Can you append a link to a form with a query string to popular a form field?

I'm trying to do this with Form Central but having no luck getting an answer. Is Acrobat Pro the answer?
Thanks for your help
Wayne

Hi Irosenth
That looks a great solution. However, I'm a newbie here and can't see that Adobe Pro gives an option to save a form as a .fdf or .xfdf.
BTW the headline should say POPULATE not popular (whatever that is).
What I would like to do is send an email to every recipient with a link to a form appended with a query string that automatically completes the ID field. At this point I only have Adobe Pro and FormCentral. Should I be looking elsewhere. (I did try to phone Adobe UK yesterday but was on hold for 1hr 4mins before I had to continue with the rest of my life).
Thanks for your help & time.

Can you share some links for SCM & MFG on Fusion ?

I was under the impression that having a journal would be safer, not just for the boot drive. Any volume that is not properly unmounted before removed (or the couputer is turned off) might be left in an incomplete save state, since data might have been saved to buffers only, not to the disk proper.
To me safer would be better. Apple has added journaling to HFS+ which is good, and there are several journaling file systems for Linux. Nothing in common. Not even with Windows. I guess I will have to use HFS+ with the journal turned off, but it seems suboptimal to me.

Can you organize your "links" panel by FILE TYPE ?
Or can you somehow export to somewhere and accomplish this?

    Yes.
Choose Panel Options from the Links panel menu and tick the checkbox next for Format under Show Column:
Then, click the Format column-head button to sort...click again to toggle ascending / descending...

What is the latest version and updates available of Firefox for Mac system 10.3.9? Can you provide a link of this for downloading. I am currently using Firefox 2.0.0.20 but need to upgrade to use Bell.net email.

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last version that works on OS X 10.3.9
You may want to consider using another browser if 2.0.0.20 does not work for your email. You could try using Safari for your email. If that does not work or prefer an alternative, a couple of options are [http://www.icab.de/dl.php iCab 4.8] or [http://www.opera.com/download/?os=mac&ver=9.64&local=y Opera 9.64] (Opera 10 does not work on OS X 10.3.9)

Been at this for hours, can't remember questions, support sends you to the questions you can't answer or I would have the first time, or a promise of a link which doesn't seem to exist!!

You need to contact Apple, either through the link in that article or by phoning them and asking for the Account Security team.

I'm bustin' your chops.  Some call it humor, some don't have a sense for it....
The real point is Kappy gave you a link to a list of video demonstrations of changing the digitizer to show you that what you intend to do can in fact be done.  However, not once but TWICE you questiofed what was freely given to you, and you obviously didn't take the time or make any effort to find out if white framed digitizers are available.
The fact of the matter is, white framed digitizers are available, and rather inexpensively I might add.
My post with the outrageous prices was intended to trigger some of your obviously dormant gray matter into some form of activity that might just resemble intelligent human thought and maybe generate a giggle or two.  Guess I was wrong....  But at least now I know why you have a picture of a box of rocks for your avatar....

  • Can Acrobat be made to verify one form field against another?

Here is an interesting problem, and I'm wondering if Acrobat has the functionality to solve it.
The sales department is holding up application processing time.  They either forget to fill in blocks of information, or they misspell the buyer's name (Billy on page 1 and William on page 4).
Can Acrobat be programmed to verify one form field against another in order to eliminate these errors?
    Thank you.

I had considered this as well.
That solution would work in an ideal situation.  In this situation, however, it would probably not be a final workable solution.  Consider the case above.  This organization needs the full legal name on the application.  However, in the first field our friendly sales department enters Billy (instead of William).  If the "duplicate field" solution was embraced, Billy would automatically be embedded and a denial instantly triggered.
If one form field can be verified against another, then can I assume various formulas could be generated from that?
    If field A then (B and C and D)
If not field E (then no B and no C)
    Is this also correct?

  • Can you just sync playlists across 2 macs with identical libraries

can you just sync playlists across 2 macs with identical libraries. i have done a carbon copy of my home mac itunes library to a work mac.  i'll then switch itunes match on on the home mac, and i am assumign i won't need to redownload everything to my work mac.   my question is though, is it possibnle to use itunes match to just sync playlists as really i dont want to have to upload my contetn to the cloud as its nearly all not goign to be on itunes match in the cloud (obscure stuff).  so if i keep libraries in sync myself, can i jsut use match to sync my playlists?
    cheers

No you can't. Match is an all or nothing service.
However, depending on the size of your library and your upload speeds, you may be surprised at how quickly the match/upload process takes, and by the amount of stuff that does match.
Depending on how big an issue the subscription fee is to you, it may be worth giving it a go. I use match mainly to keep my iTunes libraries in sync and it is the solution that I've been looking for for years.

Can you use the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display straight out of the box, or do you have to charge it up fully before you can use it. I do not want to damage the laptop by misusing the battery.

Attach the charger and start charging the battery to 100%.  The good news is that after you have connected the charger, you may start using the MBP as well.

Just downloaded Mac OS X Lion.
Can you noit print pdf to iphoto anymore with OS X Lion?

From what I am able to determine, the functionality that I enjoyed before upgrading to Lion is no longer available. Previously, one could open a PDF using Preview, select Print and then "Send to iPhoto."  This feature is not there anymore. That is a major disappointment as I used it quite regularly at the non-profit support serviceI volunteer at.
