Can you edit the html in iWeb?

I publish to a folder and need to edit the div tags on a box. I can't seem to get the html open, though, unless I view source online. How can I hand edit it?

There's no way to customize the URL. It's what iPhoto and the .Mac servers give it. If you select a web gallery in iPHoto and click on the Tell a Friend button at the bottom iPhoto will create an HTML based email that you can send and all the reader has to do is click on the links provided.
This is what it will look like.

  • Can you edit the color of the bottom play bar on a slide once you assign the cpCmndShowPlaybar to 0

Can you edit the color of the bottom play bar  on a slide once you assign the cpCmndShowPlaybar to 0. When I assign the slide this action it shows a grey shape at the bottom hiding the playbar controls, but I would like to make that color white to blend in with the white background on my webpage. How do you change the color?

It is not possible to change the border color by an (advanced) action, sorry. If you do not mind, you could choose the white color for the bottom border from the start. When the playbar is showing, provided it it stretched, it will cover up this bottom border.

  • How do you edit the HTML export template?

Fireworks HTML and images export does not render correctly when viewing in IE9 due to the default browser padding values.  I'm a little disappointed the Fireworks dev team didn't see this coming and add some code to prevent this rendering issue.  Anyway... I've come up with a work around to edit the html pages by adding my own style sheet which includes the yahoo CSS reset styles to take care of this problem and it works great.  The only problem is, adding it to every page of a multiple page export is tedious.  So, I'd like to directly edit the HTML template fireworks uses to generate the html in the head of each page it exports so it includes a reference to my own external style sheet.  I just need to know where/if I can make this change.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Greg

I've never tried it, but the HTML Code folder inside Fireworks' application Configuration folder contains a number of items related to HTML Export. (Incidentally, I'd never mess with this folder without first saving a backup, and even then it's at your own risk.)
There's no simple HTML template file here, but there are files like "DreamweaverLibrary.htt", which is a "hypertext template" file that looks a lot like JavaScript to me. So if you're comfortable modifying JavaScript, then you could take a crack at it. I'm not sure, but it looks like this library file might govern what gets written into the head of an exported HTML document. If not, you could try a different one.
Another, less invasive approach might be to do some kind of Find and Replace on the exported HTML documents—using Dreamweaver or a text editor.

  • Can I edit the HTML version of DHTML text?

    Hello,
I'm having a formatting issue with my drop-down hotspot text that I cannot edit in Design mode. Let me explain my problem:
I have a bulleted list, 3 bullets, each bullet is a hotspot. Within the hotspot text box, I have numbered procedures in all 3 cases. However, when I view my page (using the eye glasses icon), my numbers have turned into bullets! I don't want this -- I want my numbered procedures in the hotspot text to remain numbered, but since I cannot see the problem in the hotspot text box, I cannot change it. Sometimes, when editing topic text, you can jump to the HTML to fix <span> issues (font changes, spacing. etc.). But, I cannot seem to edit the hotspot text in the same way. Does it reside in a different file from the topic? It's an odd problem...I think this is the first time I'm seeing it.
Thank you very much for your help!

If you highlight one of your DHTML Dropdowns and go in the Truecode (or HTML tab in RH7 or later) you'll see a reference to a tag with something like:
    <a class=dropspot x-use-popup=#POPUP78861142
Take a note of the popup number (78861142 from the above example) move to the top of the HTML and do a find for the number. You'll find a tag with something like:
    <div class=x-popup-text id=POPUP78861142
which is the HTML for your dropdown. Look in there to see what is going on. Having your own style wouldn't make a difference unless it is not coded to do what you want ;-)
The exact HTML code may differ if you are using RH7 or later.

  • Can I edit the HTML that Muse exports in an HTML editor like Dreamweaver or Coda?

If I create a site in Muse, can I export the HTML and pass it along to a web developer to add additional hand-coding?

Choose Object > Insert HTML. In the window that appears, select the default placeholder text and Press Delete (Mac) or Backspace (Windows) to remove it. Choose Edit > Paste to paste the HTML code  into the HTML Code field. Click OK to close the HTML Code window.

  • Can you edit the RTF layout manually WITHOUT using wizards?

    Hi,
In Oracle Reports we can edit the layout in the layout editor. I.e. we can add fields, repeating frames and drag the objects to any position we want. Can you do the same in BIP, instead of using a wizard?
Is it recommended? Or should we always only the wizards provided by the BIP Menu?
    Thanks & Regards,
    C.S.

I mentioned XML only becasue you will need to be familiar with your XML data stream (i.e. the elements avalaible for use inyour RTF template), if you are not using the BIP toolbar, as you will not be able to choose them from a list, like you can with the toolbar.
There are aspects of XSL you will eventually require but these can be picked up as you go by reading on this forum and others Blogs, and the BIP user guide of course. (You get the user guide when you install the toolbar!)

  • How can you edit the Email Address field in Mail without deleting the account?

I have a few accounts and the email address domain of my work account has changed but it seems to be one of the fields you cannot change.
On my iPhone it was simple ... you can just edit the field and it works.
My Email comes in fine but mail auto selects accounts based on the domain of who you are emailing and now that it has changed its not doing that anymore.

If you're running iOS 6, to change your iCloud ID go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • Can you edit the legend of a pie chart?

    Hi,
    Here we are again...
We use a BI query to get a list of activities and their status. I want to display this in a pie chart. So for example:
We get a list of 20 activities and there are 15 activities with status "A" and 5 with status "B". I can perfectly display this within the pie chart. (We get a pie chart which is 75% blue and 25% red).
My question: How can I edit the legend so that it doesn't say [blue] = "A" and [red] = "B", but for example [blue] = "Open" and [red] = "Completed".
Is this possible at all with VC 7.0? Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Jan Laros

    Hi Fabien,
That could be a solution, but it is kind of dirty...
I find it very odd that there is not a standard way of editing the legend labels.

  • Can you edit the text of a PDF that is placed in inDesign

I have placed a PDF in inDesign and am curious if I can edit the text of that PDF while in inDesign.

Edit it with Adobe Acrobat Pro, indesign can't. Option for Indesign is:
of course overlay text with new text
There is specialized software for editing PDF files, though the choices are much more limited and often more expensive than creating and editing standard editable document formats. Version 0.46 and later of Inkscape allows PDF editing through an intermediate translation step involving Poppler.
Serif PagePlus can open, edit and save existing PDF documents, as well as publishing of documents created in the package.
Enfocus PitStop Pro, a plugin for Acrobat, allows manual and automatic editing of PDF files, while the free Enfocus Browser makes it possible to edit the low-level structure of a PDF.
In Acrobat you should use the TouchUp Text Tool.
But in the end, PDF-files are not made for editing.

  • Can you edit the "events" in iPhoto on your ipad?

I've finally figured out how to sync iPhoto from MacBook to iPad, now I'm having trouble editing the photos in the albums or events. Seems like I can only move them around on my computer but can't move any photos on my ipad. Is there a way that I can organize these on my ipad? First world problems I know but since I have more time on the iPad it just makes sense that I arrange them in here. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

There isn't an Aperture or iPhoto app for the iPad (it comes with a basic Photos apps which is effectively just a viewer), and the photo editing apps that do exist are fairly basic : cropping, brightness, rotation, straightening etc e.g. the free Photoshop Express app from Adobe (which also has an in-app purchase option). You can use the iPad for reviewing photos but if you tend to do extensive editing then it's probably not suitable.

  • Can you edit the genres of tracks, once theyre in iTunes?

Is it possible to edit the genres of tracks once theyve been imported into iTunes? I like to keep all my tracks in particular genres, so I edit them in Windows (right clikc on the mp3 file, then go to avanced & details etc. But sometimes I forget & then I import some tracks, or a CD & the genres are all over the place
What Ive done it the past is wiped iTunes, re done the genres of the mp3 files in windows, then re0imported - but this takes a long time
it would be good if you could edit the track once it was in iTunes?
    Many thanks

Yes, you can edit the data in iTunes. Select one or more tracks, then press CTRL-I or right-click and select Get Info from the context menu. Genre can be set from the Info tab.
For tips on organising in iTunes see Grouping tracks into albums.

  • Can you edit the name showing on Friends list?

My Apple Watch defaulted my Friends to be the top 12 favorites from my phone.  The problem is my first three contacts are spouse home, spouse work, spouse mobile. On the watch all you see is Spouse, Spouse, Spouse with no idea which goes to witch number.  Is there anyway to edit the names so they show on the Watch differently? Otherwise I'm calling the wrong phone or texting a landline accidently.  I'm using my Apple Watch with my iPhone 5s running iOS 8.3.

Yeah, that's kinda annoying. I guess the Watch assumes I am only ever calling someone's mobile number. In fact the Friends in the watch do not seem to be linked to the contact. The friends area is very weird and not overly integrated.

  • Can you edit the title of downloaded files?

I am downloading a series of files from autio CDs. They are lanaguage lessons. However, the titles are either wrong for the lesson numbers, or are  untitlted.
My plan is to put them on my IPhone so I can listen while driving.  I wish to edit the titles so I can go from one to another in order.

Although my looking solved the problem, it was a right click that showed the info that could be edited. I did not understand what "command+1" meant.

  • Attention Moderator!! Can you edit the following post...

    Hi..

The poster – a newbie – unwittingly posted a tonne of code... think the post can be edited as it goes meaninglessly on forever...

As I see it, the astonishing part is not the amount of code but the sheer length of the post.
There may be some loophole to close; or to investigate further: if we can get to the bottom of this, maybe we can avoid multiple posts answers altogether.
    Jacob,
Not really any thing to close... Ikarios posted the entire file to show the problem... and no multiple posts either... Just surprised that no moderator has floated by...
