No, the VIs you are referring to in LabVIEW use National Instruments DataSocket technology. This is not the same as Windows Sockets communication that you are referring to from Visual C++. They are not compatible to be used together. We do provide libraries for Visual C++ for DataSocket that come with our Measurment Studio package. Measurement Studio includes classes like CNiDataSocket that can be used to communicate with the LabVIEW DataSocket VIs.

I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 (Mozilla) to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI. Each time, Acrobat replies (in french) : "il n'y a pas de client pour la messagerie par défaut". Thunderbird is indicated as "by default" in the list of programs of Windows.
Even if I type my e-mail address, etc. in the account of Acrobat, it doesn't change. Each time, I have to record a PDF file in a folder and return to Thunderbird to send it as attached. It is a too long process, compared with Windows XP with Acrobat Reader or Acrobat 5, I had before.
Would you please help me to explain the process. My OS is Windows 8.1.

No you cant include html but u can use variables
To add a variable in a text message to provide context for the iBot attachment
1. Click the following option:
If sent as attachment, include this text
2. Type the text into the text box with a session variable, a repository variable, or a presentation variable using the syntax shown in the following table:

I have an unused redemption code for an app that was gifted to me (the code was sent to me by a school administrator). Can I manually add this to Apple Configurator so that I can manage this app on our school iPads? I don't believe it was purchased through VPP, so it's not on a spread sheet that I can import to AC. It's a very expensive communication device app, so I need to be able to move the app between iPads as our students move through the school system. Thanks.

By default, whenever you connect a supervised device to Apple Configurator, any apps which were installed on that device by a user will be deleted.
With Apple Configurator v1.1 or later, you can change this setting in Preferences, under the Apple Configurator menu. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5203
So, if you install the app as a "user" using whatever apple id you would normally use to install a standalone app, you can change the preferences setting in .1.1. You would not use Configurator to install the app but add it manually to the device being used by the student or group of students in question. Given that you only have one code you could not legally place it on multiple devices anyway so there is no point in loading it through Configurator.

10g Can't use component palette in code editor

In 10g, the component palette remains inactive if I have a jsp or java code editor open. If I switch to the visual tab, the palette activates, but deactivates again on switching back to a code editor.

I would like to be able to push apps to users using Profile Manager, however, I cannot seem to find a way to import an Apple Volume Purchasing Program redemption code spreadsheet. Basically, I am looking for a way to deploy apps to the devices without the users having to purchase them using their own Apple ID's. I've done some research, and I have determined that this funcationality seems to be included in Apple Configurator. I am wondering if I can do the same thing in Profile Manager. I would rather not have to change my MDM solution, if at all possible. Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

Is it okay for me to use Sleep(3 months) in code? Any issues this can cause?

I think you'd be much better implementing a SharePoint timer job to do this. In your event receiver, you could update a property bag. The timer job can then read the property bag every 5 minutes (or at what ever interval you need) and take action based on
the date.
If you use sleep, it blocks the current thread from doing anything else, so no, you shouldn't do that! See: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.threading.thread.sleep(v=vs.110).aspx
You could look at Thread timers, but I don't know if that will working within an event receiver (I think a SharePoint timer job is more stable option) http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/swx5easy.aspx

WRiting the JSP is as simple as adding the hostname into a HTML file and calling it JSP. The only tricky bit is setting up a JSP server.
There are millions of examples of JSP pages on the web. This page is a JSP page.
If you find another way of determining which server a JNLP install came from, let me know (no one I know has found another way)

Thanks for helping ... All that configuration is already done. I am able to surf the web from my computer using my iPhone's hotspot.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server. Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ?

Can't use Contacts in Outlook Webmail to send mail

I can access my company's Outlook Webmail from home, using Safari 10.3.1. No log in problems.
However, when I try to send mail to a contact, the name doesn't appear. My Contacts are all listed and I can review and add to them through Safari and my Options are set to check names against Contact list. Yet when I enter a last initial in the To field, only our staff names with that last initial appear. I enter the full last name and get "no entries are found" yet the person IS in my Contacts.
I have to send to multiple people (a press list) and so entering the full e-mail address of all those people is just not an option.

Here is the explanation of how to use the Stylish extension to apply a style rule change to a web page. The other way to apply a custom style rule to a page is a userContent.css file. Since Stylish makes tweaking and previewing easy, I'll describe that method.
(1) Install Stylish and restart Firefox. (If you already have Stylish, skip to step 2.)

One of my favorite Pages features is its ability to send someone a copy of your document in Pages, Word, PDF, or ePub format via email with only a couple clicks in the "Share" button. But this feature only works if Mail, Apple's email client, is set as the default email client for your Mac. Because I use Unibox as my email client, I'm unable to take advantage of the "Send a Copy" feature in Pages. Is there a work around for this or a settings file within the system I can tweak to allow me to use a mail client other than Apple Mail to "Send a Copy" from Pages? Thank you!

No, I haven't heard that. YOu have to do it the old fashion way and attach a document in your mail client before sending the mail.

in a scenario of mine, theres a BPM and in the BPM there is a sync send to a rfc function module,
after the scenario ran, i can see in the PE, workflow, that the scenario is hanging in the synchronous send step for 3 days 15 hours, and has not yet returned the response....
i could identify the problem ...because in the SXNB_ADM runtime parameter, HTTP_TIMEOUT , the current value is 2700000, which comes out to be some 31 days......
may be due to this the step is still waiting,
how can i stop the process,
can i stop the IP using SWWL, will there be any proble,
coz its in PRODUCTION system......

Hi Sudeep,
if you dont have any correlation: just wait for the 31 days, nothing bad can happen. It is important, to correct the reason, so think about, to reduce the timeout and put an exception branch to the send step, which is stopping the process.
If you have a correlation, other messages can share in the hanging process; in that case you should delete the workitem at SWWL.
