Can we stop the process chain in middle of the process ?

hi experts,
Can we stop the process chain in middle of the process after scheduled.
my process chain is like  start--->load>psa>ods1-->further updates--->ods2. In this case I have already scheduled but i want to stop the process how can i. After rectifying the error I want to restart again.
if it is possible what are the steps we fallow pl give me step by step procedure.
thanks & regards.

stopping the process chain is pretty simple. you just need to kill the jobs associated to them as mentioned by other folks.
for restarting, have a look at this blog.
Restarting Processchains
there he explains how to restart a stopped process chain.

    Hi,
All the above post duly suggest a the methods we usually follow to cancel a collapse request i.e sm37 ---> Cancel without core, but these solution only applies if we are running collapse as a seperate variant in the process chain, in case its running as a part of change run the all above process will lead to the locking of the target.
In that case if you could "lock the target" even before the collapse ran will result in the "Stopping of the collapse on the target automatically" .
As far as figuring out the exat job of the collapse, you can directly get the job details in the "display message' , context menu option of the "Collapse variant" in the chain, clicking on the batch monitor and then clicking on the job to get its detail, then going to the specific "Application server " via SM51 and cacelling the job.
Do check wearther the target is unlocked or not in sm12 if not then choose the object in se03 and select "Unlock".
Hope it will serve yoour purpose

  • How can I stop the install process?

How can I stop the install process? It tells me my disk is damaged and to restart and repair, but when I restart it tries to install again....it's a never ending cycle. I'd rather keep the system I have than continue this mess.

    Hello Serau1s,
It sounds like you are installing Mavericks, and are being prompted to restart and repair your hard drive, but when the computer restarts it goes back to the installation process. The following article should help you get that disk repaired by getting you to the recovery partition, named:
Disk Utility 12.x: Repair a disk
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH5836
Print this help page so you can refer to it later. (You don’t have access to Disk Utility Help when you restart up your computer in the next step.)In the Disk Utility Help window, choose Print from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear).
Choose Apple menu > Restart. Hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys as your computer restarts. When you see a white screen with an Apple logo in the middle, you can release the keys.
Click Disk Utility, and then click Continue.
In the list at the left, select the item you want to repair. (Be sure to select an item that’s indented to the right in the list, not an item at the far left.)
    Click First Aid.
If Disk Utility tells you the disk is about to fail, back it up and replace it. You can’t repair it.
Click Repair Disk.If Disk Utility reports that the disk appears to be OK or has been repaired, you’re done. Otherwise, you may need to do one of the following steps.
If Disk Utility reports “overlapped extent allocation” errors, two or more files occupy the same space on your disk, and at least one of them is likely to be corrupted. Check each file in the list of affected files. If you can replace a file or recreate it, delete it. If it contains information you need, open it and examine its data to make sure it hasn’t been corrupted. (Most of the files in the list have aliases in a DamagedFiles folder at the top level of your disk.)
If Disk Utility can’t repair your disk or it reports “The underlying task reported failure,” try to repair the disk or partition again. If that doesn’t work, back up as much of your data as possible, reformat the disk, reinstall Mac OS X, and then restore your backed-up data.If you continue to have problems with your disk, it may be physically damaged and need to be replaced.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

    while True:
and just indent everything else under it
    Ends when you press ^C.
if you wish to have a way to break out of the loop, say, when you press enter at the VPC number without entering anything, add the following after your vpc input:
    if not vpc:
    break
which will break out of the while loop and end your program.

My first advice is "Back up the device, then have it replaced."  Second item of advice, "Don't forget your passcode."
One of the purposes of the lock button is to recover from certain software failures.  Without the lock button, such a recovery is nearly impossible.  My advice would have served you best when the malfuction first developed, not after you forgot your passcode.

  • In OUT Bound of a Jaxws provider, how can we stop the provider invoking its endpoint and send a response back?

    Hi One & All
While we are working on Delegate(provider) for JAXWS client handler in Weblogic10 , we have some technical issues and need some assistance.
    Problem Description
In OUTBound of a provider, how can we stop the provider invoking its endpoint and send a response back?
    Example:
I have a provider with some handlers configured for both IN and OUT flows. When the Jaxws provider is making a request, the OUTBound Handler gets invoked and in this Handler I would like to stop invoking actual endpoint and send back my own response. That means I should be able to tell the Handler chain to stop further processing of this flow, set a response message into message exchange and invoke the IN flow. How do I do that?
This kind of mediation/interception is possible in standard specifications like JAX-WS, Servlets etc… wondering if Weblogic10 JAXWS provides any sort of this kind.
Also we would like to know who is invoking a provider endpo     int in JAXWS stack in weblogic10? Is it an OUTBound handler at the end of handler chain or some other transport component after the handler chain?
    Thanks in Advance

I completely agree with this....I have used Windows and Skype for many years. I recently installed an older version of Skype to run on Windows 8.1 because the new version is SO AWFUL. As much as I prefer the older version (6.14), the daily number of SPAM CONTACT requests is rediculous and most are just variations of the same spammer. Maybe it is time to look for a replacement for both?

  • Each time I try to download a file document (ie. PDF), foxfire begins to open multiple new tabs, and wont quit. it also never really opens the file , and I can't stop the action unless I log off.

I am unable to download any files without multiple new tabs opening at the top of my screen. I am unable to identify what the tabs are for and can't stop the process without logging off Foxfire completely. FoxFire has also corrupted other files and made them impossible to download (saved files)

Could you check your PDF viewer preference and try changing it to a different viewer to see whether that helps? This article describes how to access that setting: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]].
Unfortunately, the settings file that stores those application handling preferences sometimes contains crossed up settings or settings which Firefox cannot actually implement. In that case, you generally need to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it. The steps for that are in this article: [[Firefox repeatedly opens empty tabs or windows after you click on a link]] -- skip to the section "Reset actions for all content types".

PSE remains active in background after exit. How can I stop the program completely?
Is there any command line option to force PSE to stop completely after exiting the GUI?
Opening the Windows Task Manager and killing the PSE process is not a solution!
(Context: I want to start PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe from another program with an image filename as command line argument. This other program waits in background until PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe has finished and pops up again after that. Since PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe continues to run silently in background, the other program will never come back.)

  • Can I stop the install? Stuck in a reboot cycle

How can I stop the install process? It tells me my disk is damaged and to restart and repair, but when I restart it tries to install again....it's a never ending cycle. I'd rather keep the system I have than continue this mess. Command R, option command, shift at the chime.... None of these things work.

Did you boot from the DVD? Did you do this:
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
    1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
      2. Restart the computer.
      3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
      4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple
          logo appears.
      5. Wait for installer to finish loading.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • Can I stop the continuous saving of Pages document?

Can I stop the continuous saving of Pages (iwork) document? I am currently working on a large Pages document - a school handbook that is topping 500mb due to the photographs. On a Macbook Pro I7 with SSD drive the continuous saving of the document when I do the slightest change is driving me to distraction - I have no idea what it would be like with non-SSD! It takes around 30 seconds each time I move a single photograph. Can I stop this versioning that Pages does?
    Thanks

Your problem is not linked to versioning but to AutoSave.
Autosave try to save every change when we leave the app "unoccupied" for a short time and, if we don't, it force save on a regular basis. It's this feature which is at work in what you describe.
By default, Versions apply once an hour or when you force it pressing cmd + s so it's not it which is at work.
My own tip when I want to edit a large file is to rename it from azerty.pages into azerty.template.
This way, when I start a session upon this doc, I don't work on a document which was already saved once, I work on one which was never saved so, Autosave doesn't apply.
CAUTION: this feature is killed after the first save process.
Happily, there is an answer :
Use my script Save_As (thanks to FastScripts I gave it the shortcut cmd+shift+s) or use it encapsulated in a Service by Peggy.
This script trigger File > Duplicate
    then File > Save…
This way it allow us to keep consecutive files storing the contents of our work in progress but the document upon which we work remains unsaved so free of AutoSave feature.
We retrieve what we were doing under 10.6.8.
To be able to work a more comfortable way, we will have to wait the delivery of the next upgrade which, I guess, will be iCloud aware which require deep changes in the app design so that it will be able to save the documents by small blocks as was explained during the late WWDC seminars.
Now, I will give a less technical advice :
I'm quite sure that on the long run, it would be better to replace your larges picture files by smaller ones fitting the true requirements. Inserting files with a rez greater than 300 dpis in the printed size is counterproductive. As you see, I add my vote to fruhulda's one. She was also perfectly right when she urged you to crop your pictures out of Pages. This one doesn't crop the pictures, it put a mask hiding what you wan't to drop.
It's fine to build quickly a draft of a document but for the final work, it's better to prepare the pictures with a dedicated application.

    Hi All.
In the last few weeks I have had the Environment Manager (for development)
go AWOL in as many weeks.
During a restart - after cleaning up (stop/id) all other Forte processes - I
run into virtual memory limitations - and the restart fails.
A larger virtual memory quota (doubling the pagefile quota actually) did the
    trick.
However the quota is too large to be kept and I have reverted to 400,000
blocks (OpenVMS talk for about 200MB).
The problem appears to be caused by all this attempted rebinding.
"With Forte Release 3, this rebinding process is asynchronous" (see
    TN11537).
Q: Can I disable the attempted rebind so to reduce memory needs on a restart
    after the EnvMgr goes AWOL?
Supplementary Q: If so - How?
    TIA and Seasons Greetings,
    Dirk

    Hi,
We usually do a shutdown on the topmost level using escript. I assume that
will shutdown all installed partitions and the environment. Or did I get it
wrong that we have to shutdown application first that the environment?

    Hi,
Sorry, I don't have that kind of problem. Are you doing your
    shutdown
on the application level from EConsole ? Do you shutdown your
    application
before shutting down the environment ? Do you have the same symptom
    after
having rebuilt your environment repository ?
The best I could say is still to make an export of the environment
    on
your exploitation procedures (every day for instance) and to restart
your environment from this export. I presume that you still have
    referenced
links in your environment repository which are not available. Until
    you
make a clean Environement repository from an edf file you may have
    the
    problem.
    Hope this helps,

How can I stop the little pictures (icons??) and the firefox ball from bouncing all around the middle of the start page, which is my home page (?) It's VERY ANNOYING and DISTRACTING!

If you prefer not to see snippets on the about:home page then you can set the <b>browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl</b> pref to an empty string on the <b>about:config</b> page.
Delete the <b>storage\moz-safe-about+home</b> folder in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to remove snippets stored in IndexedDB and make Firefox use a default set.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
You can reset the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref to the default value to re-enable the snippets.

  • How can i stop the upgrade message appearing everytime i open iphoto?

How can i stop the upgrade message appearing everytime i open iphoto?
It's getting ridiculous that every time i open iphoto that it insists in being upgraded and repaired. Anyone know how i can get rid of this without reinstalling it?
    Thanks

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • HT5132 If I've already moved MobileMe albums to iPhoto, how can I stop the prompt asking me to move them to Aperture?

If I've already moved MobileMe albums to iPhoto, how can I stop the prompt asking me to move them to Aperture?

To William Lloyds recommendation I have to add the following: I tried to implement the suggestion and thus to have the Mobileme-account closed to avoid the lenghty process mentioned, however, I am given to understand that if one choose to have the account closed, ALL of the galleries/albums etc, so far hosted within Mobileme will ALSO be deleted within APERTURE!! And that is not exactly what I want, in as much as I am intending to move everything (Galleries etc) to Smugmug...any suggestions as to eliminate the migration suggeted within Aperture?
