Can we restore all apps and music from our Purchase Hist in our ITunes acct

How do I restore all apps and music that have been purchased back on to an IPOD touch? The IPOD was locked and we had to reset it and now we have lost all of the apps and music that we had purchased from April 6, 2010 to now.

What has happened is the IPOD Touch account was originally set up on a laptop. That laptop crashed and we had to then set up the account in question on a Desktop. The IPOD was never synced. The IPOD was diabled because my daughter typed in the wrong password numerous times. So my 15 year old reset the IPOD and it wiped out all of the apps and music. Now I do not know how to restore everything.

I recently lost my Macbook Pro to water damage. It was about 3 years old and tuned for comfort. Unfortunately, my most recent backup is at least 3 months old. I purchased a new MacBook Pro and I'm wondering what my options are for migrating my settings, apps and data from the old hard drive to the new MacBook Pro? I have a USB drive bay that I plan to attach to the new MBP to gain access to the old hard drive. Someone suggested Migration Assistant but my research hasn't turned up any information about migrating data from an external drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS! I guess my research wasn't THAT thorough. I booted with the external drive attached and setup immediately gave me the option to setup using Migration Assistant. It was a little slow via USB (2+ hours) but it was nothing compared to the time it would have taken to do it manually. My new 15" MBP looks exactly like my old 13" MBP. AWESOME!!!

Restore to your iCloud backup when given the option when you set up the phone. If it's already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Then go through the setup screens on your phone and given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

Ive had an iPad for a year or so, it's got tons of music on it. I recently got myself an iPhone. I read on here about how to set up a completely separate library using my same account (as my iphone couldn't possibly hold the same amount as my pad I thought it made sense!). Trouble is....as I set up a new library it asked me to name it, which I did. The trouble is now, every time I log in to iTunes it logs into the new library which is completely blank. It has of course not effected my music on my pad (phew!), I cannot find my original iTunes a/c anywhere on my pc. Okay, try launching iTunes while holding down the shift key (again) but this time, click "Choose library". Browse to the location of the old library file. The default locations of the library file are inside the iTunes folder described in the following table:

If your "other" section is bigger than 1GB, there have been problems during the sync process and some data got damaged. Only a restore can reduce the size back to normal again.

the apps will not be deleted if the itunes is authorised for the apple id from which you downloaded the apps.
for the songs if you have downloaded it from a store other than itunes an app "TuneAid" will help you. download the full version then you can copy all the songs on the ipad to ur itunes library

Without knowing all of the information we can only guess .... And my guess would be that you did not have the apps selected to sync from iTunes on your computer. If the apps are in iTunes on you computer, select them to sync and sync again.
Connect the iPad and sync again - if you auto sync. Then after the iPad syncs the first time - leave it connected to the computer and select the iPad from the left sidebar under the devices heading. Click on the Apps Tab in iTunes. Select each app (click on the boxes next to the names), then click on the Apply button in the lower right corner of iTunes. Make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked as well.
If the apps are not in your iTunes library - if you had never transferred the purchases - you will have to download them again via the purchased tab in the App Store on your iPad. Make sure that you use the same ID to redownload the apps that you used to buy them with.

First you need to authorize your MBA with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad. This will transfer/copy all iTunes content on your iPad that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
Photos on your iPad that were transferred from your old computer need to be transferred from your old computer to your MBA.
Before syncing contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal if you aren't syncing this content over the air with an iCloud account, enter one contact in the Address Book and one calendar event in iCal on your MBA. Make these up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provided a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your MBA with iPhoto or the Image Capture application.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

if the music was downloaded via iTunes you will be able to access it from iCloud when you set up the new device. other music that was synced to the iPhone would need to be synced to the new iPhone from the computer that you used to sync the iPhone 4.
photos can be transferred via the following method.
plug iPhone 4 into iTunes on computer. select back up to computer.
Plug in the iPhone 6 and press restore. when setting up the iPhone press restore from iTunes. plug into computer and a complete copy of the iPhone 4 will be put onto the iPhone 6. except for the music...(you will have to download your apps again from App Store but you can find them all under the purchased tab on App Store. you won't have to pay for the apps again)
please note this will delete the current memory on iPhone 6

Hi, my godson has been using an iPhone 3G as an iPod for music and gaming apps. I want to give him my iPhone 4 (not a 4S) and I have iTunes 11 (registered with my appleID) on my Win8 laptop. I've done a Backup of the 3G and then restored to the 4, the settings and photos "transferred" with the Restore operation, but the apps and music didn't "transfer." How do I backup (all apps and music and photos,etc.--everything on the 3G--to the iPhone 4 using iTunes 11. I think I could have done it easily with older versions of iTunes (with the "Explorer" bar on the left side of iTunes), but I can't seem to figure out how to do it with iTunes 11.

It was tele tech. I couldn't open my Page Numbers etc. Frist tech chat idiot - following dumping few things in bin, asked me yo upgrade to Yosemite. But the problem still persists. This morning I was asked to do it via telephone and like yesterday, after wasting 20 min, I was put to this apparent Tech Queen ( my foot!). She eventually decided to reinstall Yosemite asked me to connect my external drive while I connected to her. She was moving cursor asking me to move files and delete and I followed her like a dummy. It took 3/4 hours and she called me 3 times once the lengthy process was completed. I suspected from the beginng for the fact that why should be asking me to click all my backup from the very beginning! Eventually she said I deleted... Or someone else or may be my children ! It was a blatant lie. I run my small business from home and I was simply staying in front of the Mac whole day! Children were at school. Then she said I must have used another computer! I only have laptop and the iPad. I will talk to their manager first thing in the morning. In the mean time please let me know as to how can I transfer photos, music etc back to my laptop from my Iphone and IPad .? I am will connect to laptop as I am worried the new BLANK iPhoto may supersede iphone/iPad stuff? Will it? Please let me know. I am not a very tech savvy person.
