Can you change format for dates shown in edit bar

Hello,
I am trying Numbers out as a replacement for Excel. But there is one annoyance that I don't like. I have a date column (formatted as a UK date DD/MM/YY).
However when I select the date to edit it the date shown in the formula/edit bar is shown with the month in character form, e.g. 04 Jul 09.
I find this annoying and I want the date shown there as an all digits date like with the value displayed in the cell.
Does anyone know if I can change this? If so how?

It's awful when I must edit a date.
When I reported that, I was responded that it's the normal behavior.
Happily, it doesn't behave this way under 10.6

Are you asking about viewing your Notes on https://www.icloud.com/#notes on a Mac?
In Safari the scrollbar will appear, when you start to scroll the note list with a trackpad or a mouse.
In the Notes.app the scroll bar will always be visible, if you enable the scroll bars in System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bars > Always
In the Notes-app the list can be sorted by title from the "View > Sort by" menu, but on icloud.com I do not know of a similar option.

can anybody tell me, how I can change the format of date & time in pages? I use pages 5.1 and Mavericks 10.9.2

I just upgraged to Maverick and tne new iWorks suite, with Pages 5.2
You have to use the Menu, Insert date and time - which defaults to Full mode. Then double click to change each date and remove the time. The challenge is that I no longer have an option for US date formats in Pages, table
I am stuck with UK format as that is where I am and my system profile is
Hence, I cannot automatically enter a US date format for my US clients.
The table cells now default to the new setting.
This is painful
Any ideas?

You can't. But you can export it to a DV stream, using Quicktime with Expert Settings. In the Options dialog, you can choose the aspect ratio, and how to convert it (crop, black borders, or stretch). Then import the clip back into a widescreen project.

If, however, you want to change the size of the display of the menubar, meaning make the icons and text larger, there is no way to do that directly other than to change the resolution of the screen.
You can change the as-viewed size of that temporarily by using either -
• Mouse zoom - if you have a Magic Mouse (Apple wireless mouse), hold down the Control key and use the scroll up and scroll down finger gestures on the mouse.
• Zoom - go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing and turn on Zoom. You can also use the noted keyboard shortcut to enable/disable this Zoom feature.

i wanted to know the same thing, as wanted to change some of the dates to red, but also because it accidently imported birthdays from address book and all of the birthdays came up in red. so maybe if you want to change one or two dates to red maybe christmas day. you make a contact and set the birthday to 25th December and the date will go red.

I'm pretty new to the Solaris 10 world and I'm attempting to troubleshoot some Xerox print issues. One of our Oracle Users may send a print job through with an HP Initialization String...yes you read that right, and cause the Printing services to Yo-Yo.
I've installed the Xerox Printer Administration Tool 4.30.28 and then installed the most current driver package. Thing is, either the services will still bounce or the job will not print. Understandable because of the HP Initialization String.
However, I tried using the Solaris Print Manager w/ a generic Xerox driver and the Print Services did not bounce. I thought then that I would try using the actual Xerox Workcentre 7655 driver by converting the driver from Xerox and using the PPDMgr tool. Thing is, I could figure out how to really change the path so that the driver would get dropped in the /usr/lib/lp/model/ppd/system/foomatic directory.
Any way to do this?

I am using the "UserDefinedErrorsDir" in LabVIEW 7.1 /7.1.1 Windows and Linux.
But there is a "syntax" problem. Let me explain this:
If you enter
UserDefinedErrorsDir=C:\
into your LabVIEW.ini File, LabVIEW will not search the Files in your C:\ Directory...
LabVIEW search the *-errors.txt Files in the
C:\errors\
Directory!
That mean that you have to create a folder with the name errors in your UserDefinedErrorsDir and after that you only have to copy all your *-errors.txt Files into this folder.

I found you post the same question in other place and got the advice. I agree with Mr. Kees suggestion. The data type is a build-in default setting with Access, we can't change it. We may try the workaround via VBA to test.

By mistake, I entered count date as 30-Sep-2010 instead of 01-Oct-2010 while entering count for a PI document.
Now, Can I change the count date to 01-Oct-2010 ?
The issue here is I am not allowed to post the difference today since the count date belongs to the previous period which is 09 2010.

Hi Shetty,
I am assuming your issues is around posting the PI document and the count date i.e.Posting period is in last month and hence you are stuck.
If your client is ok to perform posting in previous period then try MMRV and allow posting in previous period and complete the Inventory counting posting and adjustment (write off differences and revert back the settings)
Other option would be to used above suggestion post PI doc without difference. Then create new PI document with correct count date.
