Can you get an virus or trojaner through the connection-cable (PC) from your iPod touch?

I had an trojaner on my PC earlier and my iPod touch 4G was connected to my computer. Is it possible for the trojaner or viruses in general to make their way through the connection cable or something? If a photo or something wasn't infected. I mean sync-wise, etc.

It would be very difficult for a virus or trojan to get from the iPod to your PC via USB. Attaching a virus to any media file such as a photo or music track is very, very difficult, and all known exploits that would do this were blocked a long time ago. Attaching a trojan would not be possible. Unless there's a new exploit I haven't heard of, only if a trojan program was attached to an email and from there transferred to an app that could then be synced to your computer would it be possible malware come from your iPod. I think that rather unlikely and that your trojan got into your PC from some other source.

It should be fine. I restored my new iPod Touch from the backup of my iPad. You will have to reenter keychain items like passowords since keychain items only restore back to the same device unless you use an encrypted backup. The iOS of the target device (phone for you) has to be at lest as great as that of the source device.

No you do not have a virus. That is a standard web popup usually, that tres to get up to download a "removal program". The removal program is the virus or similar.

You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Okay, so I went on Twitter and some chick replies to a tweet and she sent me a tweet going like 'you guys were doin what here, looks confusing' then sends me a link. There was no tweet conversation or anything but being an idiot, I pressed the link (I was on my iPod Touch and it's 4th gen) and it got some 'time session ended' or whatever. Again, being the idiot and regretting it, I typed my Twitter username and password. Then it showed some 'cash' thing I don't even know. I searched it up, it was a phishing site and I changed my password for the third time. I hope you're still reading this because I'm very desperate for help. Nope, they can't hack you iPod. The can (or could) log into your twitter account and change the password so y no longer control the site.
If you used the same password for other sites/serves change those too.
You might also want to change other information information in the twitter account like secret questions/answers since maybe they already logged into your account to steal that data and plan to use that information at a later date.

Its only possible if that specific virus was initially designed to affect iPods. However most hackers would prefer to set spyware and malware to your computer instead, because it holds much more valuable information.. So saying that, it most likely isn't a virus.

You should only be concerned if keep frequenting the seedier websites because while the iPad will not get a virus it might get a Trojan if you get suckered into download one and giving permission for it to be installed.

You can also toggle that setting if you hover the mouse to the top and right click a toolbar to open the toolbar context menu: Hide Toolbars.
That won't show the bookmarks toolbar AFAIK even if it is selected. You can access the bookmarks via the Bookmarks menu button if you place that button on a visible Navigation Toolbar or Tab bar.
