Can we setup à iPad-3 without wifi and apple-I'd, it is for a Christmas gift ?

The iPad is my old one with iOS-6.0.1 I want to reset it to basic apple app without entering the apple Id of my nephew because apple send an email to apple Id stating that there I'd had been used to setup a new device... That what happend to me when I setup my iPad-4.

You can try. Nobody here can say what any one Apple Store employee may or may not do for you, it's just that no matter you insist happened, you have no way of proving that the camera was bad or faulty - before you dropped the iPad. Think about it objectively - which is somewhat difficult to do at times like this - but from an outsiders point of view - why would they believe what you are saying since there is absolutely no way that you can prove what you are saying is true?
I'm not suggesting that you don't try. I'm just saying don't be upset if they don't believe your story amd replace it for free.

Yes, that is the Tetheringn or HotSpot option. Some models have this. You will have to set up your phone to do this, and your carrier will likely charge you an extra fee for the tethering service.

Apple tv without wifi and airplay

Hi,
I don't have a wireless network so I hardwired my apple tv.
I can use airplay between my macbook pro and apple tv (after turning ipv6 off).
I would like to use airplay on my ipad 2, so I shared my internet connection to my ipad.
The only problem is that my ipad doesn't recognize the apple tv.
How can I make this work (without buying an airport express)?

I selected share internet in the settings for sharing (don't know if it's the correct name, my system is Dutch).
--> Share connection via ethernet--> with computers using wifi.

You can easily do that by downloading the music before you get to that area of weak Wi-Fi and cellular signal by downloading the music directly from the Music app by tapping the cloud button next to songs. The other option is to sync the music with iTunes over USB to have the songs downloaded to your phone. Take a look at the links below to get your music downloaded to your iPhone.

Thanks SniperKat but I don't know why for some reason the "NONE" disappeared...
I started to create an account and when I saw the credit card thing I just clicked back and back and so I closed the browser... every free app or something free I get it appears a window : " You have to review some of your information about your account" .... but I don't have an account yet because I didn't create it.... the only solution is to create a new e-mail account and go to iTunes store and create a new account with the new e-mail and be very carefull with the "Free app" this time...

Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

IOS 5 used to allow Airplay between iPad (WiFi) and Apple TV (Ethernet) as long as they were on the same network. In iOS 6, now both the iPad and the Apple TV have to be on the same network and both have to be connected using WiFi ? Why did they change ?

iOS 5 used to allow Airplay between iPad (WiFi) and Apple TV (Ethernet) as long as they were on the same network, i.e. connected to the same wired/wireless router. In iOS 6, now both the iPad and the Apple TV have to be on the same network and both have to be connected using WiFi ? Why did they change this ? Means that the iPad and the Apple TV box both have to be in range of the wireless router when this wasn't a restriction before. Apple TV could be anywhere as long as it was connected to the same wireless router via ethernet cable. Seems like an unnecessary thing to restrict.

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem. The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6. (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!

I belive you can, I think my friends Apple TV is connected to their internet via an Ethernet cable, and we use Airplay sometimes using our iPads that are connected to the same network via WiFi. It should work as long as they are both connected to the same network. However, I don't have an Apple TV of my own, so don't take this as a solid answer.

I have 02 and Wifi going on my iPad. I know I can use 02 out and about and I know I can use wifi at home etc.
But when I'm at home how do I make sure I'm using my wifi for data and not my cellular connection???
I've been turning my cellular to 'off' when at home, just in case, but I don't want to have the faff of turning it off and on, so it would be nice to know how the iPad chooses between wifi and 3G when both data access points are active.
Also I've had no wifi troubles at home at all. so far... The acid test will be setting it up at work as they have proxyies for everything, but obviously I don't have proxies at home. I'm not sure if the settings screen can cope with different proxies dependent upon different wifi networks... * grin *

In the status bar I have
a signal strength indicator then 'O2-UK' then the 'fan' No mention of 3G.

With the cellular one you can also access the internet via cellular (with appropriate data plan)
beyond that, and the price, they're the same
