Can we reverse the category axis in Design Studio 1.3 column charts?

Hi All,
In WebI, there is an option to reverse the category axis for charts.
Do we have something similar in Design Studio? I have a requirement to reverse the order in which labels are appearing in the chart.
Please do help.

You can go to Edit > Initial View and change the sort.

I'm curious about why you are using 2 loops. You mentioned one is for monitoring and one is for DAQ....what do you mean by that? What is the overall goal of this piece of code. Also, I noticed that you are not closing the task. Since this is just a subset, I realize you could be closing it in your actual code, but just in case you're not.....it is very important that you close all tasks when you are down acquiring data.

The only way I have found to get the labels to wrap at all is to create the chart in Pages and insert Line Breaks into the Chart Table Label field. I'd be surprised if that Chart began its life in Numbers and I have to idea how to change the justification of the labels. The justification controls are grayed out in Pages when editing the chart data.
Your suggestion of making labels in a table or text box is the only practical solution I can imagine.

The icon for Safari has probably moved to make room for new apps. Scroll the Home screen to look for it.
You cannot reverse the upgrade.

What I did was create a playlist for the podcasts and keep it sorted in reverse date order, which puts the oldest first. To prevent it from automatically playing the next podcast, I actually mark all podcasts as "skip when shuffling", and then play in shuffle mode. I also make sure all my podcasts have a genre of "podcast"; I discovered that if you use media type, the playlist doesn't update correctly on the iPod classic
So, what I've got is a playlist of the form: (play count = 0) and (genre = podcast), sorted in reverse date order.

There is no need to do that, I had the same problem pal! Just do this and all should be fine!
Delete one of the app's and re-install it, then for some reason everythign is restored to as it was!

If the payment is done and accounting documents are created, then you have to use FB08 for reversal(FBRA for reset)
If the invoices are at proposal level, you can delete the proposal(EditProposal-Delete)

Can we update the Category attibute values of a file with out checkout the file?
I have set the version configuration to folder and try to update the category attribute values of a file under that folder,
It is asking to checkout the file before modifying the category attibute values.
Is it required to checkout the file before modifying the category attribute values of that file?
Is there any way to update the category attribute values without checkout the file?
Please help on this

One of the ways i can think of is using Batch Loader script for large number of files. Mention such files in Batch Loader script, and it will update category and all meta-data required in terms of next revision.
In case number of files are less manual checkout and check-in will help.

How can I format the y-axis to display durations?

How can I cause the y-axis of this chart to reflect the values in Row 6 [Average Pace (Minutes per Mile)] of the corresponding table in duration format rather than number format. In other words, I need the y-axis to be a list of durations appearing like the figures in Row 6. Also, I need it to begin with the longest duration (10:00) and to climb to the shortest duration (5:00) at the top. I'll should mention that I already tried using the Inspector, but the "Duration" formatting option for the y-axis was not selectable while other formats were. I also tried formatting the y-axis this way to "Same as source data," and this didn't cause it to display durations either, though I had expected it to. Thanks in advance!

Hi Ryan,
Numbers can display only numeric values on the Y axis, and those values are always arranged from highest to lowest, with highest at the top.
That said, here's what is possible:
There is, of course, some manipulation of the data involved in this, as well as replacement of the value axis labels with custom labels in a text box.
Here's what's happenng with the man behind the curtain:
While the chart shows the data from row 6, it is actually graphing the data from row 7 (or whatever row you choose to place this data in.
Row 7 uses a formula ( =-60*24*STRIPDURATION(B6) ) to first strip the Duration from the data in row 6, returning a number representing the fraction of a 24 hour day equivalent to the duration in row 6.
It multiplies that number by 24*60 to convert it to the number of minutes (and fractions of minutes) in the duration, and changes the sign of the number to - (negative) so that the shorter values will be higher in the chart.
Selecting row 7 and choosing Line Chart from the Charts Button's menu produces, with one difference, the chart shown after setting the min and max values on the Y axis to -10 and -5 respectively, and incrementing the number of steps on the Y axis from 4 to 5).
The difference, of course, is that the Y axis value labels all show negatic=ve numbers, with no m to indicate they show 'minutes.' To correct this, insert a text box and enter the six numbers 5 to 10, with each followed by an m and a return.
Select the Text box, change the alignment to Right aligned (with the alignment button in the format bar), then drag the box in front of the Value axis labels with the 5s aligned.
In the Inspector, choose Text inspector, then Text. Use the Space after Paragraph stepper to increase the setting until the 10 in the box aligns with the 10 in the Value Axis labels box. You may have to tweak the height of the chart slightly to achieve this alignment.
Select the chart, then choose the Chart Inspector, then Axis. Use Choose Axis Options (for the Value Axis) to uncheck Show Value Labels.

But wen i am doing preview,my chart area is moving towards left.
Can we fix the y axis ,I mean the area of chart should not move.Only X axis can be stretched according to the number of months we have in x axis ?

According to your description, you want to have your Y-axis fixed in the bar chart area and the X-axis grows from from left to Right. Is my understanding correct?
In Reporintg Services, when creating a chart, we can set the DynamicWidth of the chart which can make our chart expands dynamically with the numbers of categories. In this scenario, we also need to ennable the CustomPosition of chart, set a specific

Java FX linechart reloading does not load the category axis in sorted order

We are reloading the different data in Java FX line chart for . First time it loads with sorted order and looks good but we try to reload again and again the category axis sorting messed up and does not display in order. I did try even with Number axis but no luck.
Any pointers why the first time able to load but not later....
I am removing the series and recreating the series instance before loading the chart but no luck.

Self Answer: reinstall the BAM, and only check the repository install, don't move the data service and it works.

Design Studio 1.3 - Trellis Charts unusable

I have tried using a Design Studio 1.3 Trellis Chart and when in Design Mode and runtime mode, the trellis is unusable. I am running IE11 and per the DS 1.3 PAM, this looks like it is supposed to be supported. It looks fine in Google Chrome. Am I the only one facing this issue?

i`m facing the same problem with IE11. The problem is in the user agent string of IE11. I don`t know what`s wrong with Trellis Charts, it seems to me that it wrong recognizes agent string, but if you replace version of browser in agent string to MSIE 10.0 (for example) it will work fine.
You can try it in IE11
1. Press F12
2. Go to Emulation
3. Change user agent sting to IE10
and you will see that it works in browser.
To fix it in Design Studio you had to modify windows registry.
0. Press Win+R, type regedit, press enter)
1. Go to this branch of registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent
2. Create or modify string parameter "Version", set value to "MSIE 10.0"
3. Reopen Design Studio
