Can you explain what exactly cdc mean in data services......?

Hello!
I would like to know  what exactly change data capture (cdc) mean in data services......?

Hi sudheer kore
CDC is basically a technical term - Change data capture. We use a few approaches to work capture changed data during ETL process. This can be called incremental approach/ delta loading of data.
Source Based CDC
-Using a timestamp, date, datetime, or int column to uniquely identify the next "band" of rows to be loaded into the delta process in combination with a status table, global variable, and where clauses of the query transform. This is demonstrated in the Tutorial file provided with Data Services in the CDC chapter.
-Using the Database native CDC functionality, available in Oracle, SQL Server and I believe Attunity
Changes are replicated to change tables in the source, marked as insert/update/delete. Data Services can natively read these tables through the use of CDC Datastore objects and Map_CDC_Operation transform.
Target Based CDC
-Must be used if the methods above are not available. The Table_Comparison transform is capable of comparing all source records to the target table to determine if an INSERT or UPDATE is required for that row.
Few links that would explain this better

Sorry can you explain what is difference between cellular and cellular (MM)

The MM or Millenium Media according to what I can find, refers to the CDMA variation of the Cellular iPad for Verizon Networks.
The non MM version is for GSM carriers like AT&T.

This is the crash report I just got. I am just doing random work and this happens. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain what this means. I have fixed my computer with DiskWarrior 3 times but this just keeps happening. I also have bootcamp and it's doing absolutely fine.

You have the MacBookPro6,2—the Edsel of Macs. It may have the logic-board defect that was covered by a recall program that has now ended.
Residents of the EU may be entitled to warranty service for up to six years after purchase.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider, to have the machine tested. The routine hardware diagnostics used by service providers do not detect the fault. There is a specific test for this issue that Apple calls "VST" (for "Video Switching Test.") Ask for it. A "Failed" result means that the fault is present.
You may be quoted a price of about $300 (in the U.S.) for a "depot repair," which involves shipping the unit to a central repair facility and takes about two weeks. For that flat fee, anything found wrong with it should be fixed, not just the logic board.
Sometimes the replacement part is also defective, so be prepared for that possibility. If you decide to pay for a new logic board, test thoroughly during the 90-day warranty period on the repair. Some owners have reported that they went through as many as three replacement boards before getting one that worked.
If you don't want to pay for the repair, you may (or may not) be able to work around the problem by disabling automatic graphics switching. To use the discrete graphics processor, you'll need a third-party utility to switch to it manually.
Often the problems start after an OS upgrade. If the upgrade was recent, and you have backups, then you can revert to a previous OS X version.

  • Can you explain what's different about 3.7 captive runtime?

I noticed one of the features for Android is captive runtime. Isn't that already supported? What's changed? Is it just captive runtime is enabled by default? I read somewhere where you say it's supported by more targets but what does that mean?

In AIR 3.6 you would either have had to install the AIR 3.6 runtime APK onto your device yourself, or you would have to get it from one of the Android stores. If you did neither of those things, then the app would not run.

  • Can you explain what this means

We run a network so I read this site. Another post promted be to look at the Finder/Network. I am now at a remote location on the the network and we run WPA.
Under Network I can see all the computers in the office - 5 of them. But also listed is: Servers, Fx-2Ba616 and Owner-10gfw09Ks.
Are these 3 things suppose to be listed? What are they? Or worse, who are they?
    Tim

    Save the file.
    close soundtrack pro
    reboot the machine
when the machine comes back up run soundtrack Pro only
open your file and do the export again
if that doesn't work what you want to do is trash the Preference . Do that using digitalrebellion.com's Final Cut Studio maintenance pack. Use that to remove the preferences.
Repeat the procedure is described about

  • Can anyone explain what "multi-tenant" means with respect to OAM and OIF?

    Hi,
I noticed that OAM 11gR2 has several additional authentication modules and schemes out-of-the-box for "MT" or multi-tenant. I've actually tried them, but am not clear exactly what their purpose is?
As a test, I configured the FederationMT module and FederationMTScheme to protect a test resource in OAM, and then when I access the resource, I first get a page with one field for username and a "Sign In" button. After I enter a user name, it goes to a form login page and I can log into the OIF IdP, and that's about it. I guess that I don't see what this accomplishes?
If anyone is familiar with this, please advise.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi,
Thanks for the metalink article. I've read that, and I can understand what the article is describing, but I'm not 100% clear how that relates to the configuration parameters in the FederationMTPlugin. The article talks about a mapping file, but I don't see something like that for configuring the TenantDismbiguationPlugin?
The first step in FederationMTScheme plugin is a TenantDisambiguationPlugin, which takes two parameters:
    KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF
    KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS (a comma-separated list of "some things")
The steps/orchestration for the FederationMTPlugin has:
    Initial Step: FedUserAuthenticationPlugin
    TenantDisambiguationPlugin OnSuccess: FedAuthenticationPlugin OnFailure: UserIdentificationPlugin
    UserIdentificationPlugin OnSuccess: UserAuthenticationPlugin OnFailure: failure
    UserAuthenticationPlugin OnSuccess: success OnFailure: failure
    FedAuthnRequestPlugin OnSuccess: success OnFailure: FedUserAuthentication
    FedUserAuthenticationPlugin OnSuccess: success OnFailure: TenantAmbiguationPlugin
[The OnError results for all steps are failure, so I haven't shown them.]
So, the first step is the FedUserAuthenticationPlugin (AssertionProcessing), and if that fails, the next step is the TenantDisambiguationPlugin.
I guess all of my questions are around what that TenantAmbiguationPlugin does, and how it works?
I'm guessing that what you enter on the 1st webpage, which asks for a Tenant, is matched against the comma-separated list that is in the plugins "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" parameter.
    Is that correct?
    But:
    a) What happens if there is a match of what you entered vs. what's in the "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" list?
    b) What happens if there is NOT a match of what you entered vs. what's in the "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" list?
That article you mentioned calls for a mapping file, that maps what is entered (the tenant) to a user identity store, but where is that in the TenantDisambiguationPlugin's parameters? The only other parameter for that plugin is the "KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF" parameter.
Having said that, I described the steps and step orchestration in the FederationMTPlugin above. If the TenantDisambiguationPlugin is suppose to somehow map what's entered to a user identity store name, then, with respect to the FederationMTPlugin, is that mapped user identity store used for the UI and UA steps (i.e., as the "KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF" for the UI and UA steps)?
Thanks for your help with this. Oracle's documentation certainly merits some improvement :(...
    Jim

  • Can someone explain what exactly the 802.11.n enabler does?

I have the 802.11.n installed on my MacBook Pro laptop, (i checked through the steps provided by this site). Does this mean it is already activated or do i need to do something to actually activate it?
I am a computer 'newbie', so to speak, and don't know a whole lot about the ins & outs of what makes them work, etc., but want to learn as much as i can.
    Thanks!

The 802.11n Enabler was for earlier MacBooks and maybe a couple other models.
Originally, those models came enabled only for b/g. By purchasing the 802.11n enabler the Airport Card was updated to "n" speeds.
I know, I had one of the first Core2 Duo models that came out with that configuration and had to buy the 802.11n enabler.
This was the late 2006 MacBook model.
A few months after that, all machines came with 802.11n and the updater was no longer needed.
You probably don't need this but here is the specification on who does.

  • Can someone explain what exactly is involved when it comes to Time Machine snapshots?

Can someone give me a brief and succint description and tutorial on how Time Machine snapshots work?
I use Time Machine (on Mac OS X obviously, ML 10.8.4) to backup my HD onto a separate external drive at least once a week.
However, like so many other users I'm online in a variety of places so most of the time (about 99%) my laptop isn't able to be connected to the external designated for HD backups and I've heard and read that the application Time Machine can use "snapshots" to create temporary backups to hold until you've connected your external the next time.
    I wonder how that works?
How do I go about setting up this snapshot option so that my laptop can be regularly backing up my files without me having to be tethered to the external at the same time?
Won't that fill up my entire drive due to virtual memory or sleepimage or swapfiles or something along those lines?
And last but certainly not least, how can the user take use of this option but also prevent the TM snapshots from hogging every availabe byte of memory.

    That's how it works.

Local snapshots are made automatically in portable Macs with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion. Simply disconnect the Time Machine drive from your Mac and your Mac will start making local snapshots.
    CS7981 wrote:

These snapshots are stored in the hard drive and they consume a lot of space, as they are backing up the whole hard drive. A lot of users complain about the space they take, but in general, you don't have to worry. See below.

Local snpashots will be deleted automatically when the hard drive is full, so don't worry about it. If you want to remove them, simply open System Preferences > Time Machine, and turn it off. Leave it for some minutes or hours, and turn on Time Machine again, but there's no reason to do that

  • Can you explain about actual GI ........

    Hi gurus
Can you explain about actual GI (gods issue) date and planned GI date? Can actual GI date differ from planned GI date?
    Regards
    ipsit

    Hi Ipshit,
Planned goods issue date is determined as a result of availability check which took place in the back ground.
If you goto sales order and have a look at your schedule line data, then the confirmation date in the schedule line will be your planned GI date.
Actual goods issue date is the date when you actually press the goods issue button.Your billing date in VF01 will be same as the actual goods issue date.
    Reward points if it helps.
    Regards
    Karan

  • Can anyone explain what a condition type means in pricing.

    Hi,
Can anyone explain what a condition type means in pricing. And how to create condition type and how it effects Pricing conditions.
As I am new to this area. Detailed explanation is highly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,
    Rasheed

    Hello Rasheed,
Below mentioned are the few important things related to pricing.
    - You first define Condition Tables .
    - Define Access Sequence and assign condition tables to it.
    - Define Condition Type and assign Access Sequence to it.
    - Now define Pricing Procedure and assign Condition Type to it.
    - Now you define Pricing Procedure Determination using Sales Org, Distribution    Channel ,Division,Document  Pricing Procedure and Customer Pricing Procedure which are the key fields.
The above steps can be done in SPRO.
-Now maintain the Condition Records(for eg:For the specific material what is the cost or for a specific customer what is the cost of the specific material etc) using Txn:VK11.
    - Once you maintain the Condition Records , you can reflect the same values in Condition Type in SPRO.
Hope this information is helpful for you to relate Condition Type in Pricing,
Please reward with points if this information is helpful for you.
    Regards,
    Shanthala.

  • Can you explain detail what is Open PR's, PO's ?

    hi,dear all,
Can you explain detail what is Open PR's, PO's ?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Purchase Orders created and yet to received the Materials from the Vendors, and or yet to do the Invoice Verfication or quality Inspection for the received goods from Vendor in all such cases you call them Open Purchase orders.
During SAP Go-live date, we decide Cut-off dates for PR's, POs,  Prod Orders, etc
which ever order Opened but yet to complete or in execution stage.
<b>Basically this is Status of the Order.</b>

when trying to sync my iphone in itunes i keep getting the error message "itunes cannot sync apps because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determined." can anyone explain what this means?

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps.  I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps.  I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

Thanks gor replying,,,this is my first time on this site.
Any idea why the "other" continues to increase. I have just got got my mac so no new apps installed yet only been using it for mail and web browsing. I tried the iphoto mail last night and noticed the the "other" section had increased by 1GB which I thought was rather larger. Do you know what this setion actually does ?
Also do you know if it is possible to delete the iphoto emails.
All of your 'stuff' that is not Music Movies Apps Backups or Photos is in Other, that means all your emails, all your files etc, why don't you just leave well enough alone, this is not windows and doesn't need tinkering with,

  • What exactly 'PAYLOAD' Means???

What exactly 'PAYLOAD' means.??? Please help me with simple examples and in context of BPM process.

    Hi
I hope the earlier links from Sudipto should give you an idea. In simple terms, in context to a BPEL or BPM Process, I would treat Payload as the Input data that each user/service in that Process will Work On. Means they want enter or modify that data.
Simple Example: Vacation Request BPM Process. As an Employee, I want to go on Vacation and this has to be approved say by 4 people above me (I am the lowest last employee in the company). They can either Approve or Reject. Approve will go forward, and Reject will go in back direction.
Me Employee -> Team Lead -> Project Manager -> Manager -> Supervisor.
The payload is simply the data or the information that each user sees. In this case its a Vacation Request, so the data will be like
    Vacation Start Date
    Vacation End Date:
    Reason For Vacation
    Emergency Contact.
We do need final response back from the superiors after final approval. And that can be like Approved or Rejected with Reasons.
Since this is a process, everything is a XML. And the Payload will look like this: You will define a .XSD Schema that produces a xml like shown below.
    <vacation>
    <vacation_request>
          <st_date></st_date> --- of type Date
          <end_date></end_date> --- of type Date
          <reason></reason> --- of type String
          <contact_phone></contact_phone> --- of type number
    </vacation_request>
    <vacation_response>
<outcome></outcome> --- of type string - Approve or Reject
<reason></reason> --- of type string - Reason why vacation request is rejected like there is a production deployment next week etc etc.
    </vacation_response>
</vacation>If you take a Ordering system, it will have lot of XSD elements like above to show product detail, line items, discounts, shipping address, credit card details etc etc.
I hope this should give you an idea.
