Can you define custom regions?

I'd like to be able to create a region chart in Power Map but rather than using regions that are recognized such as postcodes or counties, I'd like to be able to define my own, in my case the areas that my sales branches cover.
I have a file which has all the coordinates for each branch to map the outlines.
Is this possible at the moment / is it in the September update?

Motion effects are not supported for responsive projects, motion paths have no sense.

Yes you can. You can import a Motion project file directly into DVD Studio Pro, though when I tried it took a loooooong time (depends on the size and complexity of the project of course). Here's a tutorial on how to do that:

OR... you can just export your Motion project and import it into DVD SP as a Quicktime file, and put that in the Menu section. Then you can add your buttons and so forth and proceed from there.

That's not what the above KB article says but I've never tried it.
This is what is states:
In Mac OS X, this dialog box appears the first time a DVD disc is inserted:
"Since this is the first use of a DVD disc, the drive region code must be initialized before playing.
"New Drive Setting: Region Code 1
"You can only change the drive region code 5 more times."
As I read that, once you set the region code, there are five additional changes permitted. As I said I haven't tried it and I'm not about to.

I am fairly new to Application express, I have created an application but I would like to define a different homepage for a user when they login. Of course I can modifiy the PLSQL code:

But to the best of my knowledge nothing that even has to do with the contact list is customizable other than entries you put in

You can declare single quote as constant
If you are aware for single quote (') SAP uses an escape character which is the single quote itself('). Hence for every single quote you have to add an additional single quote.

There are a number of region display ponts ie Page Template Region Position 1, Page Template Region Position 2.........> Page Template Region Position 8. Is it possible to create another ie Page Template Region Position 9 which is directly below 8??? If so.. how?? I am building a application and am using alot of conditional displays and i have run out of regions!

No you can not create more region display points.
But each display point can have N number of regions in it and conditions are at a region level not a region display point level.

Hi, I'm new to Report Painter and SAP in general. I was just wondering if it's possible to define constants that are visible across reports. e.g. In the header text for all our reports, we want our company name to be displayed. But instead of hardcoding it, we want to retrieve it from a constant or variable.

Thanks for the response but this isn't exactly what I was looking for. From my understanding, the "Sel. Parameters" button allows you to access and display values that were entered by the user in the selection screen of the report (correct me if I'm wrong). What I'm aiming for is something like a global variable defined on the backend that all reports can access.
I've looked at the other buttons that you pointed out, but it seems like I'm only able to use some pre-defined tables and fields. Does this mean that there isn't any way for me to define and use my own customized variables for reports?

How many times can you reset the Region?

A few minutes ago, I put a DVD into my MacBook for the first time.
It was a Region 1 disc, and immediately Apple's DVD player opened and began playing the disc. I was rather surprised, because the first time I inserted a DVD into my Mac Mini, Apple's DVD player opened, but informed me that the region must first be set before I could play a disc.
(I know that the system preferences can be set so the machine "does nothing" when a DVD is inserted. It isn't the fact that the DVD player opened that surprised me--it's the fact that I wasn't given a region-setting warning before the DVD began playing for the first time.)
I then stopped the DVD player, ejected the disc and inserted a Region 2 disc. Again, Apple's DVD player opened, and when I hit the play button, I received the notice that the drive's region was set for 1 and would have to be changed to play the Region 2 disc.
However, what was strange is that the message indicated that I only had 4 region changes remaining.
I always thought we were allowed 5 region changes.
Am I wrong, or is it possible that the region setting on my MacBook had already been set (and perhaps even reset) before I purchased it?

I encountered the same thing when I played a DVD in my MacBook for the first time, I had assumed it would ask me as my other Macs had done. However, it appears that since Panther, an administrative user does not get asked this question. The following is from the Info Article on DVD Regions
"In Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and later, users with administrative privileges aren't prompted to change the region the very first time a DVD-Video disc of a single region is inserted. Instead, the region of the DVD drive is automatically set to the region of the DVD disc that was inserted."
The article also indicates that 5 changes is the standard, so if you were logged in under an admin account it automatically set the first one for you.

Does anyone know how to define an event programmatically for a form object using JavaScript? My example is this:
I am passing form fields to a validation function in a JavaScript object by calling scriptObj.addToValidation(this); from the field initialize event.
The field object is added to a JavaScript array so I can check for null values of potentially hundreds of fields with one block of code. What I also want to do is define the click and enter events for each object programmatically from the addToValidation(obj) function while iterating through the array. This way I wont need to add code in each field in the design view, my goal is to take as much code out of the form fields as possible and put it into a script object using an object-oriented approach.
A path I was looking down was trying to access the event by: fieldObject[i].event__change = ... If you print the event__change or event__enter to the javascript console you can see it is an XFAObject but I cant find any doco about these objects and dont know if Im on the right track.

It's doable, although it's against my religion. :>
I found out I can still propagate events down the object chain (or "up" according to Adobe's documention, a metaphor I find counter-intuitive) by manually adding the tag
listen="refAndDescendents"
to an event tag of the parent subform. To my relief, even though subforms don't listen to Change activities, the event does get propagated to children who do.

Can you make custom clothing for 3d Models?

Hello, I am new to Photoshop CS5 Extended and mostly bought the program for making textures for 3d clothing since it has a bridge from DAZ to Photoshop which I hope will make my work go faster. I have been using DAZ and Poser for a while now and have been working in photo editing and vector designing for 12 years. I am not new to this, just need to adobe products. I was wondering if it is possible to custom clothing for 3D Daz models using Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended? I can find tutors on painting models but nothing on making the custom clothing itself, not a texture for other clothing but making my own clothing for DAZ Kids4. I have been using Hexagon to work with clothing but was looking for a photoshop alternative method.

for the mesh, hexagon is actually better than photoshop. Since it can create the actual mesh. Though, you can import the mesh into photoshop so you can see it while you paint the texture.
The 3d creation portion of photoshop is still a bit limiting. (But my experience stops with CS5. I have not tried CS6 yet, so impovement could have been made)
The issue I have with hexagon is the amount of bugs in it. I prefer a more robust and more expensive alternative. But thats me
A free alternative is Blender. But I find the UI a bit outdated and hard to grasp. But again, thats me.
Generate your UV maps as you normally would then load them into photoshop and get painting. You may like other texture generating apps to go along with photoshop. Genetica is great for making tileable textures.
