Can we please go back to the old Podcast software

The new iTunes interface is overly complex and needs a major overhaul.
Particularly how one interfaces with one's podcast subscriptions. There are so many options all over the place (in the iPhone section, in the Mac library of podcasts) and they do so many things, I don't know how to set up the system for what I would like it to do. The old interface was much more intuitive and much easier to use to get it to do what you want.
Here's what I want.
To be able to turn automatic subscriptions on and off
To be able to select from available podcasts, upload them to the Mac and forward them onto my iPhone, hopefully somewhat automatically.
To be able to play or delete a selected podcast (from my Mac or my iPhone) and then have it NOT be constantly reloaded, just because I didn't play it all. It must be possible for iTunes to keep a list of all podcasts from a supplier and mark them, 1) unplayed, 2) partially played, 3) played - and then delete them from the iPhone, and 4) deleted and not wanted ever again. Finally, if I want to redownload an individual podcast I've already listened to, I can go to the store library and choose it, (or perhaps one could mark a particular podcast to save "forever").
Is that too much to ask?

Ip address really cannot become corrupt.. let me suggest you go into the setup and change the ip lease renewal time to as short as possible.
You can actually set it to minutes.. so use say 5min.
I would also change the DHCP range as well as that will then force all clients to renew to different IP.. and whatever is on the "corrupt IP" will be left behind.
No factory reset is required..

I downloaded the new firefox but it says it is not compatible with my MAC. Can I just go back to the old version?

I downloaded the 4.0 version of firefox but when it finished and I tried to open it it told me "You cannot use the Application Firefox with this version of Mac OS X" ...okay so I didnt know that- it just told me to download it. So is there a way to get the old version of firefox back? I don't want to continue using safari if I can avoid it.

Hello! So I updated my iphone 4s software a few days ago to the ios 7.0. I really don't like it! The calendar is the worst part of it! I used to love the calendar, notes and clock/timer app on my iphone! Now I hate the new layouts and how they work! Is there any way to go back to the older software on my iphone?

I was in the same situation. Today I went to my wireless carrier's store and upgraded my hardware to iPhone5. It comes with iOS 6.1.4.
I had backed up my 4S before foolishly installing iOS7, so I was able to recover all the apps, most settings, etc., as usual, in iTunes.

Why did you change the ipad to that crappy lightning cord.it does not stay plugged in to ipad to use it on ac power the cords short and overheat damaging the charger units. please change back to the old style.in this case newer is definately not better

I agree. It's much better than the old one.
If your have a problem with something overheating, that's not normal. You should take the charger, cable and iPad to the nearest Apple Store. Is the charger an Apple charger or a third party one? Many of the third party chargers are badly made.

I just got the new IPad and managed to transfer most of my data from the old IPad. I figured out how to download the books through bookstore but I have realized now that I have two accounts. Can I go back to the old acct to get the books on iPad

No, all purchases made with an Apple ID remain with that Apple ID and cannot be accessed using the other Apple ID.
I know this is a pain but that's the way it is. As far as anyone knows individual accounts will always be "active", but they cannot be merged.

Mozilla, like many other software companies, thoroughly test their software before releasing it to the public and I'm sure that no problem you are having is intentional.
I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

So I changed my Apple ID. Now on my Iphone I can't update things from the apps store or download new stuff. I went into settings and changed my ID there, but in the apps store it still shows up as my old ID. The apps store won't let me log on with the new one, as my old still shows up, and if I go back into settings and change it back to the old ID the password I had before no longer works. This ***** Apple. You just ruined my Iphone!!! My phone went from being cool to being junk since I am not unable to download or update apps...the coolest part of my phone. Someone help??? Make sure you enter your new Id in settings/message, settings/facetime. ANy content that you downloaded with the old ID is forever linked to that old ID and if you have apps that were downloaded with the old ID and you want to update them you can only do that with the old ID. You could delete those apps and downlad them again ( and pay for them if they are not free apps)

Restore from the backup you had prior to installing Mavericks.
However, the upgrade should not have altered your partition scheme. Did your erase and format the drive prior to upgrading?

The answer was click View > Show sidebar. Devices and playlists will display in the left sidebar once again.

Thank you for the question. Use these steps to change the Apple ID signed into the iTunes Store:
Sign in with a different Apple ID
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.
Or if you don't have another Apple ID, tap Create New Apple ID.

I've managed to get back to Pages 4.3 and delete the downgrade Pages 5, which makes a total mess of any doc prepared with it, but how to I get back to the old version of Pages on my iPad so that I can work while I am away from home.

At least on my old PC, Word maintained compatability with old versions. Beginning to regret having switched.

What is really irritating is that Apple give a big hurray about what they have added as "new" in Pages 5 (most of it pretty useless) without telling you of the myriad things they have deleted. If they had shown the list your gave the link to, I doubt may regular users would risked going to Mavericks with its auto upgrade. My partner got the message in time and is sticking with the earlier operating systems and Pages on Mac and iPad. Lucky girl.
I have found a way to use my iPad to add chapters written while on the move to reports on my iMac Pages 4.3. If I write it on the new Pages on the iMac (don't seem to be able to revert there), the send the report as an email in WORD format (not Pages) and download it in the Text Editor, then cut and paste into the story on the iMac. Hardly elegant but it works.
