Can you design websites in indesign?

InDesign is very flexible application but designing websites? While you can certainly use it for prototyping, I would choose something else such as the already mentioned Muse or Dreamweaver.
There's a great article by Justin Putney in InDesign Magazine on this, but I don't recall which issue. It wasn't that long ago, though.

Well it's not offsetting as such in illustrator
But in the top bar (the control bar)
When you select your frame set the Proxy on the left (the square shape with 8 squares around and 1 inside it) set the black square in the middle.
In the Width/Height information (make sure the link button is on (to the right of it) and type in 3mm and hold down alt and press enter
That will duplicate the frame you have - effectively offsetting it.
You can then group them - does that do what you need?

Can you design a custom blog using muse?

I know how to design my own website and upload it to my server but I was curious if Muse has a way for me to design a custom blog site as well and upload it into wordpress. Let me know!

I'm also thinking about to integrate a content area which could be updated by the customer. I was thinking about something like a "blog-element". After a long search and realising once again that I'm still not the code-guy at all, which lead me to muse eventually , I didn't find an easier solution than the iFrame Builder Lite (iFrame Builder Lite | Exchange | Adobe Muse CC) - maybe this could be also helpful to you.
You can easily embed any site/post you want into adobe muse within a second. That worked for me ; ) So the idea is to set up a wordpress blog where the customer can generate content in a single post - and then it will be simply integrated into muse through the iframe builder by just using the url of that single-post. Everytime my customer updates this one post the content will also change in muse.
Does this makes sense to anybody?! Would be awesome if this is what you are looking for!

Can you move websites published on from a Single User account to Team account?

Need some help we had a single user account with which all our websites were hosted for clients, then we upgraded the whole studio to the Team Package, but need to know if we can cancel the single user licence and move the current live sites in that account to our team account? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a ~/Library/Mail/ and this has a subfolder of /AccountTypes, so full path is ~/Library/Mail/AcountTypes
I have 6 active email accounts over 20000 mesages and send and receive constantly. Until upgrading to Lion I was able to see the directory contents you mentioned and used to backup the .mbox files etc as required and everything was good.
Now Nothing, hence my confusion
Any ideas? Am loathed to delete complete drive as even though I have a timemachine backup and could also generate a diskimage file am just not happy

Can you Nudge Layers in InDesign like Photoshop CS5?

I have been trying to find ways to nudge the InDesign layers by selecting the specific layer/layers in the layers pallete. At the moment, the only way I know to move the layers, is by selecting and clicking on the layer on the document itself. The issue was, that when I duplicate a group of layers, I could not just select the duplicated layers, but I had to select every component of the duplicated layers on top of the original layer, so I could not simply drag and drop a selection cursor.
But the point being, is there any way to nudge the InDesign layers by selecting the specific layer/layers in the layers palette.

Not exactly. You can't nudge the layers, but you can select all the objects on them (on a spread-by-spread basis) and move them all together. To do that click the small square to the right of the layer name, or Alt/Opt click the layer name itself.
Layer in ID are more similar to layers in Illustrator than they are to Photoshop.

Can you create menus in InDesign 5.5?

Does anyone know if you can create drop-down menus in InDesign5.5? I imagine I could use text buttons and line them up, but is there an easier way or am I in a Dreamweaver state of mind?

Another question, if you don’t mind. Do you know if I make a change to a folio will that change be reflected on the end user iPad automatically. In other words will a change from our database be reflected automatically for the users or would they have to update the app?

Can you design a filter in a sequence and then save it?

I made a cool little filter that consists of a couple of alpha video files that I might like to use for future videos. Is there any way I can save it as a filter in my effects/filters folder in final cut Por 5. or in my favorites folder. Thanks I appreciate your time!

"Files" don't make a filter, "Filters" in the Viewer's Filter tab make up a filter. You apply that to video Files, or clips. If you have created an effect by applying Filters to a group of composited clips in the Timeline, you can save those clips in a Sequence of their own, which can be copied and pasted to other Sequences in other Projects.
If you mean just the filters, yes, you can stack up a ton of filters in the Filters tab of the Viewer, and save them as a Filter Pack.

Can you export plugins in Indesign CS6?

I have supplied an InDesign CS6 file to a colleague, when he tries to open it it asks for 4 missing plugins? Does anybody know a solution to this?
Do I need to 'export' the plugins, if so does anybody know how to do this?

I am just figuring out what version of InDesign he is using? I also think he is on a PC not a Mac.
I am going to back save and see how he gets on.

Can You Build a Website with iWeb and then publish it to another server?

I am very new at this but like how easy iWeb makes it to build a website. A few questions for the newbie:
1. I want to build a site but have another server I use who would host it. After watching the iWeb tutorials it looks as if you have to publish it on mobileme.com. But I already have hosting with another company. How do you do that?
2. I also have a domain name I want to show up in the hyperlink bar not mobileme.com/____, is that possible to do with this program?
3. Are their other templates for iWeb? I see about 12 or so they offer, can you search and download for new ones or is what's there all you have to choose from?
I appreciate any help on these matters.

The only thing backed up from InDesign is the limited number of settings in the Sync Settings preferences, and only if you choose that option. No design files are backed up.
If you choose to use the File Sync files feature of the Creative Cloud desktop app, you can choose to copy files for yourself or to share, but that it's turned off by default.
