Can Xcelsius dashboard open in Lotus Notes?

Does anyone has experience using Xcelsius dashboard in Lotus Notes?

For anyone reading this a couple of years on, you would still be best keeping the flash file outside of the Lotus Notes client. However, you could get it to run quite nicely within an XPages application. XPage applications run in the browser but can be taken offline in the same way as legacy Notes applications.

Open a Lotus Notes Document as a SPRO HomePage URL resource in Portal

Hello,
I have specified the link to a Lotus Notes document as a URL to Resource while defining a Service in the SPRO HomePage Framework. This service is called when the corresponding link is clicked from the area group page for ESS.
When I click on the corresponding link in the Area Page, the link is unable to open the certain content due to a security error being thrown. However, the left navigatiopn opens and when we click on the relevant link from the left navigation, the corresponding content is opened as required.
Is there any configuration which needs to be taken care of, to bypass the initial security error? I would really appreciate any available pointer on this scenario.

After more testing and some pointers from Brian Hayes, I have it working. If the Tidal client is running via Citrix it won't work. The Tidal client has to be installed locally on the same machine as Lotus Notes because the document will open in Lotus Notes, not as a web page.

Embedding Xcelsius Dashboard using calculated fields (not static field)

Hi,
I can succesfully embed the Xcelsius dashboard toi Crystal and maintain the correct assignments in the data consumer and Flash Binding Expert. When the data changes in Crystal Reports, the chart is also changed however I am having problems when I want to use a value slider to manipulate data...When I base the chart data on a column of values that is generated using a formula for example. Sales * Percentage Increase. I can not get this to work.
When I run the report, I only see the static data which was used when the Xcelsius dashboard was generated.
Using the flash binding expert I assign the data values to existing fields in the report, but I am wanting to assign the data values to this calculated range which is only in the Xcelsius spreadsheet, please help me in how I can do this.

Hi this is solved, i just needed to link the field to the original field, not the formula. Xcelsius makes the connections in the background

Error message "My recipes" document can't be opened because is not a valid pages document. Help please

Hi guys...
I just bough a new Mac book pro and I copied my documents from the old one (2007 model) , the operation was easy and apparently flawless, but now that I'm trying to open my pages documents I get the message that I posted in the title, you can see it in the following image (But is in spanish)
Any help will be very appreciated, I installed iWorks from the original CD and apparently everything went smooth but Pages is not working at all. I deleted it, and installed back but nothing changed.

Thanks for your quick reply, here are my answers to your questions.
My version is Pages '08 Version 3.0 and I used the same disks for both computers (the old one got all info deleted, so there is no chance of having more computers running iWork than the allowed by the license) so there is no chance of having different versions installed.
And yes, the documents have a .pages extension.
To transfer the file, that was via USB cable, but anyway, I had most of my documents on an external hard drive. I tried already to open both, the one tha originally was transfered to my computer, and since that didn't work out, I tried with the back-up and the result was the same.
Any ideas?

Any SW app in Lion: How can I just open 1 file, & not the last 3?

Scenario (This happens in many software apps, and it has only started happening since I upgraded to Lion):
I'm in a Finder window.
I double-click a document to open it--it can be .txt, .doc, .pdf, .xls, or .ppt, to name a few.
And whatever application opens, it not only opens the file I want opened, but the last 3 or 5 of the same type of document that I opened previously, and I have to wait until they all load, and then close out of doc 5, 4, 3, and 2, so I can get back to viewing or editing document 1.
How do I turn this off? It's got to be some system setting (and not on the individual application level because the behavior is consistent regardless of the app I'm in), but I can't find where to do it from.
Let me know if you need more info, but any help is appreciated. I keep editing the wrong documents, and they are my resumes I'm sending off for a job hunt!

Thanks for the help and amusement, baltwo. I usually like Apple's way of thinking when it comes to user experience improvements, but this one smells like it's from the Microsoft playbook.
As an end user I'm always wary of making command-line changes, but the second URL you provided led me to the UI-based solution I was looking for:
...disable the Resume and App Restore feature completely in Mac OS X 10.7:
Launch System Preferences and click on the “General” icon
At the bottom of the “Number of recent items” list, uncheck the checkbox next to “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”

I tested this with Word docs and with PDFs in Preview and both passed the test. If applications revert and start ignoring that checkbox, I will try the command-line options some morning with a few cups of coffee in me.

I can no longer access my Lotus Notes office email (webmail). I can get my calendar, but not my mailbox. Both are on a secure https site. Maybe the problem is due to accepting a new version of Firefox? if so, how can I get back to a version that works.

I can use Explorer to get to to the webmail, but Firefox no longer works.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

IDK for Lotus Notes/Domino

A customer has asked us if we can build an IDK for Lotus Notes/Domino in Lotus Script.
We've validated that it's technically possible and now it's time to figure out how to approach the problem from the business side, i.e. do we do it as a consulting project, a closed-source/for-profit product or as an open source product.
I'm leaning toward open source, but first I want to see if anyone out there would benefit from a Lotus Notes/Domino IDK (aside from this one customer of ours).

I quite new with OIM, but not at all... For sure, I need to configure a connector for Lotus Notes / Domino.
The main points in my question are (USING A connector for Lotus Notes / Domino):
- How can I create 1 user account (and related data), on different servers (IT Resources), with different "mail templates", when the data should be the same, and the user mail database, should only be a replica on the the 2nd server
- Maybe, I need to configure 2 distincts IT Resources, and run both (through Provisioning Policies), when I need to provision a user, as described in my scenario (above), right?
- In the 2nd server, I dont want the user to be created with a new mail database (neither new user data, as shortName, IDfile... ).
I want that same data, and a replicated mail DB is generated on the 2nd server (webmail server)
Is it possible, how can I configure this within OIM connector for Lotus Notes / Domino?

Synch to Lotus Notes as Appointment Only

Hi experts!!!
I have the following problem: i create an activity Meeting in my CRM, and i synchronize my CRM calendar.
When i open my Lotus Notes calendar the activity is set as Appointment.
How can i differentiate appointment and meeting???
I am working in CRM 2007 , Lotus Notes 7.0 and my setup is 3038
Any ideas???

I think I answered this before a long while ago so, but here is the general rule for Lotus Notes sync
1) If there are no attendees on the CRM activity then it goes to Notes as an appointment
2) If there are attendees on the CRM activity then it goes to Notes as a meeting document
If case 2 is not working then you need to check the mapping of the attendee parnter function for the transaction type.
You might also want to a more exhaustive search in this forum or the CRM Middleware forum or the Webclient UI forum.

I developed an application for a German customer who is using Lotus Domino too.This application should be accesed through Services button on IP Phone This application queries Domino directory or Notes Personal Address Book via WebServices and displays results on IP phone. Drag and drop not working in Lotus Notes

Since installing 10.8.2 I cannot drag items from my desktop into an email message in Lotus Notes, nor can I drag items from Lotus Notes to my desktop. It worked before updating to 10.8.2 so it has to be something in the new update.

Does anybody have any ideas?
I've updated to the new version of iTunes since I originally posted this,
but the drag and drop feature is still not working. This is making it
impossible for me to update anything on my iPod.

SENDmail issue to Lotus Notes Reciever

Hi All,
The SENDmail function of SAP has been working great in the PROD system. However, there was a problem regarding the Lotus Notes side.
The reciever in the Lotus Notes experienced an error stated as : 'Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured. Invalid pool free chain. Press ENTER to abort application.'
The SENDmail step is forwarded to the Lotus Notes using Auto Forwarding.
I also configured an Extended Notification for workitems. But this excludes the SENDmail step ( textmail ).
Does SAP usea java applet or some sort for this? And what is that applet, if there is?

I'm also sure that this is not an error in the SAP side. However, I am also involved in pointing out the cause of the error in the Lotus Notes side.
It is expected that the Text Mail can be read in the Lotus Notes email client. I also tried to forward the SAPmail (text mail) in MS Outlook and it worked fine. There seems to be a problem in the employee's Lotus Notes mail.
However, the workitem sending in Lotus Notes (with links) works fine. It means, the Lotus Notes and SAP Workflow has been properly connected.
The only error that occured was the error I stated above. I'm sure that this may involve Lotus Notes user settings. I hope those people who know SAP as well as Lotus Notes may help me on this.
P.S. DUET is not used in this config. The SAP - Lotus Notes connection was configured using Extended Notification.

Runbook linked to Lotus Notes document?

Hi all -
Has anyone used a link in the runbook tab to open a Lotus Notes document?
In Internet Explorer, if you copy the Notes identifier into the address bar and hit enter, it will launch Lotus Notes and open the document. If I place the same link in the runbook tab and choose to Load URL, I receive an Internet Explorer error message.
I wonder if anyone has tried this and made it work?
Here is an example identifier:
Notes://servername/85256DEA00522A59/BF25AB0F47BA5DD785256499006B15A4/BF9221E793A33B4D852579EC005CB651
