Can you create a book that combines exports based on multiple versions?

I am trying to create a single export job to a database table that pulls hierarchies from 2 different versions in DRM. Using the Version Variables, I have flagged the two different versions specifically for this export processes. However, when i try to create a 'book' to combine the exports, it forces me to choose a single version. Is there a way to bypass the choice of version within the 'book' definition so that it simply defaults to whatever version is indicated within the individual exports?

I don't think ( per my knowledge ) we have a way to create a book that combines exports that points to different versions, as you said you are exporting the results to a DB table, define the order in which the exports to be executed and for the first one in the target section “select clear all rows”, and for the second one select “do not clear the table”.
Now try creating individual CFG's for these exports and call them part of a single batch in the appropriate order, I know it's little painful to do this, but can't help it.

At this time, unless I've missed something recently, you cannot. You can load an iBook onto multiple iPads if these are all owned by your household though (you can't give an iBook to a friend, for instance, or a relative that lives elsewhere).
If the ability to lend books is important to you, you may wish to purchase Kindle books from Amazon, though you'll want to confirm that the book has lending enabled - not all do - and that the Kindle app for iOS supports lending.
This is one of the several advantages of physical books; the ability to loan them out or give them to someone else. Whether the book publishers will ever allow similar unfettered handling of electronic books is unknown, though I'd guess they'll be dragged to it kicking and screaming.

Yes but how are they going to create the Landscape versions?
The problem with doing it in Pages '09 as rotated content is that the Headers and Footers are not rotated and there is inherent clumsiness in the rotated content usually being too large for the page when viewed at 90°.
Best to make it in two or more separate documents.

Hi, I am trying to make a rpg style character select interface. What i am trying to do is very similar to the picture below. How do you create a button like the stats, gear, and supplies that will each show a different image or text depending on which character you choose. If noone have played this marvel facebook game before, if you choose for instance Ironman, then the buttons on the right change to stats, bio, and gear. Each character will show a different bio when the bio button is clicked. Do i create a different screen for each character with the same button layout in the same place? I think i just answered my own question but i want to make sure that is possible. Should each character portrait, stats, bio, and gear be on its own layer and have the buttons go to those specific keyframes? thanks

While you could create a different screen for each, a better way to do this is via some form of database. The buttons cause functions to be executed and the functions utilize data resources based on the selections that are established.
So if you pick a particular character, a variable is a assigned a value that indicates that. That variable is then utilized to extract the data associated with the character and to build the screen elements related to the options for that character.

You can send out as many forms as you wish however you can only collect responses from 500 recipients according to the EULA:

Thanks for your response, now I'm finding out from the client that this is really an anonymous survey that they want to put on the site. They have been using an online survey but it keeps asking people to join by email. They are getting complaints about that so they want to find another way.
I've tried to make the form anonymous but I can't remove the email field. Can this be hidden so it doesn't show. Or is there another way to do this?
I'm not able to code javascript and there are other questions which are similar to the sample I gave which require a text field as well as check boxes.

I was wondering if it was possible to create a button in a PDF that, when clicked, adds specific text to a form field?
I am trying to make a product catalogue where you click on a product button to add the product name or code to a form field.
Each product in the catalogue will have a button and the more you click the more is added to the form field(s).
Then when you have finished adding products to the form field(s) I want to be able to save and email the entire PDF as an order form.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Yes, it's possible. The most simple version of such a script will be something like this (used as the button's MouseUp event):

Adobe can you create a palette that will save favorite typefaces?

How awesome would it be to have a palette across CC where favorite fonts can be saved. Along with that have filters such as: serif, san serif, bold, condensed, script, ect. This could be a huge time saver and I think designers everywhere would love it. Any one else agree?

It's a reasonable request, especially since Adobe is already starting to go down this road. InDesign CC has a font menu feature where there's a star next to every font name, and if you click the star you mark that font as a favorite. At the top of the InDesign font menu are filter icons for favorite fonts and TypeKit fonts, so if you click the favorites filter the font menu will only display the fonts you marked as favorites. (Illustrator also has a font menu filter, but right now it doesn't do favorites.)

Adobe Muse has a useful filter like that for easier browsing through TypeKit fonts before you add them to the Font menu.
So Adobe is already doing a form of the features you're asking for, so when you make your request on the feedback site you will want to make a case for having Adobe extend those existing features into other CC apps like Photoshop.

The user immutable bit (uchg) is the same as the Finder lock, as described above by X423424X. It's a weak lock, with only a warning.
The system immutable bit (schg) is more powerful. Once is set, the item cannot be deleted in Finder (even though Finder will ask for your password and may give you the impression that it can trash it; it will end with an error).
I set it in Terminal, thus
$ sudo chflags schg my_encrypted_disk_image
and unset it also in Terminal
$ sudo chflags noschg my_encrypted_disk_image
(Note that, when you unset the system immutable bit, the change won't be reflected immediately in Finder, but the item can be trashed nevertheless.)

Can you create/export a file that won't be able see presenter's notes, either in Keynote or PPT format?

Yes, I can export to pdf without the notes. I was wondering if it was possible to send someone the slides in PPT format without including my presenters' notes.
They are lecture slides for a class, so I am giving my students copies in pdf, but I might want to give them to someone else in a format they can edit and use as slides, but without having my notes to myself in there. I suppose it's not designed for such an option, as far as I can tell, hiding the notes doesn't make a difference if exporting to PPT.
