Can you create a custom iBook widget that accesses the ipad's camera?

I am wanting to know if anyone has created a custom iBook widget that accesses the iPad's on-board camera? I will be creating and custom coding the widget myself. Thanks any feedback is welcome.

How can you create a customized page to change user password?

Hello to all,
I would like to create a customized page for a user to change their password. We are using Portal version 3.0.9 on Windows NT/2000. Currently there is a page in portal where a user can change their password.
I tried linking to that page by copying the shortcut url and adding it as an html portlet. The problem is that we want to direct the users to a
page of our choosing when they click on the "cancel" and "ok" buttons. I read in the forums that there is a selfreg.cmd script.
I also read that there is some code that has been available.
Has anyone implemented a customized user password change page? Do you know of any links that might have steps to follow or
more informatioin?

run from the server. Is there a way for me to make a custom task that runs from the server?
If it helps, I'll be creating a task that implements the Poweshell script found
here that converts an incident to a service request. I'd much rather the conversion take place on the server so that we don't need to deploy the SMlets Powershell module (and another dependency) on each user's workstation.

Can you create a PDF in Designer that allows pictures to be later pasted in to it?

I need to create a PDF that will allow our customers to copy/paste screen shots in to the created PDF document. I have tried this with a dynamic PDF and cannot get it to work. Any ieas if it is possible? And if so how.

Hi Caroline,
The issue is that the form you are using has not been Reader Enabled and (by the error message) you are using Reader.
This means that you will not be able to save the data inputted into the form (including an image into the image field).
If you are using Reader, then the form needs to be reader enabled in order to give the ability to save data inputted into the form.
This can be done in two ways:
(1) If you have Acrobat Standard (v9) or Acrobat Professional (v8 or below), then there is a menu item that will allow you to enable the form. However there are license restrictions (see EULA).
(2) Using the full LC enterprise Suite Reader Extensions to apply the reader rights. This is a server component and is €€€€.
I have a summary on the Adobe Cookbooks that summarises the differences in deploying a form and the restrictions that are in place depending on whether the user has Acrobat or Reader and how the form was reader enabled (if at all).

The sample in the previous post was not reader enabled and this is why you got the error.

Can I create a custom XMP panel but using the exact same fields from standard XMP panels?

I am new to XMP and not very technical, so please excuse me if this sounds like a stupid question!
I have managed to create my own custom panels for Photoshop using the Generic Panel method with my own custom fields and they work fine. However what I need to do now is create a custom panel that uses the exact same fields from some of the standard panels. The reason being is that I have 4 fields that need to be integrated into another non-adobe system (Extensis Portfolio) that recognizes standard XMP fields, but at present these 4 fields are spread across different standard panels and it would be much easier for the user in Photoshop if they were all together on one panel.
An example field is the "Additional Model Info" field that currently resides on the standard IPTC Extension panel. If I fill in a value in this field on a JPEG then open the the image in Extensis Portfolio, then the field is also filled in in a field called IPTC - Model Info, displaying a key of Iptc4xmpExt:AddlModelInfo.
Is there a way I can take this standard field and use it on a custom panel, so that it can still be filled in in Photoshop and the value viewed in Extensis Portfolio? Sure I can create a custom panel and create a field called "Additional Model Info" but I can't figure out how to connect it to the corresponding field in Portfolio. I tried changing the xmp_property name="Iptc4xmpExt:AddlModelInfo" but this just broke the panel.
Is what I am trying to do possible and if so how and can it be done using the Generic Panel method?

Sure you can. Tap and hold down on any app icon until all of the icons "jiggle". Then drag one icon on top of another icon and a folder will automatically be created. You can name the folder as you see fit, but the iPad will give it a name on its own, based on the type of apps that you first create the folder with.
When you are done - tap anywhere on the screen - other than in the folder itself - and then tap the home button and the apps will stop jiggling. You can put up to 20 apps into a folder.

Can you get a customized iMac from one of the retail stores?

I wanted to know if it was possible to get a customized iMac from one of the Apple retail stores or Apple affiliated retail stores ( www.yescomputers.com for example )?
The reason I am asking is because the ONLY problem I have with Apple is their shipping. They seem to always use FedEx when shipping to me and FedEx, SOMEHOW, is extremely terrible at shipping products to my address. UPS is fine but FedEx just can not figure it out.
If it is not possible I think the base model 27-inch: 2.66GHz might be okay. I would just like to know either way.

Can you create a custom static top third and nav bar?

I have created an index page with a custom nav bar and main banner. Is it possible with iweb that this could remain static and just the portion below reloads when you click a nav bar link?

You can do custom templates and so on and 'print' these to JPEG, or just Export a bunch of JPEGs and put them in iPhoto to create a book online. Not the same, I know, but in case one wanted to do one.

Can you create a custom dvd menu with Premiere Elements 12?

I am giving this software a trial before deciding whether to buy. Is it possible to create your own custom DVD menu? I understand that you can "download" a template and customize it to some extent. But the customizing does not seem to allow you to delete or add elements, like graphics or menu buttons. I want to be able to delete graphics/menu buttons I don't want, as well as add or subtract buttons as I need for each project. Or, I would like to create a menu from scratch.
Is either method possible in Premiere Elements? Thank you for any assistance.

You can go with a one main menu set up and use main menu buttons. But, note that there are typically far less buttons on the main menu than on the scene menu. One maneuver is to switch the main menu with the scene menu to gain a buttons per page advantage. That is done by reversing the file names of the main menu .psd and scene menu .psd.
At the editing of the .psd level, there is also the choice to add more buttons per page to a scene menu and create text or thumbnail scene buttons.
One of the principles to keep in mind...no one movie in a multi movie Timeline can have its own Scene Menu page.

If your customization does not require the opening of Layer Sets in the Layers Palette of the .psd file (happens under certain plans), Photoshop Elements can do the .psd edit job for you, and you do not have to go to Photoshop CS or higher. There are Photoshop actions that might be used in Photoshop Elements to open Photoshop Layer Sets (as found in the disc menu .psd files), but I will not get into that right now.
Please review and consider. And, then we can go into more details.
