Can you freeze a frame in motion?

Can you freeze a frame in motion so that I can use it FCP?

just as an add on the shortcut is Shift+N if you are going to use it alot. Also, when you make the freeze frame, the default duration will be whatever you have specified in your "User Preferences" Window under the "Editing" tab. I think 2 or 3 seconds is the default. If you're doing this alot you might want to be aware that you can change the setting so you don't have to fuss with trimming or expanding each freeze frame.

  • Can you freeze frame with the imovie app. and save the freeze frame to a picture

Can I freeze frame on the iMovie app and turn the freeze frame into a picture?

Experiencing the same issue. Fired up iMovie for the first time today and created 2 movies. The first was 35 seconds long and the 2nd was 1 min 45 seconds long. Got all my pics loaded up and added a song from my personal collection. Plays perfectly from the phone. The problem occured when I tried to export the larger movie. The first time I tried, it sat at the exporting movie status bar (without moving) and then closed the app. After relaunching the app, it told me that my audio file had been removed from the phone. After closing and re-opening the iMovie app again, my movie project played fine through the app but as soon as I tried to export again it rebooted my phone. I tried exporting on all 3 size options (Medium, Large, HD) and it did not matter. I tried multiple songs thinking perhaps that was my issue, but each one did the same thing. I tried the lock-screen time-out fix but that didn't help either. I have no problems exporting my smaller movie file (35 seconds)using any of the export sizes. This leads me to believe that the issue is soley related to the length of the project...or perhaps the number objects located in the project. In either case, it's definitely an app issue. I do love the app though...when it works.

  • Can you freeze your account when you are overseas?

I do a fair amount of travelling and I may be living abroad for a undetermined amount of time. I know in the past Verizon could temporarily freeze your account and you would pick up your contract where you left off once you turned it back on. My questions are:
How do you freeze your account?
Is there a limit on how long you can keep your account frozen?
Is there any fee whatsoever for freezing your account?
Thanks in advance for the help. I'm really trying to figure this out.

Is there a limit on how long you can keep your account frozen? Two, 3 month terms You must contact again after 3 months to continue
Is there any fee whatsoever for freezing your account? None I am aware of but read below
Thanks in advance for the help. I'm really trying to figure this out.
When you suspend your account, you will still be billed if you do not specify, suspend WITHOUT billing. Without billing your contract simply gets extended the amount of time the account is suspended.
    Hope this helps

  • Can you edit 24 Frames Per Second ( 24p ) in iMovie 6?

    Does anybody know?
I see that when you "Create a new project" you can choose several options, including 1080i .. but can you pick 24p somehow?
FCP can .. is this too much to ask for iMovie 6?
FCP seems to hard to use for a beginner .. but why can't we shoot 24p and edit with iMovie....

The 24p just looks so good to the eye
sure, but mainly because of usage of "progressive" instead of interlacing...
the framerate has very little effect on the "psychological" perception of a movie; the main issues of "movie look" are:
    * progressive - as said
    * blurr - video pics are mostly "crystal clear", a film-camera has looong shutter-times, compared to a consumer DVcam (which in bright sunlight switches to 1/2000sec)
    * fps - PAL has 25, which is close to movie.. we have more motion-blurrs then NTSC videos.... NTSC could look "too sharp"...-
    * depth of field - film has a much smaller area of dof
    * different color scheme - ..ehm, to be honest, .. too techie for me
as mentioned above, you get (some for free) many plug-ins for FCP/E, to accomplish some similiar effect with standard 30/25i material... for the classical "wedding video" I use JES Deinterlacer, deinterlacing the final project before makign a DVD...- looks great too...
but for sure, not as good as done with your 24p-camera-beast!!
    besides:
How did you judge pic quality?
in case, you connected camera to TV... the camcorder did convert from 24 to 30fps ... ... as said, progressive looks great... but can be accomplished much easier.

  • Can you change the frame colors in the .chm file?

In RoboHelp 8, HTML Help Output with .chm deliverable, is it possible to change the color of the frame borders?

    Hi there
I'd say it depends on what you are referring to. Some influence is there but not much. Which "Frame" is it? Can you post a screen capture pointing out what you hope to change?
    Cheers... Rick

  • Can you freeze panes?

In Excel, you can apply "freeze/unfreeze panes" so that certain rows and/or columns will always appear as you scroll through a sheet. Can you do this in Numbers? There is no such option in any of the menus and I couldn't find anything about this in the manual. Any ideas from anyone?

Can't be done. Just like all the other Cocoa based spreadsheets such as Tables and Mesa.
Why???? Who knows. Such a basic everyday simple feature missing is a mystery...esp after 3 years of development... truly a shame. No serious user will be able to work with this product as is.
Best to use Neo Office. Faster and more stable than Excel
Also, as mentioned throughout this forum, Numbers is unbelievably slow. I'm running a MBP 2.33 Core 2 Duo with 2 gigs of ram. Just don't have time to wait for the spinning beach ball every 2-3 seconds...even when trying simple tasks.
    Hopefully updates on their way.

  • Can you import Video Frames to Layers if your video is larger than 1280x720?

I can import a video that is 1280x720 or smaller to layers, but can't import one larger than that or Photoshop freezes up. and then has to be force quit.  when i reopen it after force quiting, it immediately crashes and then when i reopen it and try to import any video in any way it gives me the error message "Could not complete the Video Frames to Layers command because the DynamicLink Media Server is not available."

  • Project Documentation tab: can you 'freeze' a graph so another can be added and compared against?

I've been using the Project Documentation view recently to quickly compare dc signals against changes that I make to an electrical system. What I'm trying to do is capture a few seconds of a DC signal, stop acquisition, make a change in the system, then capture a few more seconds of the same signal and compare the two.
Project Documentation view is nice because I can drag the graphs onto the document for quick on the fly comparison.
Problem is, I drag a acquired signal's graph onto the document expecting the waveform to 'freeze' so that I can capture another segment of data and drag that graph onto the document for comparison. But once I acquire this second burst of data the first graph captures the live waveform, overwriting the baseline waveform I'm trying to compare against.
Is there a way to screencapture or freeze the graph so that multiple graphs can be stacked within the document form without them all updating?

    Hi OKors,
I’m not sure if you can do exactly what you want. If it were me, I would take the first reading, then save it to an LVM file, then take the second reading, store that to an LVM file, then load the files to compare.

  • Can you do 3D composition in Motion yet?

    Or are there any workarounds?
I saw a tutorial on how to make a building in Motion and I wouldn't mind trying to place it somewhere in a video.
Can I use a 4 point tracker to rotate and scale the bottom 4 corners, while tracking 4 dots in a video? It doesn't seem like it, so perhaps, instead of moving the object, could you (Rather awkwardly) move the video about to make it look like the object is moving within it?
BQ: Why is Motion 5 so **** slow on my computer? Did Apple even test this thing? I really hope they fix all this.

I watched a tutorial for making the building and his plan was to make one, duplicate it, change the colour of the windows and fly a camera through the small city.
He was supposed to show you his end product but he ended up not doing it. Seems like he's completely stopped tutorials. It was about 2 years old. He suggested to turn off the replicators while duplicating/moving the buildings around...uhm, that's basically what I wanted to say in regards to the replicators, that he suggested turning them off for the meantime.
Anyway, I tried placing the tracker underneath the whole group (I'm guessing the single layer above the tracker is what will be changed) but it kept wanting to go into the group. However, if I remember correctly (I don't have time to open Motion 5 and try it again) it was just beneath the group name, but in the group. Meaning that it moved the whole thing, but it wouldn't allow me to do a 4 point tracker.
I'd like to try making a cuboid but I can't seem to find out how? I'm a bit of a noob at this. I'm guessing I have to make a rectangle and just stretch the flat sides? How can I do that?
Also read my computer specs below the first post. Motion 4 seems to struggle on my computer, but watching tutorials with Motion 4, they seem to be just fine.
    Also I'm exporting/importing my media to/from a FireWire 800 external G-Drive.

  • Can you replace damaged frames with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 ?

Hello everyone! I'm new to Premiere Pro CS6 and don't know all the tricks (no previous experience with video editing). I have a video file that has some damaged frames (it is a VHS-DVD bad quality transferred file). I'm wondering is there is a way to replace the damaged frames with adjacent good ones so the audio is not disrupted (instead of just deleting the damaged frames). Please advise and be gentle . I'm a beginner! Thanks!
Damaged image                                                                                Good image next to damaged one

Thanks. I think I got it. I have two more questions. I'm trying to preview the video but it doesn't play in real time. The audio plays Ok but the video is lagging. I'm attaching my computer info so you can tell me if it is my computer's limitation.
Second question is regarding filters. In some parts of the video there's some horizontal lines scrolling down the screen. I wonder is there's a filter to minimize this issue before exporting. In the Export Setting I see only Gaussian Blur. I wanted to post a video sample but I don't see an option to post a video file that is not a link with a URL.

I switched to a Dell Inspiron 570 computer with better Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor 3.00 GHz and the video now plays in real time.

  • Can you customize drop zones in Motion?

Im trying to help a client who spends an extra day on his "template" adding picture to it but then resizing and cropping when the photo's are portrait as a apposed to landscape. I'm not really sure why this takes him so long, I think he has Motion 3 so maybe someone could tell me if this is much different with drop zones? But i was looking for a way to speed up the process? Let me know? Thanks!

Drop Zones will not distort an image, but only show what will fit.  If you have a perfectly square Drop Zone, and put an anamorphic clip in it, you'll cut off the left and right edges.  You can always take your Motion template in FCP and Send To Motion to change the size/shape of a Drop Zone.  It's pretty easy, can be done pretty quickly.

  • Can you make Custom Frames for HP Photosmart A826

I was wondering if there is a way to make Custom Frames to be used for the: HP Photosmart A826 Home Photo Center
Basicly I would like to add my company logo to photos printed with this printer if it is possible.

for the mesh, hexagon is actually better than photoshop. Since it can create the actual mesh. Though, you can import the mesh into photoshop so you can see it while you paint the texture.
The 3d creation portion of photoshop is still a bit limiting. (But my experience stops with CS5. I have not tried CS6 yet, so impovement could have been made)
The issue I have with hexagon is the amount of bugs in it. I prefer a more robust and more expensive alternative. But thats me
A free alternative is Blender. But I find the UI a bit outdated and hard to grasp. But again, thats me.
Generate your UV maps as you normally would then load them into photoshop and get painting. You may like other texture generating apps to go along with photoshop. Genetica is great for making tileable textures.

  • Can you freeze cells in Numbers?

    Good evening,
As a Numbers user, having switched from Excel, is there any way in Numbers to do a "freeze panes" functionality like Excel has? I want to navigate around a sheet with out having the header row and first column moving. I have looked all over and can not find it, am I just missing it?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
    Larry

Please, don't fight each other for a vocabulary problem.
Re reading the original question I feel that the OP
    (1) used wrongly the 'freeze pane' formula
    (2) wrote "with out having the header row and first column moving." to mean what we describe by " without having the header row and header column moving".
I am accustomed to wrong wording in questions

  • Can you export a frame to PDF?

Don't know much about flash, but was wondering if there was a
way to take a frame (or multiple ones) and export them directly to
pdf or multipage pdf. I just want to have access to a frame to use
for other purposes (presentations, etc) without needing the whole
swf. Whether it's directly in Flash, or there's a third-party app.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    TIA
    BZen

I've never seen software like that, but I have had to put
    together PDFs with screenshots.
What I do is go to the frame I want on the timeline then
file-->export-->export image and export a jpeg at 300
resolution at "full document size." After I've got images from all
the frames that I want I use the OpenOffice program, it's like
Microsoft Office, but free, and I just paste the images in for as
    many pages as I need.
Open Office has an file-->export PDF option that produces
very compact PDFs, even with images in them, (much better than some
of the older Adobe software I can make PDFs with) so I can e-mail
the PDF to myself and those interested in the project.
You can download OpenOffice or OpenOffice Portable easily,
    just Google it.
