items to pair.

i dont know why you would make a separate account either if you have been getting on fine before, unless you need to talk to your wife with iMessage or something
if you do run out of cloud storage it's probably cheaper to just upgrade it than make your own apple id and have to buy everything again

I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

They have an ibook, which is trapped on old versions of OSX itunes etc. I want to get all their content to an accesible place, so they can access all of this on their ipad2. My initial thought was time capsule, as it also contains a base station for wifi, but i read i can only use this with a computer. An alternative might be the cloud. Any thoughts or suggestions? budget not an issue, but they only really need to use the ipad for leisure - they dont have need of a new laptop
