Can we save satellite images from the Apple ios Maps app?

The Apple Maps app has a more recent image of my property than Google: I'd therefore like to save the satellite image to file. Is this possible?
The only option I can find is the 'Print' command, but this just prints the Standard map without any satellite imagery.
As an alternative, can we view Apple's maps on a standard browser, e.g. Safari ?

You can do a screen capture of the Maps display. Just press the On/Off and Home buttons at the same time (briefly) and you will hear a click. The image can be seen in the photos App.

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

If you right-click an image you can select to "Block Images" from the site, but how do you reverse this choice?

This works well, particularly to make the page printer-friendly, but how do you reverse this choice to see the images again?

You can see all permissions for the current page in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
If it is from a different domain then use this:
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (Site Identification icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Open the Media tab of the "Page Info" window.
*Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Hello. Since I bought my new MacBook Pro I am having issues with the home sharing with Apple TV. I can't access my computer from the Apple Tv, although both home sharing options are on. I can choose Apple Tv as an output from my MAC though.

You cannot get Leopard from Apple any more. You will find copies from third-party vendors on eBay, Amazon, or Google.

I am looking for an app to keep track of my call minutes consumed per contact, so that I can have a summary wise view at regularly intervals (week/month).
Most of the apps that I came across on the AppStore have their own in built Call Dailer and they track calls made from their app itself and not the regular calls made from the stock iOS app.

Hi.
Because Apps are sandboxed on iOS (to prevent viruses and to increase data protection), there is no way an app can have access to this information. You cannot do this on the iPhone. However, you might want to contact your cellular provider/ carrier to see if they have such feature on their app or on their website (which would use your cellular provider server data instead of the internal iPhone info.)

IPhone 4s: Where are the Apple IOS 5 Apps???

I thought I was being smart by doing a backup via iTunes on my Mac Pro as well as on my MBP (MacBook Pro) to be taken to the Apple Store and that was done in a new iTunes library just for the backup/restore. Yet, when I did the restore at the Apple Store with my MBP, the apps were not their. Later, I was on my Mac Pro and did a sync (with the normal iTunes library used for my iPhone 4 syncing) and it restored the missing apps, including the apps that I had deleted from the phone.
So, I was left without the new IOS 5 apps like "Find My Friend", "Cards", "Trailers".... I had to first figure out what was missing and to download it via the App store.... now, I feel like I've put more effort than many would have and I'm concerned about how I've arrived..... Does this migration from IP 4 to IP 4s sound right to you?
BTW: are there any apps that are obsolete and thyat should be deleted??? There is talk about Twitter integration.... do I still need the app in IOS 5?
Is there a benefit of starting over and reinstalling as a new phone--not from a backup...?

Just an update: I got my replacement iPod mini after three weeks and so far it's been working fine. I hope it keeps functioning long after the warranty expires.

How can I back up notes from the Apple "Notes" app to my computer?

I am losing notes when I changed from an iPhone 4s to the iPhone 5, There is no dependable way to back up notes per se as notes on the apple app are incorporated into the mail program and linked to an email address that i never use and to further complicate only backs up using iCloud which I also never use and do not trust.
Is is possible to back up notes in a straightforward manner to my computer? If not, is there a 3rd party app that allows notes and the straightforward backing up of notes? Taking notes is important to my business and I have lost many notes already using the Apple Notes app.

Why do you not use the USB cable or activate Wifi sync process so the notes are transferred into either MS Outlook or Apple Mail on your PC/Mac.
I am using USB cable to sync, I have looked in Apple Mail (I'm on a Mac) and most of my notes are gone, they have never transferred over completely and only about 1/8th of my notes, only those from years ago are there.
Why not use differing software such as Evernote that allows syncing with PC/Mac and has a host of other uses over and above the basic notes app.
This is the way I need to go. The Apple 'notes' app has never functioned depenably and there is no way to back it up dependably, by my experience anyway. I have just purchased an App called 'Note Anytime, which is overly complicated for what I want which is just straightforward note taking capability with straightforward backup that I can use like any other files that need to be backed up, not through a mail pogram that I never use and does not work anyway.
I'll look into Evernote and thank you for that tip.
If your doing other stuff document creation etc you should be using Pages or something like Documents to Go.
I am a publisher by profession and use the full Adobe CC suite including InDesign for publishing. I also use Microsoft Office for the Mac for the times I need to work with Word documents. So, I'm covered in that department. Once I am able to save Notes as text files on my computer, I may have use to import those notes into publishing or word processing software also.
If paranoid or have sensitive data that you don't want sent via a conduit then you shouldn't be using a tablet of any discription as these are by definition Internet devices.
No paranoya here, just looking for a dependable note taking app that doesn't use a convoluted process to make a backup and doesn't 'drop' notes or lose them mysteriously.

How can I move my media from the Apple TV to ITunes?

I have a lot of purchused content that did not download to my itunes on my computer and I do not want to lose it. What can I do?

It sounds like you might have your Apple TV set up for streaming, rather than syncing. On your Apple TV (this is for the old version, but it may be the same on the newer one), you go to the heading all the way on the right to the "Settings" menu. Choose "computers". If you have a "shared" library, you'll want to remove this. Once you have done this, you'll want to sync with iTunes (I believe it is similar to this, do not choose "Add shared iTunes Library", the only other choice). Apple TV will provide you with a code, which you will enter on your computer. At that point, it will automatically start syncing all your stuff off your Apple TV to your computer (make sure you have a lot of room on your HD). It also automatically will sync a certain number of items to play directly from your ATV, rather than your home directory - however, if you sync it so that nothing is on your ATV (and nothing syncs to your ATV) then all of your content will show up in "MY ..." under the item (i.e. TV shows, Movies, Music....) Anything you buy on your ATV will automatically sync with your computer and be removed from the ATV after it is done downloading.
If you don't have room for everything, then you'll have to use do the reverse of the above, and after syncing some of your stuff to your computer, remove the library, and re add it back as a "shared iTunes Library", which will allow you to see those items on your computer when it is on, and itunes is running (this is true regardless).
