Can you get iTunes to sync in the background?

First, I'm on a PC, not a Mac...
What I mean by my question is, that I'd like iTunes to sync every time I attach the iPhone, but I don't necessarily want the iTunes application to maximize and come to the front upon plugging the phone back in. For that matter, I don't need it to be taking up space on my taskbar.
While I'm at work, I'm using the USB cord to charge the phone and sync my calendar (which my place goes wild with), but when I receive a phone call, I need to unplug the phone and leave the room (coverage issues), so when I get back to my seat and plug it in, I have to minimize iTunes (and see it on my taskbar).
Is there an add-in or third-party app, or some sort of script that allows you to a) configure iTunes to sync, but only in the background and b) hide the task button or put it in the system tray?

I just want to know if I can. I'm not asking whether I have a good reason to. I probably don't. hehe :o)
But to explain WHY I want to, here you go:
I've got a personal secretary and 4 assistants. They do all my calendar entries and set up all my appointments. They do this via shared calendaring in Outlook. I also enter some of my own appointment info, but mostly they do. The point is, half the time I don't even know what they're putting on my calendar unless I check it.
When I receive phone calls, I like to unplug it so the cord isn't dangling from my ear. I thought "wouldn't it be great since I do this anyway, that EVERY time I plug it back in, it syncs and I don't have to see iTunes." At work, I have no use for iTunes except to configure the iPhone. This way, if I forget to sync as I'm leaving, I'll at least gotten most if not all of my appointments.
The point is a little moot and my question is just "a nice to have" because -- since I'm the boss :o) -- I ordered the IT dept. to open up the Exchange server for IMAP, so I get my calendar entries synced no matter what. It's just that I like the iPhone's calendar interface SO much and looking at my calendar entries in an IMAP folder ain't a lot of fun.
Also, I'm guessing ActiveSync WILL be licensed, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask anyway. Thanks.

I can't get itunes to sync some metadata over to my iphone 5. For example, for all of my metadata for Orianthi is correct, but When I choose her on my iphone, it shows thw songs all broken up followed by artwork from AC/DC! So I opened itunes, made sure all metadata was correct and then connected my phone to sync. Nothing. It doesnt change my music on the iphone to match itunes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ok, ran updates, found 3 new updates and after this was done all was well again. Still not sure why it only affected the touch and iphone, but guess i don't need to LOL.

That's consistent with all the tickboxes to the left of the tracks (in Song view) being unchecked.
Go into Song view and Ctrl-click (on Windows) or Command-click (on Mac OS) one of the empty boxes to do a "global recheck".
If you can't see the tickboxes, head into your General preferences tab and select "Show list tickboxes" as per the following screenshot (it's for an earlier version of iTunes, but the boxes are in roughly the same place in the recent versions 11.x):

I recently purchased a new Mac Mini with Lion installed. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes. Now I can't get iTunes to sync iCal from my iPod Touch (3rd gen) to my Mini. Everything else syncs great, and iCal syncs from my Mini to my Touch. My Touch has the latest iOS installed. I have tried rebooting my Touch, removing the sync calendars option from iTunes>Info and checking it again after applying and closing iTunes, and restarting my Mini. Any help will be appreciated!

The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.

How can you get an applet to obey the CSS z-index attribute?
I have a DHMTL page with a panel that I want to slide back and forth. But another part of the requirement is to have the panel look like it is sliding under another panel.
The problem is that an applet is on the panel that slides. When the sliding panel move under the stationary panel the applet does not go under the stationary panel, but the reset of the sliding panel does render looking like it is sliding under.

All the panels are 1x1 tables with a border. So how can I get the applet on the drawing shown with # and * to follow the rendering of the z-index of 2?

I have the same problem, and don't know how to solve it, So, i had tried to put my applet in a div tag wih z-index=0, but it still hide my other Dhtml divs with bigger Z-index (z-index =1000)
Have you any idea to solve this.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Easy enough to sync iTunes albums to the iPad, but how about albums that currently exist only on the iPad? How do you get iTunes to import photo albums it doesn't currently know about? For example I have an app that saves it's files to an album called 'Saved'. I want iTunes to make a local computer copy during 'sync'. I was transferring files from the iPad to the computer via WiFi, but at least on my iPad, WiFi is extremely unreliable, often dropping the connection during data transfers. I finally gave up and decided to do this via USB until Apple gets their act together.

If you are transferring photos from iPhoto on your Mac, you mean the iPhoto albums that are available to select under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences? if so, this is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPad.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos from your iPad, which can include photos imported from a digital camera or from a digital camera's storage card with the Camera Connection Kit, or a photo saved from a received email, from a website, or by a 3rd party app that is capable of saving a photo in the same location.
It sounds like the app developer has allowed for transferring photos saved by the app in the app's "Saved" area to your computer via an available wi-fi network that both your computer and iPad are connected to. Unless the app developer allows for saving the photos from the app's "Saved" area to the same location where a photo saved from a received email or from a website is stored, there is no way to import these photos via iPhoto or the Image Capture application on your Mac, which is used for importing photos, not iTunes.

On my PC I had a problem where the iTunes store would only display a blank white page, I managed to display my account settings, but nothing for music, etc
I treid this and it has immediately sorted it out...
start>programs>accessories> right click on Command Prompt and run as Administrator
then simply enter 'netsh winsock reset' and return
after restarting the PC and loading up iTunes the store was there fine ;-)

Can iCloud documents stay in sync in the background on iOS devices?

Hi everyone.
I've been using iCloud document syncing for a few years and now I feel a little bit puzzled.
My DayOne app on iPhone & iPad only start downloading entries after I launch the app. Is it true that I have to open the app for iCloud documents to start syncing? Or is it supposed to sync in the background (periodically or pushed) and that I just do not get it work?
The same goes for my Readdle Documents app. Everything starts syncing when the app is open and active. Is that the way iCloud document should work?
(I am running iOS 7.1 on iPhone 5 & iPad 3, OS X 10.9.2 on MBA 2013; iCloud documents set to ACTIVE on all devices; background apps are all turned ON for both iPhone & iPad.)

How do you get itunes to stop updating the I pod?

i want to add a bunch of CDs to my I Tune but i don't want them all to load into my i pod, when ever i plug my i pod into the computer they auto install everything into the i pod and its filling up with stuff i don't need on there, is there a way to get it so it doesn't install everything on itunes?

You can configure iTunes to sync only a subset of your music. Create a playlist in iTunes of the music you want on the iPod, and change the iPod sync settings. More info is here.
