So people have turned me to the iPad since I am returning to college after taking a year off telling me that this piece of technology can assist me in many ways. It can save me money in the long run since I can take notes on it and will no longer need to buy as much paper and other utensils, as well as keep all of my social media and e-mail accounts in one area, which is all fine and dandy. But the one thing I am most skeptical about is the thing I hear about being able to buy all of my textbooks on the iPad so that I don't have to buy the physical books themselves. Here is my question, is that true? Am I able to buy a textbook that is specific to one of my college courses no questions asked? I feel as though it would be nearly impossible to do that. This would be one of the primary reasons I buy the iPad, is to not have to carry around all those books all the time along with different binders for notes and stuff. Please let me know if this is a true statement. It would be awesome if I could buy all of my semesters books on the iPad and only have to carry that around! Thank you!

My macbook had a total meltdown and is only able to be operated in safe mode now. I'm planning to reinstall the OSX to try to fix it and I have no idea if it will wipe my memory or not. I have the disk , I'm assuming it just needs to be inserted into the disc drive.
Anyways, I'm preparing as best I can without Time Machine to backup my things just incase it gets wiped when I reinstall. Thing is, most of my music wasn't, well... Bought. If I drag it all into my purchased folder will I be able to restore it again if something happens?
(Also, in regards to Yosemite, is there a way to get your old iMovie back? I don't want my iMovie to be upgraded, I like mine just fine and I heard the new one that comes with Yosemite is total trash and horrible to learn to use. )

I got time machine to work, after using a different drive with 2TB of memory on it. This time, Time Machine picked it up, but I've never used this program before. Once it's been backed up (Which I can't tell if it has been, I truly have no idea how to work it other than that the application keeps saying "Next backup in x amount of seconds), do you know if I can unmount the drive? I don't want it to be connected all the time, that seems like such a nuisance.

The ipod is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Can you get photos back after recovering your ipod touch?

My iPod touch has been freezing on the apple logo screen and not opening up. I was told I'm going to have to recover or restore to factory settings in order for it to work again meaning, all my data will be gone. The problem is our computer died shortly after getting my Touch so i haven't synched with iTunes before. Does this mean it's a lost cause for my photos and videos? I could care less about the apps and even the music is ok to do without but the photos of my family are more important. Please help!

When you click on Submit, the feedback appears with the message to click anywhere or press Y. Is that what you are talking about? If you are talking about a real double-click, something must be wrong in your file. And which version are you using?

Things i had to set manually;
1) Keyboard layout, because it defaults to US
2) Two mouse keys don't work had to manually set, Emulate3Buttons defaults on (wanted it off)
3) "VideoOverlay" is off by default (or is not auto detected)
3) needed to set DPI to 96
4) needed to set color to 24 (defaulted to 8?)
apart from that, the auto detection is vastly improving IMO.
The main premise behind this, is to debate the auto detection capabilities of hardware by xorg.

Unfortunately, you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.
However, there are many highly experienced volunteer users here willing to help.
Can you please clarify: are you saying that your Flood filter (whatever that is) is in your Bridge folder but not in Photoshop?
UPDATE: I Googled your Flood Filter and discovered it's not an Adobe filter at all. Have you contacted its manufacturer, Flaming Pear? What do they say?
