Can you download CS5 'after' you download Cloud?

I was wondering if it is possible to buy adobe Cloud, purely to use for a few days until I get the open case for reinstalling my CS5 sorted THEN I can cancel Cloud (due to 30 day money back trial) and carry on with my CS5, which I WILL be able to sort, just not in the next few days.
Would this be possible, or once I've downloaded Cloud will I not be able to use an older version?

After using the Cloud you will need to uninstall and run the cleaner

  • Can't Update CS5 after uninstall

    I am running Windows 7 x64, and I just installed CS5 design standard. I had run into some issues with my font software so I decided uninstall and reinstall. I ran the uninstaller everything was good, I re-installed and it fixed my 3rd party font software, but when I try to update my programs Bridge tells me that I have no updates to install.
    I believe when I uninstalled CS5 it didn't unstall the updates, now my programs are not updated.
    I know there is a CS5 cleaner and I didn't run it thinking the uninstaller would do it. I am looking for a fix other than re-installing everything a third time.

    An update gets removed during uninstall of a product. In this case where you feel like the update is not showing up in the updater (Help>Updates) you can still download to run them explicitly. The return values/log messages of update will clarify if the update is applicable or already applied.
    The updates run the same way whether run manually or automatically via help updates, so either way will not have impact on future updates.

  • Can't install CS5 after downloading

    I am running Mac OS 10.6.4 on MacBook Book Pro. After spending all day downloading CS5, I have encountered a problem with the file "Adobe_Creative_Suite_5_Master_Collection-AkamaiDLM.dmg."
    When I cick on the DMG, it asks if I want to open it. I say yes, but nothing happens after the progress bar finishes. What can I do, do I need to start from scratch?
    I have quit all open apps. I have followed the instructions (Troubleshooting CS5 Installations) to use Acitivity Monitor, and quit processes that might be conflicting.
    The knowledge base doesn't offer any more ideas. There is NO ONE on tech support all weekend. Like design people all work 9-5. I guess they figure several hundred dollars isn't a big enough expenditure.
    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Thanks for your reply. I am one step closer. This time, the installer did launch, as you predicted, and it seems to be installing correctly. I'll send an update. I have a suggestion for the download instructions. I know that I might have mis-read them, but it looks like they say quit everything; you told me to keep the browser open, which is obviously the correct procedure.

    Most of us get 20g storage with our plan. Is there a way to pay for and increase the storage?

    I assume the LR 5 storage is a different storage with also 20 gig I believe. I would assume you can not upgrade that either.

  • Can't download Cloud Apps

    Is anyone having trouble downloading apps using the Application Manager? Whatever I try, the app hangs halfway.

    InDesign and Illustrator. But I have narrowed it down to something in my user folder, because they open fine in a test account with admin privs. Any suggestions?
    OK, another update...I eliminated the problem by deleting teh preferences in the user folder. Voila.
    So, I guess this thread couls be dropped entirely.

  • Can't access photos after upgrade to cloud

    I have an iMac 2.5 GHz with 4 GB memory, currently running OS X 10.10.3. I updated photo and went to use the new cloud storage of my photos. The system was updating fine it loaded about 5,100 of the 8,200 photos to the cloud. However now it is not updating for it has been updating the last ~3,000 images for 24hrs. Also if  I try to open the application Photo, I receive a message that "Photo must quit because  the photo library has become corrupt or is unavailable". I'm concerned and not sure what to do.
    I have a Macbook air that is also upgraded and with that device I can access photo iCloud but only the 5.100 photos.

    Hold down ⌥ and ⌘ whilst launching photos and try repairing the library.

    I'm a freelance book editor and want to be able to work on the same InDesign/Illustrator/Acrobat docs as a designer contact who uses CS5.5. I don't want to risk any font or layout corruptions by using different versions. Can I get CS5.5 on Creative Cloud or do I need to buy separately?

    Only CS6 is available via the Cloud.
    There's nothing stopping your design contact signing up for the Cloud on a 3 month pre-paid basis (or even a month-by-month basis - higher monthly fees is the only penalty) to get access to CS6 in the Cloud purely for the purposes of doing your project.
    When they want to stop paying, they can continue using CS5.5 without any issues. They can also re-activate the Cloud when they wish.

    Not sure how you'd get hold of CS5.5 now since Adobe has stopped selling it.

    The usual reason for not being able to download is that Premiere Pro (and other video apps such as After Effects) are 64 bit only so they require a 64 bit computer and a 64 bit operating system.
    If you're running a 32 bit computer and operating system then you will not see the Premiere Pro icon since the software will not run on your computer.

    How can you tell which songs are downloaded on the iPad from the cloud?

    I know ipad albums are more like tagging photos rather than putting them in folders. I just have a nagging feeling I missed some pics and I have too many to try to go figure out one by one. I don't look at my photos from the camera roll, only from albums I tagged just because I imported photos from different sources and the dates and order is really messed up. I just want to know that I am viewing all the photos from like this vacation or that event and there's none I missed that are only in the camera roll.

    Your iPad is physically out of storage space. Purchasing space in iCloud dosen't magically give your actual iPad more physical  storage space.
    You need to delete content off of your iPad.

    Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.
