I'm not quite sure what you mean by this - do you mena connect to the Mac to access streaming media or perhaps you were wondering if the AppleTV can behave as a wireless extender to give network access to the PS3 - it can't.
If you are looking for media server solutions there are several available that run on Mac, some free some commercial.

  • How many times can you install iLife 09 onto your Macs?

My teacher for Video Production wants to update to '09, and we have 5 Macs at our school.
He doesn't want to have to buy 5 separate discs, and was wondering how many times the CD Key can be used when you buy just one program.

  • Can I import photos from iPad to Mac using WiFi?

I know I can import photos from the iPad to the Mac using the USB cable, and importing them into iPhoto.  But is it possible to do this without plugging in the iPad - i.e. with WiFi?  I couldn't find a way to make it work.
Better still, would it be possible to automatically 'sync' photos taken on the iPad to the Mac using iCloud, without also having photos from the Mac going back to the iPad?  My iPhoto archive is now quite large, and I don't want it on the iPad.
Or are there any other approaches?
I really want to be able to use the iPad to regularly "empty" my camera while travelling, and have the iPad transfer the pictures to my main photo archive (iPhoto on the Mac) whenever it gets a chance.  If this can happen automatically, that is best.  Manually initiating it via WiFi is next best.  Mnually initiating it via a USB cable is third best - still not difficult, but more steps.

Can anybody confirm this one way or the other?
If you have 800 photos on the iPad in the Photo Stream, those 800 photos will appear in the Photo Stream in iPhoto. However, if you have 7000 photos in albums in iPhoto, they will not appear in the Photo Stream on the iPad unless you place the photos into the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is its own album in iPhoto and your already imported photos in iPhoto will not appear in there unless you add them to the photo stream.
Look at one of the WiFi photo transfer apps such as WiFi Transfer App. You can send the iPad photos to your Mac using Safari on the Mac and then Imprt them to iPhoto as you see fit. You cannot send the photos directly into iPhoto with these apps.

can you connect a GATEWAY TOWER to a MAC 23in CINEMA DISPLAY?

Hi, likely you can, but which 23" is it, one requires an expensive DVI-> ADC connector, not the cheaper ADC->DVI connector, the later one has DVI already.
Then it depends what output your Gateway has for Video.

The USB port on the Time Capsule is used only to connect a hard drive.
Connect your Mac using an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule if you do not want to use wireless.

Can you connect iPad to Mac mini, Can you connect iPad to Mac mini?

Every Mac Mini has a USB port. Every Mac Mini can run iTunes. The only catch is that you need to be running Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) or later. So in general, yes, an iPad can connect to a Mac Mini.

  • Can you connect your Ipad to a projector using Bluetooth

Can you connect your Ipad to a projector using Bluetooth, if so what projectors, My situation is that I want to connect my Ipad3 wireless to a projector where there is no wifi available so the apple TV and airplay won't work.

    No.
If you have an Apple TV, get an Apple Airport Express wireless router which is small enough to fit on your pocket. You can set up a wireless network without having to have internet for your iPad and Apple TV to be connected to.
    Or use a wired connection.

  • HT204022 how can you steam photos from i photos of your mac to apple tv

how can you steam photos from i photos of your mac to apple tv

I'm having this problem too - although it's a recent issue as I was previously able to view all my iPhoto library albums via Apple TV.  Currently I can only get my Photo Stream (presumably via iCloud).
When I go into Advanced within iTunes Preferences, I can't see any options for photos - what do I need to do?
    Many thanks

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. As both have Thunderbolt, it's as simple as buying a Thunderbolt cable, connect them and press Command and F2 keys on the iMac, so the iMac will be used as an external display for the MacBook Air. If you want more information, see > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302

  • Can i connect my iMac to a mac mini (wirelessly) and control the mac mini display on my TV?

Can i connect my iMac to a mac mini (wirelessly) and control the mac mini display on my TV?

Look up "screen sharing" in help
You can control your mini (which I am assuming you are hooking to your TV) complete from your iMac.
After you set up screen sharing, you can go to the finder, under the "go" menu choose "Connect to server" and then browse.  Choose your mac mini's name, and look for the "Screen Sharing" button.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Sharing.
    Select the Screen Sharing checkbox.
To specify who can share your screen, select one of the following:
    All users:
Select this if you want to allow any user with a user account on your computer to share your screen.
    Only these users:
Select this if you want to restrict screen sharing to specific users.Click Add at the bottom of the Users list and select a user from Users & Groups (accounts you have set up in Users & Groups preferences), Network Users (users on your network), or your Address Book. Or click New Person and enter a name and password to create a sharing account. Then select that user from the list, and then click Select.
Click Computer Settings and set the following options:
Anyone may request permission to control screen:
Select this to allow anyone on your network to request to share your screen.
VNC viewers may control screen with password:
Select this and enter a password that VNC viewer applications can enter in order to control your screen. It’s recommended that you not set a password if you only share this computer’s screen using the built-in screen sharing viewer in Mac OS X.
