Can you download music straight onto your ipod nano 7th generation without the use of a computer?

so can you download music straight onto an ipod nano without having to sync to a computer, i'm just wondering because my dad wants an ipod but just for music so there's no point him getting an ipod touch, and he doesn't own a computer so he wouldn't be able to sync. he doesn't live with me also so it would be a pain if he had to use my computer every time he wanted to add music to his ipod.
thankssss

No. Sorry. The only way to transfer the music to your ipod is through syncing in iTunes. Cheers!

  • Can you download music from IPad to IPod?

CAn you download music from your Ipad to your IPod?.

Not directly no. If they are iTunes purchases and you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded then you might be able to re-download them directly on your iPad - or if you have iTunes Match then you should be able to.  Otherwise you will need to sync via your computer's iTunes

  • Ipod Nano 7th Generation is saying Use Itunes to Restore. Itunes no longer recognizes my device

Please Help, My Ipod nano 7th generation was syncing. When I disconnected from my computer, I no longer had any music on it. When I plugged it back in Itunes prompted me to restore my Ipod. I went ahead and restored it, but it kept asking me to restore. When I unplugged my ipod, I got a white screen saying Use Itunes to Restore. Problem is Itunes no longer picks up my device. I've tried plugging it into different USB ports, I've tried to update Itunes to the newest version, and uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. I've tried to reset the ipod, but it still goes back to the white screen saying "Use Itunes to Restore". I've been trying everything. Please Help.
    Thanks

No. You need iTunes on a computer to restore it.  If you don't have iTunes you can download it from here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you don't have a computer, can you can try to borrow one with iTunes installed.

  • Tv show episode will not go onto my Ipod Nano 7th generation.

I already Unchecked Download HD when availible and downloaded the Sd version but it still won't work! All of the other episodes worked fine except this one! I went back and checked to see and make sure I unchecked the box and it keeps checking itself! x( If I already downloaded the SD version I thought that wouldn't matter, but maybe it does?

Restore the iPod.  It will wipe everything off back to default.  This way, you can set it up with your stuff.

  • Anyway to sync music straight to your ipod without adding to your library?

As the question states above, Im wondering if you can just add music straight to your ipod without keepng it in your library.  I have all the recent updates on my ipod touch.  Awhile ago i was able to do this.. I would just connect to itunes.. stop it from sycning and click on " my ipod" and just drag a music file into my ipod and it would sync on there instead of keeping it in my library.  and for some reason now i cant do that.  I just dont like to keep alot of music on my computer for memory.  I have a mac too.  thanks

  • Would you recommend iPod nano 7th generation?

I've got a iPad 2 and a iPhone 4. I'm thinking about getting a iPod nano 7th generation. I use iCloud but I know that the iPod nano doesn't have iCloud so I started syncing with iTunes. I do it about every 2 weeks. Would anyone recommend the iPod nano to me? I just want a very portable device that I can use to track my walks and listen to music and the radio. Who would recommend it to me? It looks really cool though.

An iPod Nano is portable, you can listen to music and the radio, you can even use Nike+iPod while you walk. However nobody here is going to recommend an iPod for you to purchase. Sorry friend we are here to help people fix issues with their devices and nothing more.

  • How do I shuffle a playlist during a workout on an ipod nano 7th generation?

How do I shuffle a playlist during a workout on an ipod nano 7th generation?  The only shuffle option I see is for all songs, not a specific playlist.  I know that I can begin a workout using the now playing option.  This will allow me to shuffle a playlist in the begining of my workout, but if I want to change music I cannot get back into shuffle mode unless I select the shuffle all songs option.

This is from the Nike support page:
Shuffle Songs: Plays songs shuffled randomly from your music library. To shuffle a playlist rather than your entire music library, start the playlist in shuffle mode before setting up your Nike+ workout. Then, when setting up your workout preferences, select "now playing" in the Music menu.
