Can you easily scratch the back of the iPad mini with your fingernails?

I have a iPad mini with retina display and I'm worried that my fingernails might scratch the back.

It is probably possible but I would think unlikely. The back is made of aluminum which could get scratched but I don't think your nails could do it. Neither my iPad nor my wife's iPad have ever gotten scratched from our use.
