Can we upload data in ASO Cube version 11.1.2

Hi,
I have a requirement where in ASO cube users need the ability to enter their plan data into the ASO application. Do we need to create Transparent Partition for that. I have an ASO and Hyperion Planning cube and in my Planning cube I have more number of dimensions as compare to ASO.
Please advise

If you are using the Excel add-in you do NOT do a lock, just a send. The lock is a BSO concept to put a hold on blocks. ASO has no blocks to lock. From smartview you do a submit and it handles it all for you. The beauty of using ASO is exactly what you mention, results are immediate without a calc.

Are you using ODI to load the data or maxl? If you are using an ODI interface, are you using a load rule also which version of essbase and ODI are you using

Can not find data in virtual cube

Experts,
I can not find data in virtual cube with services function module (copying Z_RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10 from RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10).The standard cube is maintained with data.
Can anybody tell me what could be the reasons the data is coming through Virtua cube.

Hi,
i_basic_infoprov is the name of the provider where the data is selected from. This must be a basic provider that contains data. What I meant was, create a copy of fm RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC,1 maybe as Z_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC1, and enter the name of this fm in the properties of your virtual cube. For that fm it might also be a good idea to enter a default value for i_infoprov. And this should be the name of your virtual cube.

How is the source scenario sourced? If it is populated using load rules, then why don't change it in the rule itself?

Can LSMW upload data other than Master Data, e.g. Want to upload the Vendor Invoice line items with single Debit and multiple Credit line items are there and also more than one GL a/c are involved.

The answer is YES.
There is no issue issue if you have different GL account.
The issue is if you have multiple line item (which are differeing in each entry).
For this, if you want to use LSMW, check for program, but not the recording method option.

FDM is not the best tool for doing something like this as it loads direct to Essbase and doesn't have the same support for loading text and date values that you get when loading this type of data via the Planning layer. Take a look at using the Outline Load Utility, the sage John Goodwin has a detailed description on his blog - More to life than this...: Planning 11.1.2.2.300 Outline Load Utility Enhancements Part 2 - on how to do this from a relational source although the bulk of it holds true if you were loading from a flat file.

Uploading data into 0CRM_CO1 cube

i'm trying to upload data into the above said CRM cube... its a content cube .. but when i'm trying to see what is the datasource in the content i dont see any datasource.
The question is ... do i need to create a generic datasource or there is some other way. Can anyone, let me know the steps too that should be followed to get the data from R/3 to BW into this cube?

Thanks for the reply. I have checked it in the metedata repository, i doesnt show any datasources .. infact it shows all the multiproviders connected to the cube.... Any clue ....(Look at it in metadata repository, u'll know what i'm talking abt).

To display the Attendee name in LSO_PV15, how can a upload data in system

I have a requirement, that is... in the LSO_PV15... generally data will be displayed of the learning solutions attendee data. but my client requirement is... he will give the text file with employee name, emplyee number, pass... the data to be uploaded and it will be displayed in LSO_PV15... how can I upload the data... and which tables will be updated while uploading the data... is there any BAPI or function module to upload the data... kindly help me... actually LSO_PV15 is a report program... but the data to be loaded in to the system and it will be displayed in the LSO_PV15... your suggestion is great help to me... thanks in advance...

GUI_UPLOAD can't upload data in a tab-delimited text file

I was trying to upload data in a tab-delimited textfile.
I could do it for a ASC textfile (by setting FILETYPE = 'ASC'), but I couldn't do it for a tab-delimited textfile (by setting FILETYPE = 'DAT').

1) load data into cube1
2) cube1 > export datasource > it creates the ds with 8cube1
3) rsa1 > source systems > myself sourcesystem > replicate datasources
4) cube2 > rt clk > create update rules
5) map the update rules for the 4 fields and activate
6) rsa1 > infosources > search for 8cube1 > create infopackage and load data.

To a limited extent, the LSM Workbench also supports periodic data transfer. Preconditions are:
u2022     The LSMW object has been created and tested completely.
u2022     The "source application" periodically makes available one or several files on the SAP application server.
u2022     The LSMW object does not access files on the frontend. (Files on the frontend cannot be read in batch mode.)
If all these conditions are met, you can set select button "Periodic" in step "Maintain object attributes". Then, step "Control program for periodic data transfer" is displayed in the overview of work steps. This program carries out the following steps in sequence:
     Read data
     Convert data
     Import data
This program (name: /SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_INTERFACE) can be used according to your requirements.

Crashed and burned computer can't upload data file

I have always kept my working file in a separate folder (thunderbird). My computer burned two weeks ago. I downloaded thunderbird onto my new computer then directed the program to the folder and file. All i got was a the group of files eg. Bk1, bk2 etc not the 15 years of e mails set up by date I normally have below my inbox.
Every time I try to reinstall I have to uninstall the program and start fresh. Any pointers to get back to normal ?

DATA LOAD WORNINGS IN ASO CUBES

Hi Every one,
While loading data into ASO cubes in Essbae we are getting wornings like *"Data load strem contains 1.25797e 08 and [0] #misssing cells ".*My data file have #missing values and o's and sepecial carecters like E .I want To load the complete data with out warnings.Kindly let me know if any one's know the solution .Whether i need to change any settings in rule file or how to ingnore those cells .

The warnings are really informational messages to let you know it loaded and did not load those values. Which is fine as they tend to bloat a cube (The zeros). #missing is not going to load anyway and the E is exponential format of numbers whinch should not be a problem. Excel will display it this way, but you can format it without the E. You don't mention if you are doing this from EAS or MaxL and what version you are on. In Veraion 11, in EAS there are options in the load dialog to turn on or off the loading of zzeros and missing across the top. In MaxL, I don't see the syntax in the Tech reference, but I thought it was there in 9.
