Can WebCenter Spaces be integrated to use MS sharepoint?

Hi,
Can WebCenter Spaces be integrated to use MS sharepoint?
Regards
Mustaque

Or if you have Oracle SES (Secure Enterprise Search), you can install the Sharepoint crawler, then integrate SES into the Spaces Searchbar.
For a "Poor man's" integration, you can also embed your main Sparepoint site directly into a tab in Spaces.

  • Webcenter Spaces/Portal integration with UCM and use of FrameworkFolders

    Hi All,
    We are looking at the possibility of using Desktop Integration Suite organisation wide.. We are also in the process of an organisation wide roll out of Webcenter spaces.
    The preference is to use FrameworkFolders because its replacing the folders_g component and address the limitations posed by folders_g (for example can have a max of only 1000 content within a folder, time to load the pages when a folder has large no of content items).
    Since only folders_g can be used for integrating with Webcenter Spaces/Portal we are not sure of what our strategy should be. Is there plan to use framework folders with Webenter in the future?
    Thanks,

If you need a quick implementation (following few next months) I'm afraid you will have to go with folder_g

  • WebCenter - Spaces UCM Integration

    Recently I installed WebCenter Suite . I updated Spaces Services Configuration through FMC. Connection Test went successfull. I can browse UCM thorugh Spaces but I cannot upload any folder. Spaces server logs shows exception that the users lack permission. However content server and spaces server are part of same domain. I have configured external LDAP store. I can login with external LDAP userid to spaces as well as UCM
    I have provided sysadmin as user while configuring Conent Service in FMC.
    Any help ?

    Hi ,
    If you are trying to upload contents using LDAP user , then check to see if the right permissions (Roles in UCM parlance) are assigned to that user . Go to UCM - <user name > - Roles and see if the correct roles are seen or not .
    If it is just guest , then that indicates user not being provisioned correctly .
    Thanks

  • Can you refine people search results using a SharePoint 2013 search service application connected in SharePoint 2010?

    We have an SP2010 farm which is now using some of the service applications from an SP2013 farm, including the search, managed metadata and user profile.  This is part of an upgrade programme of work which will involve upgrading infrastructure and
    then gradually the sites, and this is seen as one way to minimise the impact.
    So, the SP2010 search results are being generated by the SP2013 which is indexing the SP2010 content.  The initial results appear fine, however, the refiners in the people results for Job Title and Department are no longer working.  We are receiving
    a 404 page not found, even though the page is there as was working before.
    If we compare the URL generated in SP2010 for refining results to an OOTB SP2013 search centre site, there is clearly a big difference to the format.  Example below is where LastName is Smith and then refined where Department is HR.
    SP2010 URL which now gives a 404 error:
    http://intranet2010/search/pages/peopleresults.aspx?k=LastName%3Asmith&r=%22owstaxIdSPShDepartment%22%3D%23832e3479%2Dd168%2D4620%2Dac69%2D9b00a4c4205b%3A%22HR%22
    OOTB SP2013 URL:
    http://intranet2013/search/pages/peopleresults.aspx?k%3Asmith#Default=%7B%22k%22%3A%22smith%22%2C%22r%22%3A%5B%7B%22n%22%3A%22Department%22%2C%22t%22%3A%5B%22%5C%22%C7%82%C7%824335%5C%22%22%5D%2C%22o%22%3A%22and%22%2C%22m%22%3Anull%2C%22k%22%3Afalse%7D%5D%7D
    I've looked at the URL decoded versions so can see how the query is built up.
    Any ideas?  Is this even possible?
    Matt

    All working now.  Turns out there was an entry in the web.config which was causing issues.
      <denyQueryStringSequences>
          <add sequence="ID" />
      </denyQueryStringSequences>
    Seems IIS is denying something in the query string.  We removed the whole section as was not needed.
    http://www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/security/requestfiltering/denyquerystringsequences
    Thanks to a colleague who spotted this; I would've never of thought to check the web.config for something like this.

  • Using WebCenter Spaces Web Service API through JDeveloper's Data Control

    Hi,
    I'm trying to access WebCenter Spaces Web Service API (located at http://host:port/webcenter/SpacesWebService)
    using JDeveloper's Web Center Data Control.
    I created a data control in my portal project using JDeveloper's Web Service Data Control wizard.
    I also created and configured key stores (jps-config.xml) at both sides (spaces server and my portal client).
    How I created a data control:
    * First I entered the name and the URL (http://host:port/webcenter/SpacesWebService?WSDL)
    * Then I entered HTTP basic authentication details (user name and password)
    * After that I drag-and-drop the getGroupSpaces() method from the data control to a .jspx page as a ADF read-only table.
    * Then ran my portal project and navigated to this .jspx page and it worked. List of group spaces appeared well on that page.
    The problem is that I got only public group spaces and group spaces created by the user I entered on HTTP basic authentication details.
    I makes no sense to enter some static user details in a web service client (or a data control).
    So the question is; can I use identity propagation to get only group spaces created by the same user which I logged in my portal?

    Hi,
    You generally get NameError when you are executing the createCred/updateCred from a incorrect location. Are you using the wlst from oracle_common\common\bin?
    Also, In your steps I don't see what you did to populate the walllet at JDeveloper end after your updateCred failed. This is a required step. Use the wlst from the location emntioned above and you should be able to proceed.
    Thanks,

  • How can I incorporate new backing beans into a Webcenter Spaces Server?

    I am using the WebCenterSpaces application in Customization Developer Role to make changes to some taskflows for a customer. In order to implement a desired change in the Nav Model for the customer, I had to write 3 very small backing beans. They compiled fine, the taskflow let me add them as managed beans. It even new about these backing beans, presumably because I compiled them. I made changes to the .jsff file to use them and that worked fine. However the metadata.mar created when I deploy the application does not have these new classes, so they will not get put into the WC_Spaces server when I use WLST to import the metadata. Can anybody tell me how to get new backing beans into WebCenter Spaces?
    I cant be the only one who has had to do this.
    Thanks.

    I don't know if you can import as part of the metadata import but an alternative will be to create a shared library out of your java classes and referencing the shared lib in spaces.

  • Webcenter Spaces integration with Lotus Calendar, Sametime, Quickr

    Hello all,
    I'm working on a project which involves building an intranet Portal and the customer has Lotus 8.5 which wants to integrate in the Webcenter Spaces 11g "portal". More precisely they want to have in their portal the lotus calendar portlet, lotus mail portlet,lotus notes portlet, lotus sametime portlet ..etc. I found an old documentation and sample of this kind of portlets developed by Oracle but they don't work because of some errors when they try to retrieve the Lotus configuration. The documentation is this one : http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/point/lotusnotes/installation.html
    I tried to find the authors of this documentation, or perhaps who developed the portlets and ask them if they can adapt the portlets for an integration between Webcenter Suite and Lotus Notes 8.5. If somebody knows about this topic or can help me with fixing the problem I have with the portlets please let me know - my e-mail is [email protected]
    Thank you very much, your help is very much appreciated !

    Hello,
    First of all let me thank you Brad, for taking the time to answer, it's very nice of you. After I read you post I spent a couple of hours searching for the installer of the recommended "WebLogic Portlets for Groupware Integration". After searching everywhere I could possible search : OTN, E-Delivery, Metalink, ias.us.oracle.com I could not find the installer of this portlets. In the Installation Guide it says : " 2. Download the software from the Oracle Software Downloads site. " - there is nothing related to Portlets for Groupware on OTN.
    Now, I'm ashame but I have to give up, I guess perhaps this portlets for groupware integration are bundeled into some kit with a different name, I don't know, believe me I tried to find them, I searched the documentation but with no luck.
    I would be very thankful if you can point me to the installer of this portlets. Thank you very much again !

    Hi,
    you can use CTAS method or you can export & import the tables..
    create table b.table1 as select * from a.table1;
    create table c.table1 as select * from a.table1;
    you can export import whole schema or schema objects also
    expdp system/***** dumpfile=tables.dmp logfile=tab.log directory=data_pump_dir schemas=a
    and then
    impdp system/**** dumpfile=tables.dmp logfile=imp.log directory=data_pump_dir remap_schemas=(a:b)
    or you can individually import the tables also..

  • How to use resource of in Webcenter Space into one of its Child Spaces

    I have a requirement for using the Spaces resources(Navigation Model,Skin ) that are created at the Sub Space level to be used in the Child Sub Spaces.
    For eg.,
    Consider the example where i have a sub Space "A". This space has the Resources like navigation N1, Skin S1 and Page template P1 created at the scope of the Space. Also this Space has 3 Sub Spaces, A1,A2,A3.
    My requirement is to use the Navigation model "N1" ,Skin "S1" and Page template "P1" of the Parent Space "A" at the Sub Space level with the Spaces "A1","A2","A3"
    Regards,
    Hardik

    For some resources this is possible like the navigation model. When you edit a navigation model, you can add the navigation model of a different space to the current navigation model. Just select navigation model reference when editing a navigation model and you should be able to select whatever space you want.
    Resources like resource catalog, page templates and skins can not be selected from the parent.
    There is, however a workaround for this and that is creating your resource at the highest level possible in spaces. This is done in the resource section in the administration section of webcenter spaces. Not the admin of a specific space, the admiinistration section of the environment. From there you shoiuld be able to create navigation models, skins, resource catalogs and so on that can be used in every space.

    ## If, for any reason, the manifestImpl.properties file is deleted, the file is recreated the next time
    ## that you run Run Ant Target>clean-stage, and the implementation version resets using the
    ## restart.implementation.version.suffix only (as if for the first time). For example, 11.1.1.2.1,
    ## if the restart.implementation.version.suffix=1
    ####restart.implementation.version.suffix=2
    ####restart.implementation.version.suffix.ear=2
    ###This change is probably not really necessary.
    restart.implementation.version.suffix=11.1.1.5
    restart.implementation.version.suffix.ear=11.1.1.5

  • Domino Lotus Mail Integration With Webcenter Spaces

    Hello,
    I am looking for solution for Domino Lotus Mail Integration with Webcenter Spaces, can you please let me know any one having any technical idea how to integrate with webcenter spaces.
    Please provide the solution.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    For registering a mail server to WebCenter Spaces, see this link: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_mail.htm#WCADM238
    If you want to do more advanced stuff like synchronizing calendar events in Spaces with events registered at Domino Server, I'm not sure whether it is possible out-of-the-box. There is an API for synchronization with MS Exchange (based on web services), so provided that Domino Server has a similar interface you could try the same approach.
    If you want to run WebCenter apps/portlets in Lotus front-end environment, I'm almost sure it is impossible.

    Hi All,
    I want to know has anyone successfully integrate Microsoft OCS 2007 with WebCenter Spaces 11G PS4? If yes, pls share detail. Thank you.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same issue, not sure about what url to use. And also the login webservice doesn't work while I am testing using http://localhost:81/RTC/RTCService.asmx. It always throwing the following error
    " Unable to cast COM object of type 'RTCLib.RTCClientClass' to interface type 'RTCLib.IRTCClient'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{07829E45-9A34-408E-A011-BDDF13487CD1}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE))."
    Is the current owc_lcs.zip support MS Office Communication Server 2007?
    Please share the configuration step if anyone already integrated OCS 2007.
    Thanks,
