Can you adjust the volume of the alert sound, iPhone5?

iPhone5.
Can the volume and length be adjusted for alert sounds?  For instance, I would like to set an alert or alarm that rings LOUDER than my phone normally rings.

but you can't lengthen it unfortunately.
Bear in mind, the screen is the largest consumer of power.

  • Can you adjust the pitch of a track in the middle of a song in Logic Express?

    Can you adjust the pitch of a track in the middle of a song in Logic Express? So have the first  40 bars in C minor and the last 16 in D major for example?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    the question is what you want to achieve by doing so. Obviously, transposing is easy. Split the track into two regions. The first region is original pitch, the second is to be transposed. Select the second region. Enter the desired transposition value in the region inspector. Make sure the checkbox "no transpose" is UNchecked in the track inspector.
    HOWEVER: You cannot "transpose" minor key into major key. This is because the intervals of full steps / half steps is different for minor and major. The 3rd and the 6th step is a half step in minor, while it is a full step in major. Therefor you must adjust the MIDI events in the piano roll editor to change minor to major and vice versa.

  • Can you adjust the tint on the built-in isight camera on an iMac?

    Can you adjust the tint on the built-in isight camera on an iMac? It is curently too red on my iMac.

    The iSight has no mechanical parts. The iSight will adjust to the light by changing the sensitivity of the sensor's receptors. It is possible to manipulate the picture with software routines and simulate slow shutter speed. For photography look [here|http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview>.

  • Can you adjust the fan speed? How?

    I had an espiode the other day where the MacBook got so hot that it basically shut down. Can the fan be adjusted and how do I get to the area to adjust it? I am fairly new to the world of MacBooks and would appreciate the advice.

    You can easily adjust the fan speed by using smcFanControl:
    http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/23049
    That said, it sounds a bit strange that the MacBook would run so hot. The fan should adjust itself to the CPU warmth. If that is not happening, I'd investigate whether the fan really works.

  • Can you adjust the sensitivity (Skipping through Transients)?

    Protools lets you skip through your waveforms while editing (quick). Logic goes to every little waveform (Transient) to detailed. You know when you go to BeatMapping when you adjust the sensitivity to lets say (50) it goes to the Highest waveform and marks it.
    What I want to do is in the (Arrange Window) >I want to skip through and cut up my waveforms by the Highest Peaks of the wave! (Does that make sense)

    I have 10 drum tracks regions marquee selected and I have the kick track selected and when I shift right arrow all the tracks are analyzed but I want ONLY the kick's transients to be analyzed since there is no noise between the hits. The noise and non gated low level signals are causing the transient detector to make a stop every little step I do not want this, nor do you. How do we use this feature and still make the cuts across all the tracks based on the kick's transients ?

  • Can you adjust the height of the toolbar button in the skin file?

    Can I manually adjust the height of the toolbar navigation buttons in the skin file? It seems no matter how tall I make the nav panel, the buttons adjust size accordingly. Can I tell it to be 50% or something like that? For example, this is what I see for the glossary button.
    <toolbaritem mode="BtnWithIcon Mode" type="built-in-glossary" id="4">
       <name>Glossary</name>
       <text>::??DefaultWebSkinText??::</text>
       <color></color>
       <image></image>
       <icontype>none</icontype>
       <selected>
        <color></color>
        <image></image>
        <icontype>none</icontype>
       </selected>
       <style>100</style>
      </toolbaritem>
    Notice I am not using custom images or anything, just plain text.
    Thanks

    Hi Josh
    You must be someone that dearly loves digging into code.
    The simplest way to adjust the buttons is to use the built in Skin Editor.
    Hmmm, and in writing that response it occurs to me that you haven't exactly advised which of the outputs you are creating. The skin editor I'm referring to is the WebHelp skin editor. To open it, click View > Pods > Project Set-up. Once that pod is open you should see the Skins folder. Expand that and double-click the skin you are using to open and edit it using the skin editor.

  • Can you adjust the settings for Small Caps

    Just curious...
    In every other Adobe program you can control the "ratio" of the small caps function by percentage. (The small cap is 80% of the large cap, etc)
    I'm not seeing where I can adjust this vital setting in Photoshop, any version.
    Help appreciated.

    Smart objects from IND is one workaround. Set type in IND, export as PDF, and place PDF as smart object in PS. You should be able to edit using any PS effects you need. If the type is still editable as PS type, then the smart object equivalent should be editable as well.
    To edit the smart object, go back to IND, tweak the type, re-export PDF, and then replace the smart object contents in PS with the updated PDF. Six clicks and presto! :)
    This seems a three-sides-of-the-square solution. Why you can't edit the PDF in Acrobat is beyond me. Not like I'm using the workflow in production or anything... maybe someone has a better way.
    ed: warp text is a bust. Maybe you're just better off making your own small caps...

  • Can you adjust the bass? Dumb question

    I have a question about the Creative Zen Sleek Photo 20 GB Multimedia Player. I have never had a MP3 player before and I am thinking of purchasing one. This one that I mentioned above seems to be a decent choice and the price is pretty good. I've done some research and this one seems to be top notch, but before I buy it I just need to know one thing. It's probably one of the most stupidest questions you'll ever get asked, but since I've never had an MP3 player before I just don't know. Anyways my question is this for anyone who owns the MP3 named above.
    Is there a way to adjust the bass?
    I love the cd player and being able to adjust the bass is great and I'm pretty sure you cannot do that with all cd players and I'm wondering if MP3 players are the same. Thanks in advance for anyone who is able to answer my question.

    Ok thanks, I figured that you could, I just could not find any info about it and like I said not all cd players allow you to adjust the bass. Anways I ended up going with the Creative Zen Vision:M 30 GB MP3 and Video Player. I figured for a few dollars more it should be worth it and they added features that wasn't with the one that thought about purchasing. I appreicate the help even if it was a silly question to ask.

  • Can you adjust the Timecode for Mulitcam?

    I have two clips shot on two z5u however 1 is using the compact flash recorder. we use the firewire timecode sync.
    this issue isn't related this instance.
    what I am finding is that the tape is always a few frames faster than the compact flash.
    is there a way to adjust the timecodes now? I would just need to reset the numbers to match the frame

    Sorry after looking more closely it looks like the Make multiclip is not syncing the time correctly clip 1 sync time 23:23:06:25 and clip 2 is: 23:33:54:08
    what would be causing this?

  • Can you adjust audio volume at the beginning and end of a clip?

    I want to add portions of songs into my iMovie videos. When I do that they abruptly start and end. Is there no way to adjust add a fade at the beginning and end of an audio clip?

    As said above, you cannot.
    The only work around is to edit audio in an external app.
    So please do suggest to Apple to add this feature in the next update.

    Nope, can't do it there, either. Sorry.
