1)Is it possible to get the album art to fill the screen on the nano?
2)If you make the gif more widescreen in dimensions will it fill more of the screen at the sides?

1) If you press twice on the 'select' button, the pic will fill the screen. However, it only stays for a couple of seconds. I don't think you can make it permanent.
2) No, it is being compressed in iTunes to fit their pre-defined square shape. I haven't seen any settings which would enable you to play with that.

I can't get my album art to show up in the albums tab on my ipad, but it shows up in the songs tab

So when I go onto the music section of my iPad, all of the album art for all of my songs appears like it should. When I go to the albums tab, however, it just shows a white background with the band name and album name. I have tried resyncing my ipad multiple times, have changed the album art to files under 100 kb, and after a couple syncs, artwork that used to show up before refuses to show up now.

Can you see the artwork on your iPod/phone?
Also, just to check: you do know that the artwork viewer on the bottom left has been removed from iTunes 11? (a big mistake imo!!!). The artwork window on your PC is now a tiny icon in the top middle (which appears only when the song is playing) but if you click it you should get a larger window.

I would like to know if you can change the size of the album art. It currently shows a small picture of the album. I would like to have the album cover most of the screen. Please advise.

While a song is playing, click the select (center) button twice.
This should display the album art full-screen.

On the new ipod touch, is there a way to enlarge album art to fill the whole screen?

Hi there,
For Christmas I was given a new ipod touch (long story short my old one I put through the wash by mistake ) and this new one is great but when I listen to a song on the new itouch the album art does not fill the whole screen like my old itouch, this is a small detail I know but I loved that feature so much and I was hoping there was a setting I could activate/change which allows this on the new itouch.
At the moment on the new itouch the album art is small and centered towards the top of the screen while the function icons are below the image while on the last one the album art filled the whole screen and the function icons where over the picture at the bottom and didn't stand out as much as it does now.
I have drawn a very rough MSpaint diagram explaining what I mean lol.....

Does anyone know of an iTunes 11 plugin that shows the album art preview of the selected track in the bottom left?

In previous versions of iTunes, there was a little box at the lower left side of the screen that displayed the album artwork of whatever track you had selected (or whatever track was playing, depending on your settings).
I really miss this feature, as many others do. I have considered downgrading to 10.7, but my iPhone 5 is running 6.1 and I don't think the two will work together..(any way around this?)
I really don't know much about iTunes plugins, but could they be a possible solution to this problem?
Does anyone know of one (or could anyone write one) that could help me and many others get that album art preview back?

I have a regular post for the top 3 or 4 fixes for that 9808 error. Obviously you are going to skip #1, since you've already tried it. Let me know how you get on with the next 2.
The top 3 fixes to itunes error 9808 seem to be
1) Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced, make sure that SSL 3.0 is checked and TLS 1.0 is checked. Also under Security make sure that the “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)” is unchecked. Then click ok and fire up iTunes.
2) The culprit was Norton. The users are set up as Admin and Standard. I have Parental Controls turned on in both Vista as well as Norton. Admin users had no problems connecting to iTunes. Standard users would get the error. I had to go to Norton’s Personal Firewall and add the program “iTunes Helper.exe” and set the option to “Allowed” (”iTunes.exe should already be in the Allowed category.) in order for the standard users to be able to connect.
3) close iTunes if you have it open right now. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes. Delete or cut the preferences.xml file which contains your iTunes preferences. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes and delete or move the preferences.xml file. For Mac users, there is only one file you must delete or move a to a new location and is located at User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.itunes.plist. Restart iTunes and it will recreate those two (or one) files with the default settings. Feel free to set your preferences back to what they were and then connect to the iTunes store and enjoy!
And #4, see if you can get into the iTS from a different windows admin account on the same PC.

Each audio or video file in iTunes has several settings and tags that can be easily modified. These options can be accessed by selecting any file in the iTunes browser windows and selecting "Get Info" from the File menu. You can add song lyrics, artwork and set special playback options. The "Info" tab lets you edit information about the file including artist and album info.

Can you get your IMEI # back based on the phone's serial #?

My iPhone5 was stolen, and the police won't file a report without the IMEI #. I don't have the packaging anymore, and I never synched the phone with iTunes because my Laptop's OS was incompatible. I managed to get the phone's serial number through the Apple Store. Is there a way I can use that to get my IMEI # back?

Do you still have the original box? All the pertinent information is on the back: IMEI, Serial # etc.

If you view Firefox in full screen can you get favourite toolbar to appear with the address bar?

When you put Firefox in full screen all the toolbars disappear. When you hover over the top of the screen the address bar and 'open tabs' bar appear. Is it possible to get the favourites toolbar to appear as well?
If not is there any other way to access favourites without having to close Firefox?

You can also toggle that setting if you hover the mouse to the top and right click a toolbar to open the toolbar context menu: Hide Toolbars.
That won't show the bookmarks toolbar AFAIK even if it is selected. You can access the bookmarks via the Bookmarks menu button if you place that button on a visible Navigation Toolbar or Tab bar.
Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line to make the Bookmarks toolbar visible in full screen mode.

How can you get firefox to work locally with the windows subst command?

I want to test my website locally using the windows subst command to emulate the root of my website. It works perfectly with IE8 (except IE8 displays the layout different to firefox) but will not work with Firefox. All of the images, styles sheets and anything with a root path does not work. If I use a relative path (../../ for example) to the objects they works fine.
How can I view web pages locally using a website root path?

Now I understand why Firefox does not load local pages and and IE does. I followed the link and tried all the various solutions. The noscript version did not work (but at least I have better security now) and the \\\\\ UNC path trick did nothing. Eventually I downloaded the IEtab plugin and that worked perfectly. All I wanted to do was to check webpages locally before submitting to my website and the IEtab plugin worked perfectly.

In shuffle all/song mode, can you get specific album tracks to segue?

That is, if I want to shuffle everything in the pod, but want to maintain specific album cut segues is there some setting I can use by right clicking the cut to 'Get Info', then tweak?
I tried checking off 'Remember playback position' and 'Part of a gapless album' under 'Options', but that didn't do the trick.
e.g., I don't necessarily mind ZZ Top's 'Waiting For The Bus' segueing into Bill Evans' 'Green Dolphin Street', but it really SHOULD go right into ZZ's 'Jesus Just Left Chicago'.

How can you get a picture of part of the screen?

I'm trying to get the crosshatch on my screen to draw a box and capture a screen image, but I can't remember the keys. I thought that it was something and F4 but nothing is working. Can anyone clarify this for me. Thanks

Can you get to recents while talking on the phone?

I was on the phone today and I wanted to look at my recent phone calls. I couldn't figure out how to do it.

I have a work-around, since the in-call contacts screen doesn't include recents. While on the phone, tap the "Add call" (the plus) button. From there, you can go to Recents. If you want to see the number and more info on the contact, tap the blue arrow on the right of a contact. Just be careful, because if you tap the number, you will dial it and create a conference call.
