Can you buy pages on a windows computer?

Microsoft Office is really expensive sompared to pages and I would prefer to buy pages, but I don't have a Mac. Can I buy pages on a Windows PC?

A google search on 'windows word processor' will find several alternatives to MS Word, many of them free. Add a separate search for 'windows office suite' to locate the integrated productivity applications.

I have a customer who uses a very generic naming scheme for their desktops which makes it hard to know which machine is which. The naming scheme basically uses a 3 letter acronym for the departments followed by a set of 4 numbers. So it looks
something like this COM-0103 and when you have a long list of hundreds of machines like that it makes it difficult to know where you need to go and/or who you need to contact when a machine is throwing alerts.
So my question is whether or not there is a way to provide a description for a computer that will have the owner's name or the location of the machine. Obviously renaming all of the computers would solve the issue, but that's out of the question. Also
the customer has access to SCOM through a Read-Only Profile and they are only able to see the Monitoring section through the console.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to better identify machines in SCOM, if their names aren't helpful, would be very useful to me and my team. Thank you in advance!

Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases! It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'!

Reinstalling Mavericks depends on several factors:
if you erased your recovery partition
what OS originally came on your Mac.
I'll assume you don't have a backup available that you made before your mishap, because you didn't mention it.
That's really the take home message here: have a backup!
If you still have your recovery partition:
boot into the recovery partition (command R at restart)
use the recovery partition to reinstall Mavericks. see: OS X: About OS X Recovery
if you do not still have your recovery partition, then it depends on whether your Mac originally came with installer disks or not.
If it originally came with installer disks, you would boot from the installer disks, erase your HD, and then reinstall the OS that is on the installer disks, and then upgrade as necessary until you get to Mavericks.
If your mac did not originally come with installer disks, but you managed to erase your recovery partition, then you can try to boot into internet recovery (option-command-R at restart), and use internet recovery to erase your HD and reinstall the OS that originally came with your computer, and then upgrade to Mavericks if you need to. (the reference refers to ML but it applies just as well to Mavericks).

You can buy any disk with FireWire, Thunderbolt or USB. If you've got a 2010 or early MacBook Pro, buy a FireWire disk, or if you've a newer computer, a Thunderbolt disk. They'll be faster than the USB, but you can buy an USB hard disk

I would recommend syncing your photos from your computer to your iPad by using iTunes:

First, if you want to set it up to work via iCloud, I would check and make sure My Photo Stream is set up correctly on your devices:
To use My Photo Stream you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Apple TV Software Update 5.0 or later

Then, once it is set up, you can upload your photos to My Photo Stream by following these directions:

If you start with a document created with Acrobat Pro, or exported from your word processor as a .pdf, then you should include page numbers in that originating application. After you have exported a .pdf form from FormsCentral, it is no longer editable.

MS has not yet released apps that directly support their doc formats, but you can use Safari on iOS to read many formats, including RTF.
