Can you clarify inconsistent requirements in 9i documentation?

I've downloaded and installed Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise Edition for Sun SPARC Solaris (64-bit), but can't get it to run on Solaris 7. The Release Notes say that "Operating System--Solaris 8 (5.8) 64-Bit" is required. However, the Quick Installation Procedure says that "Operating System--Solaris 2.6 (5.6), 7 (5.7) or 8 (5.8)" is required.
Which document is right? Do I need Solaris 8 to run it, or can I also run it on Solaris 2.6 and 7?

Are the articles from a free folio? The paywall does not apply to articles in free folios. With v22, the paywall affects only articles in retail folios.

Does it mean that if someone did a purchase of my book you deliver it, before you got paid and it will be registered as sold, and I have to pay the commission for an unpaid book which may be done by many humbugs hundred times .

It might be similiar to the way Amazon does it - if you set the eBook price higher at one store than every other store, that store has the right to lower the price and collect the lower price for it (price matching).
So you sell your book at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Apple.
At Amazon it's $5.
At Barnes and Noble it's $5.
At Apple it's $10.
Apple has the right to lower the price to $5 and collect the commission on $5 and only remit you your commission on the $5.
That's my GUESS. I don't actually know, I just know what's how Amazon does it.

InDesign offers the option "Overprint [Black] swatch at 100%" and also offers Rich Black on RGB and Greyscale devices. Does it have a Rich Black conversion or should i change [Black] to be Rich Black

When you print any color on a monochrome printer it is converted to a shade of gray (and this is why converting color photos to to grayscale can either really improve them when there is strong contrast but garish color combination, or make them nearly flat if the color values are all very similar). If your text is to be printed, making it rich black is likely to make it fuzzy when printed in color due to minor misregistration between the inks. The normal approach is to make black type overprint any background color to avoid trapping and registration problems.
If you set the preference to output all blacks accurately, as I said before, your 100% coverage on the monochrome printer will be reserved for objects that use rich black and your K-only objects will print as a dark gray (as they would appear in a full-color print when compared to a rich black object).

if u add an attribute to master data and that field is not getting populated from source system and you want to get it populated dynamically we can write look up code in routine such as getting data from some other master data table.
1. Can you clarify what this sentence really mean? Any examples?
2. Why is it that in some cases when you modify master data, you dont have to write a routine to populate it with data but in some cases you do?
e.g. in the quote it says, if the attribute is not getting populated, why will it in some cases and others not?
3. Please explain in particular ..to get it populated dynamically we can write look up code in routine..
4. Any hints on writing a look up code? Any example?

I would understand the sentence you stated as related to load of TRANSACTION DATA (not populating the MASTER DATA) -- and aTripple k example (a good one) shows me that s/he treat it similarly.
When you are retreiving a lot of data from the transaction system (R/3) you may really not getting values of some infoobjects. However, if the infoobject is an attribute of another infoobject which value we have in incoming data, we may get the value of the attribute from master data of main (basic) infoobject. For this you either may use the mentioned functional module (must be accessable through SE37 t-code) or write a lookup routine.

I have been doing online banking with this bank for 7 months with no problems. About 2 weeks ago I started having problems with certain things within the account. That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

It may have used the YouTube app that is no longer included in iOS. Try downloading the YouTube app in the App Store and see if it works.

Can you require settlement rule in Production order !

i am FICO. one of our processes is to fabricate complex tools that will be capitalized and depreciated when completed.
while the tools is being fabricated, we would like to settle regularly the production order to a capital order (AUC) and track the budget for the fabrication.
in this production process we want to require the user to enter a capital internal order in the settlement rule of the production order master data.. this way when Prod order is settled we dont have issues. can you make settlement rule entry as required during production order creation?
any input is appreaciated on the issue. Thanks

Hi Francois,
I would suggest you to ask the PP user to create production order without Material using transaction CO07.
Here the user can maintain the settlement parameters in the "maintain settlement rule" screen. The account assignment should be "Order - ORD" and can input the internal order number to Settlement reciever feild.
If you need the final product to be delivered then in the component overview add the material number and the quantity in negative qty. System assumes this as byproduct.
