Can you collect emails on iweb

I am looking to set up on the website a page that people can subscribe their email to. I want to be able to add them to our company data base. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thx

If you are publishing to MobileMe you will have to use a service like Wufoo or similar.....
http://wufoo.com/
You can set up a form in iWeb using the appropriate code in an HTML snippet. What MobileMe users can't do is have the replies directed to the email address of their choice.
If you are using a "real" server that gives you form mail, you can do it all yourself.
Example...
http://www.cosmystic.com/Contact.html
I got my puppy, Buster, to fill out the form and send it. Note that he has his own email account as I don't have time to deal with all his correspondence. Here's what I received in my email account for that website....
Below is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by

    Hi Cassandra,
You can actually print up a receipt by logging in to your account at www.adobe.com. Please see Manage your membership and payments | Creative Cloud
The information that you're looking for is in the Payment & Credit Cards section.

  • Can you retreive emails that have been deleted

Can you retreive emails that have been deleted??

Some phones use a "Trash Folder" system so you can retreive deleted emails within a certain window of time.  I am not sure on the Bionic.
Also you could possibly retreive your mail directly from your email providers server. Example I use charter email, so I would contact charter communications, gmail is Google so you would contact Google, etc.
    Good luck.

  • Can you choose email address for autofill?

    Hi all,
Searched and could not find an answer.
Can you choose which email address you would like to autofill when completing a form (that is when you have more than one email address in your address card)?
    Thank you.

    Hello:
I looked as well and could find nothing specific.  I suspect it picks the first one with no other options, but since I have only one, I cannot say for sure.

  • How can you increase size of iweb photo album?

In iWeb albums there seems to be a maximum of 500 photos or 5 pages.  Can you add more than 500 photos to the same album?  How?

are you using an application server or the local OC4J container?
In both cases the height and width of your applet can be set in the formsweb.cfg file.
you can find this file under <oracle_home>/forms/server directory
search in the file for with and height
you can put a fixed size in pixels or in percentage of your screen resolution
    hope it helps

  • Can you add metatags to iWeb as an html snippet?

I was wondering if there is a possibility to use the html snippet utility in iWeb as a means to incorporate meta tags and, if so, how.
    Thank you for your advice.

No. The "snippet" method loads code into the html "body" tag and your meta tags need to be added to the "head" tag part of the code.
You can add the code after you've "Published" from iWeb with any plain text editor and saving those changes.

  • Can you collect data for mailto:

I have a project for a class due in website development.
Teacher wants us to include a form that transmits data via mail.
I've built all my Flash forms to transmit data via php which,
of course is superior, but I don't trust this particular teacher to
give me credit. His instructions said mail so I want to set it up
    to mail.
so the question is: Can you use mailto: to gather form data
    and populate the e-mail automatically?
    btnSubmit.onRelease = function() {
    message.From = txtName.text;
    message.Email = txtEmail.text;
    message.Phone = txtPhone.text;
    message.Comment = txtMessage.text;
    message.sendAndLoad("
    http://www.angyl.net/webComment.php?ck="+new
    Date().getTime(), messageSent);

mailto wouldn't gather form data, but it can be used in as2
with the getURL() function to send email using the client-side
default email program (if there is one):

  • Can you sync email sent from the iPhone to Mail.app?

When you send an email from iPhone, can you have it sync'd to the Sent folder of your Mail.app on your Mac? I had a look through the iPhone user guide and couldn't find the answer to this quesion.

It seems this is an unfair
    disadvantage for POP users.
    disconnekt,
I think your perception on this issue comes from an unwillingness to accept that POP email was never designed to take advantage of the features you want. It was conceived as a single client/server email retrieval system. It was nothing to do with "fairness". It is what it is.
Your desire to have the ability to receive, manipulate, and send email using different devices (iphone/desktop/laptop) yet have all those changes synchronized regardless of which device is used is a valid one. Many people (including myself) feel that way. However, I doubt Apple will spend significant development resources in finding a POP solution to this because it has already been done.
    It's called IMAP accounts.
In fact, apple has adopted this protocol in it's own email services, .mac My guess is that most development resources will likely be spent along enhancing functionality in their chosen platform, not POP
Unfortunately, that still leaves you in your current situation. If you can accept what POP is (and what it is not), you can take action on a possible solution rather than wait/hope one will be developed for you. I would advise slowly transitioning to an IMAP account as this seems to be more suited to your needs. I had 4 POP accounts exclusively until I got tired of being limited to checking and sending all my mail from home. I didn't want to check or send mail on my laptop, because once I did, those messages would have already been "downloaded/uploaded" and thus unavailable/unseen when I checked mail on my home computer. My mail ended up scattered across 2 devices. (sound familiar?) I dreaded changing email accounts because I felt I would lose important contacts in the process. In reality, it was no more devastating than a home address change when you move (which I'm sure you've done before)
    Here's how I did it:
    1. Get an IMAP account. (.mac is one. There are many)
    2. Most POP accounts allow for auto email forwarding, enable this feature to funneled all your mail to your new IMAP account.
    3. Create a signature announcing your new email address and use this on all outgoing email.
    4. Continue this until you feel comfortable dropping your old POP account. (I have yet to delete mine and it's been almost 2 years.)
Also note, that you could actually keep your old POP account indefinitely. Senders would just notice that all outgoing mail to you is addressed to a different domain then all incoming mail received from you.
Make the change. Based on what you've want you'll be glad you did.

  • How the Heck can you send email to Verizon?!!!

Is it just me, or have others found an easy way to send a tech support email to Verizon about billing or other issues?  I've used Safari and FireFox and every time I try to get to the page where you can send an email, there is nothing there.  It's like some horrible scam.  Is anyone actually getting through to them?
    Please help if you can.
    Thanks,
    Mick

It works fine for me. You might need to check that your browsers are up to date. Also, there might just be compatiability issues with the browsers you use. A quick google search showed that there a lot of complaints posted about sites that don't play well with FireFox. I don't use either browser so perhaps that's why I  haven't had an issue accessing the email portion of the VZW site.
Both browsers are up to date.  I'm an Apple Tech and know what I'm doing, but it's just bizarre that I can never get to the actual email form.  Anybody have a URL?
If all else fails, I guess I'll just have to sit on the phone....  [sigh]
Thanks for any other ideas that might surface here.
    cheers,
    Mick
Ok, in no way were you told or was it implied that you didn't know what you were doing on some level. You stated you were having a problem. I and another poster stated that we did not have the problem you mentioned. I suggested things that may be going on...obviously an issue exists if some of us are able to access the email page with no issue and you are not. Pointing out that there are documented issues with FireFox (one of the browsers you stated you used) and various websites is an attempt to help you out. You may be an Apple Tech but that has absolutely nothing to do with you having issues accessing a Verizon website  page and possible issues with the browsers and the site in question (last that I checked isn't an Apple browser). At any rate, try going to the following URL: https://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/contact/email.jsp If that doesn't work for you then perhaps you can find a better solution. Being an Apple Tech as you stated I'm sure you can figure it out without any of my attempts to help you out. Good luck.
Wow!  How interesting you read all kinds of negative things into my fairly brief reply.  I was just using broad strokes here to let you know that everything was up to date but the site is not kicking out an email form to me in either of the two, up to date browsers I'm using.  As you noted, this has little to do with technical competence and eveything to do with some flaw in the site that puts me in an infinite loop when I try to get a help desk ticket.  You never mentioned which browser you are using, but I'm guessing that it's IE?...
Anyway, lest you take umbrage again, let me state clearly that I'm just looking for an answer and while "it's not happening to me" is a partial one indeed, it doesn't solve my problem.  The link you posted is exactly where I end up going, but can't get through. That's what's so puzzling to me.
I'm grateful for any replies, but please don't take offense because I'm trying to save us all some time.
    Peas and Carrots,
    Mick
The thing that seems to be part of your issue is the browsers you are using and their compatiability with the VZW website. That is why I pointed out the things that I did to begin with. I'm sorry...you responding to possible solutions with " I'm an Apple Tech and know what I'm doing..." came off as if suggesting that you check your browsers and pointing out that a search showed that FireFox has a long list of website compatiability issues was beneath your level of knowledge because you're an Apple Tech and know what you're doing. THAT is what caused the response. You stated that the URL I provided took you to the same place you keep arriving when you try to go to it using the browsers that you are using. The URL works fine for me using IE. Another possible indicator that for whatever reason, the browsers that you are using and the VZW site don't play well together. I stated that I don't use either of the browsers that you listed so I can't troubleshoot those browsers...but perhaps trying a different browser will help you see the form so you can contact VZW as you initially wanted to. If using another browser isn't something you are interested in doing, perhaps doing an internet search about your issue will find fixes for the browsers and site issues...or you might just have to contact VZW via the telephone or go to a store if you can't contact them via the website. Another option you may have is to send a PM to one of the VZW Employees that post on here (you will have to search the forum to try and find one unless there is another way besides looking through the threads to locate one that has posted or doing a search in the search box). Also, I'm not so sure how reliable it might be but you can try going to the VZW Facebook page (if you use FB) and posting a message on there...perhaps whoever runs that page will respond with an alternative way for you to contact someone viz VZW for help. I don't know if providing you with the last email address that I was contacted from a VZW rep will help since I'm not sure if the emails are filtered to specific depts but if you want to try that then just let me know. Otherwise, maybe someone else can chime in and give you some help that you can use.
Thanks for all the help, but unfortunately IE is not available on the Mac platform and Chrome is not fundamentally different from Safari or FireFox.  Verizon must have built their site entirely on IE webkit if the site really doesn't function properly on anything other than IE.  What a shame.  Anyway, that's also why I alluded to being an Apple tech and using the two major browsers that really are available for us.  I'm still not a Chrome fan (too much distrust of Google, I guess), but I know other Mac people who like it.  They're usually much younger.  ;-)
Anyway, at this point we've both wasted too much of our time with this and I'll just call.
I think the thing that annoyed me the most about the problem was that it seems like VZW is really trying to make it hard for people to find the page to send an email.  Once you finally find it, you can't get it to work if you're using an Apple computer!  In spite of carrying the highly sought after Apple products, they may have designed an entire website that has significant parts not compatible with open source code on which both of those browsers (Safari & FireFox) are based.
And they wonder why Steve Jobs went to AT&T first?  ;-)
    cheers,
    Mick

  • Can you bluetooth/email mp3s to iphone?

Hi, I'm probably getting an iphone pretty soon and need to know one thing. Can you send mp3s to your iphone by bluetooth or attached to an email and then play them using the ipod function? In other words add them to your library on the iphone?
I know you're supposed to do it via itunes on your computer but is this possible? Or another way I haven't thought of that takes the computer out of the equation?

I don't believe that you can do this.
The supported e-mail attachment types are on page 136-137 of the manual:

  • Can we collect email addresses and build a search function?

We want to build an app using InDesign, DPS and Edge Animate (plus some custom html5 and javascript if necessary/possible).
We'd like to have a form somewhere in the app where users can enter their email addresses if they want to receive email from us. Is this possible with these tools and some html5 and javascript brought in to InDesign?
Can we build a search function within the app that searches all the text?
I understand that by using a Folio Overlay, the app can bring in a web page. So, could we, for example, create a web page that shows latest stock prices, and then bring that into the Folio Overlay, so that the user always sees those latest prices? What happens if the user's iPad is not connected to the internet? Can we set a default image for the overlay? Also, will the app remember the page it downloaded last time if it can't connect at a later date?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
We developed the first example of search within a DPS folio for the Sotheby's app. In addition, MEI  integrated search within the core of our DPS storefront and custom UI solution, MEI Portico. Within a Portico-powered UI, you can search for folios, specific articles and other content and can then navigate directly to the desired content.
Please feel free to reach out to discuss.

  • Can you group emails into conversations by drag and drop?

Conversations in Mail is working fine.  However, sometimes there are messages that don't link because they are from the same person but a different time or not in the current "related" group?
Can you MAKE them group into the conversation somehow?

    I never have this problem

  • Can you still email direct from Preview?

Before Mountain Lion, you could email a document directly from Preview, but I cannot find that menu option anymore. Going to Mail and choosing the document as an attachment is a workaround, of course, but takes a lot more time. Any quicker solutions?

You could use Automator to customize a routine if this is something you do regularly. Apple provides some fundamentals about Automator in:

  • Can you ping iTunes through iWeb?

    Greetings Everyone,
I set up my iWeb podcast site and the iTunes Store is receiving all the information accept the program logo. I followed some of the suggestions in this forum including renaming and resizing the logo. I reduced the file size
to a very managable size fo 32 kb and the image size to 320 x 272. The original logo, which was much a bigger picture that was not resized, was accepted by iTunes without a problem. What else can I do in iWeb to make iTunes accept this logo? Can I ping iTunes through iWeb?
Here is my web address, http://web.mac.com/gregradio14.
    The iTunes location is, http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=256973284.
    I appreciate your assistance.
    Thanks,
    WUWFMan

I think that your problem still lies with iWeb. Your XML still lists:
    http://web.mac.com/gregradio14/iWeb/Site/Blue%20Plate%20Special/Blue%20Plate%20S pecial_files/podcast-large.jpg
as the link to your iTunes image.
iTunes is just showing what it is told to show.
