Can we write data stright to PTEX2000.
Hi All,
We are working on a Rostering integration project with SAP.
We wanted to Submit external timesheets to HR so thought of using CATS_INSERT02 IDOC.
Well what I could understand the process flow is.
Employee create a timesheet, dat is stored in CATSDB.
When its approved and relased its moves to PTEXDIR, PTEX2000 tables.
when we run CAT6 data from PTEX2000 is transfered to INFOTYPE 2002 in HR.
I just wonder can we write data stright to PTEXT2000 & or PTEXDIR eliminating CATSDB.
Ist here a IDOC available for this purpose..?
Your help in this regard is well appriciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Sai Krishna
Hi,
No, it's not possible with 5.6.2. Excel based templates are supposed to be coming but I don't know when the release date will be.
Thanks

Can I write dates or words on photos? In iPhoto.
Can I write dates or words on photos? In iphoto.
You mean across the fac of the shot? No. You'll need an external editor for that.
In order of price here are some suggestions:
Seashore (free)
The Gimp (free)
Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
Acorn ($50 approx)
Pixelmator ($50 approx)
Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto. -
Hp-mkuri can't find support-type; hp can't write data; I can't print
At work, I use an HP LaserJet 1320 over USB. This was working great - and with no particular fiddling needed to get it to work. However, I've started having some problems. I had some issues last Saturday but I thought it was a blip because it apparently randomly got over them and printed just fine. Today, however, I tried to print a 20 page PDF document using lp <filename> from the command line. The response of the printer was to repeatedly flash an orange warning light. The printer status just showed "Processing..." Three and a half hours later, the light was still going and the status was still "Processing...". Examining running processes, the lp process was running and so was pdftops. That is, hours later, it had still apparently not finished converting PDF to PS.
The log files under cups don't show anything terribly interesting except that page_log contains:

There are no errors reported at this time in the cups error log. The last entry is:
E [04/Apr/2012:15:14:08 +0100] Unable to bind socket for address [v1.::1]:631 - Cannot assign requested address.
There's a good chance that the system didn't have access to any printer at the time (except cups-pdf). I wasn't printing and I don't usually turn the printer on or connect it until I need it.
access_log (I tried fiddling a little, turning the thing off, reinstalling the toner, blessing the paper...):

The last type of message fills a good many more lines. Some of the non-finding-device errors earlier are from me connecting and disconnecting the printer etc. I think. i.e. they are not why it isn't working.

I'm a bit confused by this. I don't usually use hp-systray (that I know of). That's the great thing about this printer - I just configured it all through the cups web interface with no need to use hp's printer setup tools or to install any plugin - it didn't need one. But hp/hplip_ac.log says:

Could anyone advise me? I tried searching the forums but although I can find posts on issues similar to other printing problems I've had, I can't find any which look quite like this.I've figured out that this is happening only with certain pdf documents but I'm not sure why. (None contain pictures or diagrams or anything like that.)
Printing a different pdf today, the behaviour is still very strange, though. Basically, I printed a 120 page pdf. Initially, it printed a bit. As far as the computer was concerned, the job was successfully completed. The printer flashed its lights. I pressed a button and it completed the first 56 pages. I then sent 57-120 to the printer. Again, it printed 57-something and then, again, nothing. Job done as far as the computer was concerned. Flashing lights on the printer. In the end, it took 4 or 5 jobs to finish the document.
What's odd about this is that I usually have no problems at all with this printer and this isn't the first time I've sent it a large document.
It is almost as though the computer sends stuff too fast or something for the printer or sends more than the printer can cope with at once. So when it has finished that bit, it waits for the next bit but the computer thinks it has sent the lot and no more is sent. I don't know if that is possible but that's what it "looks" like! -
Can't write data error in nokia 500
Though i dont use memory card,my phone is now showing ''cant write data please retry or stop or data will be lost''and phone hangs after that.
The problem had first occured in my memory card then i removed memory card and it was ok but now it is again showing me while i dont have memory card only phone memory
i tried rest but nothing helped.
What to do ?Hi, yusi. When do you usually receive this error message? Have you tried to format your memory card and then insert it back to your phone? It is possible that there may be some corrupted files on your memory card which could affect the phone's performance.

Can we write data to different sheets in the same excel output file ?
Hi,
I am using XML publisher and generating output in the excel sheet format.
Is it possible to write the data to different sheets on the same excel file using XMLP?
Please let me know how to do this.
Thanks in advance,
Raj.Hi,
No, it's not possible with 5.6.2. Excel based templates are supposed to be coming but I don't know when the release date will be.

Can I write data into DSO directly ( by editing it)
Hi Gurus,
Here I have an issue where I was asked to create an object in BI7 where I can enter data directly into that object regularly i.e day to day basis. Is it possible if yes please give me the navigations and links if available to fix my issue.
Best Regards
Mohan KumarHi Mohan,
Writing data directly into DSO means, we had a scenario where in the user will be entering the data at the transaction sceen and the same moment it need to get into the DSO. For that we have used the transactional ODS which can be used to writing purpose. But one thing with that isit can have only the active data table.

Can I Write Data to a *.xlxsx File Without Screwing Up the Excel File Formatting?
I'd like to programatically add LabVIEW-generated data to a nicely-formatted *.xlsx file, one with all the right borders and column widths, etc. But every time I try to add the LabVIEW data, the xlsx file formatting gets all screwed up and the file gets corrupted. Is there a way around this?
Thanks!

Solved!
Go to Solution.FB,
I was able to find the following link on the NI website. I think it addresses the issue you are describing using the Excel ActiveX interface.

Can I write a data to intrument through Lookout OPC driver sever?
I can read data from intruments through Lookout OPC driver sever, how can I write data to instruments? Can I still use the dataSocket to find the address and send the data through Lookout OPC driver sever? Thanks!
The write should work just like the read. The OPC server will let you write as well as read.

How do I erase a CD read/write disc on my macbook so I can add new data

How do I erase a CD read/write disc on my macbook so I can add new data. If a disc is a RW, I shouldn't i be able to write to it after it already has some data on it?
I get a screen note saying I can't add anything because something is already on the disc... but it's only one little 3 meg file. But apple i info. shows no room on the cd.
How can I erase the cd and reuse it? I find no erase command and when I try to drag the file to the trash, i get another note saying i don't have permission... even tho I've check off the permission box.

dileep.vi 93 KBThe easiest way to perform a certain action (such as file I/O) based on a certain condition (such as whether a value has passed a certain threshold) is to use a comparison VI in combination with a case structure. Then you can specify that if your rms, standard deviation and variance are above a threshold then perform a certain action.
Also consider using shift registers to keep track of data from the last loop. If I understand you correctly, you want to start logging data when an upper threshold has been passed. Then you want to continue logging data until a lower threshold is passed. I have attached a non-functional but explanatory VI that will help explain how to implement logic to that effect. It also demonstrates that you can indeed write and read from the same file in a loop. The best way to do this is to open the file before the loop, do all the necessary writing and reading in the loop, and then close the file after the loop.
Hope this helps!

How can i write max and min data online during acquisition
Hello,
I am not keen with programming and your help will be greatly appreciated.
I make temperature acquisition from an IR camera and I record online 38 different spots at a frequency of 10 samples/min.
I also record two temperatures from thermocouples at the same sampling rate.
I would like to make the acquisition during 5 sec every 20 sec and extract the max and min temperature from the thermocouples and write these values in a text file like show below :
Temp_max 5 sec 22.1
Temp_min 5 sec 2.1
Temp_max 10 sec 42.1
Temp_min 10 sec 4.1
Temp_max 15 sec 82.1
Temp_min 15 sec 6.1
I also would like to make the same with two or three different spots of the IR camera. I think that if I have a good solution for the thermocouple, I can make it for the camera.
I use LabView 8.2 with NIDaqmx acquisition.
Thank you in advanceHello Evrem,
Thank you for your advice. In fact, I have already attended to the training course you mentioned. I should think about going to the module Basic II. I do not have problem to connect/pilot various type of instruments but I am not very efficient with loop and arrays !
I am fine with the data acquisition and the timing and I can sort data during 5 sec with "Array max & min". Then, I can display all data. What I have problem to do is to extract the max & min from the array, keep these 2 values for being writtten in a file at the end of my loop and start again during the next 5-sec cycle. At present, I only have the last max & min results from the last acquisition !
Any example of how recording max & min online during 5-sec cycle acquisition will be welcome.
Best regards,

Can I programmaly write data to Data Source Filter in view External List?
Hi, everybody. I need a help with external list. View in external list has parameter named "Data Source Filter" for write filter data for BCS query to DB. I wanna programmaly write data to this parameter but I haven't any ideas about class, property
or method what can write data to it. Any idea?
Aleksandr ShramkoHi Alexksandr Shramko,
To set the filter value for a SharePoint common list, SPView.SetViewXml property is used to set the filter value. Following thread contains sample to help get a better understanding about how to use it:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/0ddca0f6-2b17-4f4a-9d66-f3d684ed4a11/how-to-set-orderedview-of-the-list-view-programmatically?forum=sharepointdevelopmentprevious
However, I haven’t make it work for external list. In this situation, I would suggest you to custom control to display the list item instead of customizing the existing list view filter. You can choose to use gridview or other table to show the data.
A sample here:

How can i write the data to PIC16F819 using labview?
how can i write the data to PIC16F819 using labview?
Need help!
im using labview in gathering the datas that i need to right to the PIC, then after getting all the datas i am using another program which is ICD2 in order to write it to the PIC. Is it possible to do this task through LV? coz we are spending a lot of time transferring the data from LV to ICD2 manually and its prone to mistake as well.
any suggestion?
thanks,
PedzLabVIEW does not currently have a built-in method to communicate with
i2c, but there are other vendors that sell devices to communicate in
this manner with LabVIEW development kits. One that I know of is
from MCC... here is a link: http://www.mcc-us.com
They sell a device called iPort, and then you can buy LabVIEW VIs to go with it. I hope this is helpful to you!
