Can we record script in OS for peoplesoft

Can we record script in OS for peoplesoft not for load testing but for functional testing

Peoplesoft works in browsers, so you can use web functional testing for Peoplesoft too

  • Can't find October USPS Directories for PeopleSoft (Address Data Directory)

    Hi,
I need help finding the October USPS Directories for our data correcton software running in Peoplesoft.  I used to get them in the Business Objects ESD webiste, but I only see the August directory.
    Thanks

    Hi John,
The name of the directory downloads has been updated somewhat following the migration of all content to the Service MarketPlace.  You should be able to login to your S-account # on the SMP and see the address directories enabled on your account in the "BusinessObjects packages and products" area under the group: Address Directories, then an entry for BOBJ ADDR DIR US....   Sorry for the confusions!
If for some this doesn't match the product options that are enabled within your S-account number, then the most efficient approach to resolve this is to log an incident with Customer Support, so they can research the specifics for your account with you.
    With regards,
    Sue

  • How can I start scripting in CS5 for Windows?

I have just installed CS5. I tried running a script I had adapted from CS4, and it would not run. Then I discovered there were major changes for CS5, and tried running the sample script FindChangeByList on a short piece of text, but it appeared not to start: the cursor remained flashing as it normally does when in text. Should I try reinstalling or is there a less drastic option?

    Hi Michael,
I think, then, that the problem is one of permissions. What I've done on Windows 7 installations is to go to the InDesign application folder (in program files), select the InDesign.exe file, use the Context menu (right-click) to display the Properties panel, and then turn on the Run This Program as an Administrator option in the Privelege Level section of the Compatibility tab. Click the Change Settings for All Users button to apply the change (assuming that your current user profile is an Administrator).
Let me know if that helps!
    Thanks,
    Ole

  • Open Script Loadtesting for Peoplesoft application

    Hi,
I have recorded a Web/HTTP loadtesting script for peoplesoft using Open Script *9.0.0.0 Service Release 1*.

So the real question is when you playback is the element referenced in the error there on the page sent back by the server. A fail to solve issue is a parsing problem as the script looks for a potentially dynamic value. If that value can not be found then the exception is generated. I generally try to get to the bottom of this type of error by examining the returned page and comparing it to the page seen during the originally recorded. If they are different then I look to the navigation that brought me to the page - perhaps the error is the side effect of a bad navigation, perhaps there is a data dependency, etc .....
So, are the pages the same?

    Please press Enter to exit...

    Hi,
There is no record option with 11gR2.
There is no need to use '-record' flag to record/save the response file. At Summary page of installation, 11gR2 installer provides option to save the response file. We can perfom the silent installation using this saved response file
    Unix:
    ./runInstaller -silent -responseFile <saved_response-file>
    Windows:
    c:\software\11.2.0.1\database\setup.exe -responseFile <saved_response-file>
    For more details, kindly refer

  • PeopleSoft - Backup and Restore scripts for PeopleSoft implementation using MS-SQL 2012?

I am working for a county government as a consultant for PeopleSoft using SQL Server. When they restore a DEV instance from PROD, they have to manually stop the web server, app server and batch server, then they do the restore. Afterward they have to change
all references to PROD in the cloned DEV instance. Everything is done manually and takes a couple of hours.
Can anyone point me to scripts for PeopleSoft restores that automate bringing down/up the web, app and batch servers and all the other tasks so they don't have to be done manually?
Life is hard, but it's harder when you're stupid! John 'Duke' Wayne

This question should be posted on PeopleSoft support forum. That being said, a quick search on the internet will provide helpful links like below: http://www.erpassociates.com/peoplesoft-corner-wiki/peoplesoft-administration/cloning-a-peoplesoft-database.html

  • How can I record multiple signals for a long period of time?

    Hi, everyone
I am new at labView I just recentlyl started using it. Right now I am working on this assignment
that I have to display en record six different signals comming up from a DAQ. so basically What I did
for my IV is placing a whileloop. Inside the while loop I set up the DAQ assistant and then I send that
to a split signal function in order to split the signas that are comming from the DAQ ( so those signals
are EMG1,EMG2, blood flow1, blood flow2, blood pressure, and AM stimulation) after I split the signals
I send each individual signals to a waveforme graph, but my problem is that I need to record those individual
signals for a long period of time every second for about 8 hours. so it will be really helpfull if someone can
    guide me through this. Thanks
    Regards

    Hi,
With your while loop, you'd better use low-level VIs to write your data to a file. Please see attached...I've used text file function but if you need ta save a large amount of data, you may need to use binary file functions instead (nearly the same way to perform this whatever you chose text file or binary file function).
    Best,
    J.

Where can I find the third party app?
I'm really in trouble that I can't record and check my blood  glucose.
Of cause I exported the data from app, but It's not readable for me.
Please reply ASAP and give me other solution.

You find third-party apps in the App Store. What app are you looking for? Due to problems, Apple removed the ability to record that information in Health. You can always go back to whatever you used before three weeks Health was released. Why can you not check and record your blood glucose? I would assume you check it using blood samples and a glucose meter which has nothing to do with your phone. You should be able to record it in any number of apps, from Notes to purpose made third-party apps.

  • How do I set pages up so that I can type a script for a radio play

here we go, that is if I'm not driven mad by the process of trying to work out how to use this help thing.
how do I set pages up so that I can type a script for a radio play ie the character then as an indented bit what they say

Here's a sample, using what should be a familiar script to any radio drama buff, and showing a few of the features you'll want to incorporate into your template.
    Features noted by arrows:
This is the "First line indent" margin stop, in this case, set to produce a 'hanging indent'. This stop sets the starting position of the first line of a Paragraph.
Left margin stop: This stop sets the starting position of all lines in a paragraph except the first.
When setting margins, set this one first, as it will drag the First line indent stop with it when moved. After setting this one (by dragging it to the position on the ruler where you want it to be), drag the rectangle (First line stop) left as far as it will go.
    Right margin stop.
Running Header: This is a combination of text that appears on every page, plus the page number / page count—very useful information when someone drops his script. (Typed here, but a combination of typing and inserting the two number calculators from the Insert menu in the actual template.)
Tab character. Used to move the first line of the dialogue into alignment with the rest of that paragraph. The Left margin stop also acts as a Tab stop.
Paragraph break (made by pressing the return key). After a Paragraph break, the next line of the script will start at the left margin of the page. To break a long monologue into smaller blocks, use a 'soft return', made by pressing Shift-return, as I've done twice here...
...to produce an empty line without creating a 'new paragraph' (or in this case, a new item on the current list.
Those are the basics for producing the body of your script.
    Regards,
    Barry
Sample script is an excerpt from:

  • Where would I start searching for someone to contact regarding this CONSTANT message? "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. "

This is a cut and paste of the repetitive message that shows during every web session I have, repeatedly .
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
    Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/extensions/%7B635abd67-4fe9-1b23-4f01-e679fa7484c1%7D/components/nsYahooFileIO.js:26".
I am going to go nuts if I don't fix this soon, please help!

The most likely cause is a problem with Java on your system - older and/or messed up Java installations seems to cause this issue sometimes.
    To fix:
Step 1: Try installing latest Java version. Check your Firefox/system browser plugins from this page, and install latest version: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Mozilla Plugin Check Page] (also works for most other browsers)
If latest Java (currently "Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U20 - Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_20 for Mozilla browsers") does not fix the problem, you may have more versions installed on your system causing problems for each other. This leads us to -
Step 2: Uninstall those you can from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs. To make sure it is properly cleaned out, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/595817#threadId608043 these excellent tips from noah_sumo] to clean out Java completely, then install latest version again from the [http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Java.com download page].
If you ''still'' get this error, you may have Norton or another security program which can also in some cases cause this issue. That takes us to:
Step 3: Configure security program correctly.
For Norton 360 see [[Configuring Norton 360]].
For Norton Internet Security, see [[Configuring Norton Internet Security]].
For other firewall programs, see [[Firewalls]].
If none of these steps solves the problem, please provide any detail you can think of that may be related and let us know, and we will try to find other solutions to get this solved.
