Can we rename the Apply button to RUN or GO in BI Publisher 11g?

Hi ,
We have a requirement to rename the Apply button to RUN or GO. ( after selecting the parameters , we have to click the Apply button)
Can this be achieved?

if you have data in db then you can create xml with needed structure
and so you can create bip report
do you have errors or .... ?

I can't find the 'mask' button

Hey guys,
I watched the introduction to speedgrade (found here http://tv.adobe.com/watch/no-stupid-questions-with-colin-smith/introduction-to-speedgrade/) and Colin Smith applies a vignette to the video by using a mask, however I can't see the mask button that should be sitting between 'look' and 'stereo 3D'. Does anybody know where I could find it?
If it is of any use, I'm running a 27" iMac, 3.4GHz i7, 32gb RAM with a 120GB SSD on which my Adobe programs run,

Hi Robert:
The Colin´s video is a bit old and they was worked with SG CS6 version.
If you have the new creative cloud version the "Mask" (Vignette option) has changed their position in the UI.
Press "W" in the "Look" tab or click the tiny triangle on the upper right into the "Look" tab and the mask options appear (with the snapshots and notes options)

Can I use the "same" button multiple times for multiple galleries?

OK so I am extremely untrained in CS4 and Actionscript. However I have managed to get along fairly well until I started to dynamically upload images as a gallery. This works great if I have one gallery, but for my site I have 9 galleries!!! I have a back and next button, but I want to be able to use those same buttons for all of the galleries so they look the same. I have split them up and renamed them, but I am clueless on how to script the buttons to work. Please help...and don't laugh at my poor scripting. This is what I have now because I do not know where to put the other button names without getting errors.

I'm still a novice with Flash myself, but I have two comments.
First, at this point, won't your buttons control all galleries at the same time? Which means, if I go to image 5 in one gallery, then move to another gallery, I'll start at image 5, because the actions are all connected.
Second, you can definitely use the same buttons for multiple galleries. It seems to me that as long as you've assigned the buttons an instance name, these actions should already work to control all the galleries (see the note above). I guess I would need to understand a bit more about how your project is built.

Can we remove the Continue button from Quiz Results?

Hi Everyone,
Is there any way to remove the continue button from the Quiz Results page?
I have a captivate file in which there is a Thank you slide at the end after the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - The user is just finishing the quiz and closing the browser tab - which is not showing the completion status inside LMS. The user must need to view the Thank you slide - so that the LMS can respond as "Completed" status.
Now, I want to remove the Continue button on Quizzes result slide so that user doesnot need to go ahead to next slide to complete the course. And i will put the Thank You message here in Quizzes result slide only.
Can I remove the continue button from the Quiz Results page so that it can be the last slide?

Removing the Continue button from the Quiz Results slide is NOT a good idea in my experience. Clicking the Continue button triggers functions in Captivate to terminate the quiz and commit the score to the LMS. If this button is not clicked, Captivate may not be sure the person has decided they're done with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that point. There are often other buttons on the Quiz Results slide to offer the user the option of Retaking or Reviewing the Quiz. Only the Continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz Result slide.
Like yourself, I have also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the Continue button and don't realise they need to do something extra (beyond reaching the Quiz Results slide) in order for their score to be captured. So what I usually do is rename the Continue button to something more meaningful such as: Register Your Score, or Record Quiz Results Now. Having a name like this (and making the button nice and large and bold so that it's not easy to miss) clearly tells people that they need to click this button if they want their score to be retained. It's just a simple change, but it practically eliminated all issues we had with people just closing down their browser when they saw the Quiz Results.

Hi Amit,
In SE38 Open the program with old name. Press the RENAME button. In the Target program field provide the new name of program name. This new name for program should not exist in your system. Click on the Rename button. It will give a pop-up where it ask if you want to rename any includes in that program. I assume you dont have any includes in the program. So press the Rename button again without selecting the "Include" check box. Now it will ask for the Transport request. Provide your Transport request number. The program will be renamed.

To make bold use the CSS OraDataText on fields.
cant we disable add another row button when we press apply button. why because after pressing apply button add another row can add new row and that row also becoming readonly. so how to control that addanother row button after pressing apply button.Yes you can disable the add another row button by using SPEL.

Can I remove the Submit button?

When I first created quizzes, I accepted the defaults, and found you have to click Submit each time you answer a question. You actually need a submit button if you go that route.
I found the "Submit All" option in Quiz Preferences, and selected it. When I tested the quiz, I answered questions and clicked Next to proceed to the next screen. Submit All does exactly what I need it to do - at the end of the quiz it asks me if I want to submit all, and I click yes. Then my score displays. At no time do I need a Submit button in any of the quiz slides.
However, every slide in the quiz now has a "Submit All" button - this option changes the button from "Submit" to "Submit All." When you click it, you get an error telling you the test is incomplete.
I don't need it and it's confusing, so I'd like to remove it. But I can't delete it from the quiz slide or the Master Slide - I can only move it. There is no right click option to get rid of it. The only thing I have found I can do is gray it out by changing its attributes.
Is there some way I can get rid of it?

I don't think you can remove it completely, but a couple of options you could look at are:
- change it to a transparent button, set the opacity to 0% and delete the text. You can then move the invisible button somewhere were users are unlikely to click it.
- Or just drag the button off the slide so it doesn't appear when the project runs.

Hi wMw.
Aborting normally works fine for very small applications or architectures but not for anything after that. Aborting a VI can leave things in states that you don't want to be in or references open. Sometimes you do need to Abort the code though (other programming environments use Abort buttons) so I don't think we can get rid of it entirely.But try to avoid it maximum.

I can't find the Apps button in my ipod touch.
I already downloaded some applications in itunes, hoping to sync it to my ipod touch. However, there is no button for Apps in my ipod touch.
And in the partitions of my ipod touch memory (music, photos, videos), there is no space for Applications.

Oh this is quite easy to solve!
1) First connect iPod to computer
2) Launch iTunes
3) On the left hand side of iTunes, under Library, there is an Apps header?
4) When you click on that, you should see your downloaded apps?
5) A little lower down, you'll see your iPod under Devices, drag apps over your iPod's list (over the music, photos, videos area as you mentioned), you'll that that area is highlighted, release left mouse button to drop them apps!
6) Copying ensues ...
7) Check iPod
8) Back at iTunes, click on your iPod's name, look at the right side, you'll see a summary page right?
9) At the top of that page, one of the menu item is Apps, click on that and you'll see a replica of sorts of your iPod, unchecking apps (or selecting by checking) and then hitting Apply button below, will apply the changes you made onto your iPod.
10) You can also arrange your iPod from there if you like.
That was a lot of steps, but its pretty simple to perform, and the last few wasn't really neccessary, it does look more impressive to write a long list of steps however.

That option has been removed with Mavericks. Syncing for calendars and contacts etc can only be done through iCloud:

Copy both the links one at a time and paste it on the address bar and hit enter.

Rename the CC button

Is there some way to rename the CC button in a Skin?
Also how do I add an Advanced Action to have the Closed Caption open throughout the project?

For your second question: you can use the system variable cpCmndCC and set its value to 1 on entering the first slide. An advanced action is not necessary, since this system variable is available as simple action in the On Enter dropdown list, Action accordion.
If it seems not to be functional, insert a short first blank slide (0,1sec) that will be invisible to the user, but so CP will have the time to react.
To change the skin, you'll have to plunge into Flash. Or you can delete the CC button on the skin, add a custom button for CC that triggers this action:
Expression cpCmndCC = 1 - cpCmndCC

I believe i have firefox 5 and can't find the orange button on the left or menus or toolbars so what can i do

Ed-Meister, you did it again. At first, nothing happened when I hit Alt or when I hit Alt +V. I heard a little bell but no change to menu. Then I remembered reading a post yesterday from someone with a similar problem and a suggestion that they hit Alt + V+M. (When I tried yesterday, nothing happened). I tried it again today and there was the yellow ff icon on upper left. I clicked and there was the menu I'd seen on the getting started video. I made a few clicks and there was the old style toolbar I know and love and I was able to configure the browser to my liking.
In this case, at least, for me, Less Is Not More. Bless you and thanks again,pal.

Just to check, did yiou restart the presentation services after placing the xml file?
Is the template name in answers "SetKPIValue" consistent with the .xml file as you mentioned?
Now, if you could try by putting a hard coded value in the update statement as well.
Also, is the location where the .xml file is kept is,

To make my form more mobile friendly I made the font sizes larger, but the submit button is then really small! Can I make the button larger?
