Can you copy an PrintWriter Pointer?
The default directory for the file my program outputs is C:\ but the user does have the option to change the directory, in which case outFile, a variable of type PrintWriter, is changed. The problem is that everything that was written before the change is now lost. Is there a way for me to keep the data?
thanks, lateralus
Did you close the stream before assigning it to another file?

Can you copy multiple audio (text to speech) files from one slide onto a new slide at once? OR do you have to copy and paste each line of text to speech and insert into new slide?
Hi there
I believe that you end up with a single file that you can use. Once you get that created, it's an audio file in the library. You may then add the audio file to another slide or object by looking in the Library after choosing to add audio.

Message title says it: Can you copy/paste files from the Finder to Mail in Lion, or drag them onto the Mail icon in the Dock to create a new message and attach the files to it?
I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base that says these two options no longer work or still do.
I do not have a system capable of running Lion, but I need to know the answer nonetheless.Gee, I don't know: "paste attachments mail Lion"? ;-)
One further question, if I may: in Panther (which is where I've aggregated nearly 7 years of mail), if you copy more than one file in the Finder, switch to Mail, and paste the files into a new message, only the file names paste in. If you copy one file and paste it into a Mail message, you get the file, not just the name. Is that still true, or has that (IMHO) bug been fixed since 10.3.9? -
Can you copy an insert in Logic?
Can you copy an insert in Logic? You can in Pro Tools, anyone know how?
Yes. ⌥⌘-drag an insert to any other slot and it will be copied (with the same settings). ⌘-drag it and it will be moved only.

Can you get a power point program for the mac, my daughter has a power point assignment and i am not sure how to do it on the mac
You can use a free alternative like openoffice for this:

or libre office which is a fork of open office:

Can you automatically delete anchor points when a new image is placed on top - so that it 'replaces'
Hi all,
I know that I can delete anchor points but I was wondering if there is a shortcut to do it on a larger scale.
Can you automatically delete anchor points when a new image is placed on top - so that it 'replaces' the image, only on the parts obviously that you cover with the new one.
Thank you allHi,
I'm using CS6, and I have a tree vector image, and I am trying to put names on top, but when I do this to keep it clean with no anchor points (as my other software cant read it with all the points in it) I have to manually delete each one but it deletes the whole path and I then end up with a tree, names on top, and a big gappy circle around the names.
So really, I wanted to add the names on top, and have that delete all anchors underneath .
Does this make sense? :S -
Can you copy songs from I-touch to I-pod nano?
Can you copy songs from I-touch to I-pod nano?
NO.
You sync songs from your computer to both devices.
All of your music should be on your computer in itunes. You can sync it to your Nano from there. -

Can you copy Subtitle Streams from one project to another?
I inserted subtitles onto a track and would like to use the same subtitles on a new track; can I copy them and paste them into the new project?
How can I do this?
Many thanks! What you can do is export the item description for the track (File->Export->Item Description) which will export the track, including the subtitles. Then import that back into the project or new project, subtitles will come in, though you would need to change the video portion (if needed).

But you can select frames or a range of frames and then
copy/cut frames.
In the new document you can then paste frames. It has a lot
of variations depending upon how you many you copy, if there are
multiple layers, what area you select before pasting and so on. It
would take a lot to describe and I'm not sure I would describe it
properly.
Generally just give it a try and get an intuitive feel for
it. The choices are available from the Edit menu but also from a
right click.
It is also possible to slect and edit multiple frames so if
you do need to move a bunch of things on different key frames that
is also possible. -

Hi dylansnana,
If you have a Mac, the Photostream should already be on the Mac in iPhoto (presuming that you have iCloud set up on the Mac, and Photostream turned on).
