Can you have 2 Apple IDs using the one credit card?

I'm just wondering if you're able to have 2 Apple IDs using the same credit card number? Trying to set up App Store on a new purchase with another Apple ID and whenever I put in the card number it just says for assistance contact Apple Support and it won't let me finish or go onto the next step after billing information.
Gettig frustrated as it's not working!!

You can us more than one Apple ID/iTunes account on one computer.See:

It is simpler to use one account though.

  • HT4972 Can you have two iPhones to the one iTunes account? I am overseas and using the old iPhone 4 here, but also have a current iPhone 5.

I have two iPhones, a 5 which I currently use and an old 4 which I use as a second phone as I am overseas. I have connected both to iTunes. Does this cause any problems have two phones on the one iTune account, as far as updates, etc goes?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It won't cause any problem. Moreover, you will be able to share the purchases between both phones and have the same information by using iCloud, so you don't lose anything

  • Can you purchase apple hardware using your iTunes credit?

I was looking at the iPod touch advert on the homepage of the iTunes store within iTunes (so I think this is within iTunes store?) and tried to order an iPod from in there but it says it wants a credit card? Why can't it use my iTunes credit, I know there's enough there to pay for the order? (I don't like using credit cards over the internet)

Sorry but no, you can't. A credit balance in the iTunes Store can be used only for apps and content. You cannot use any such balance for any Apple hardware (nor for software not sold through the App Store).

  • Can you have 2 accounts for the one iPod touch without wiping data?

My daughter got an iPod touch for christmas, however she has bought some items from the store from her mums account. I do not want to use her mums account, that is for her own use. However if I want to make an account with only iTunes credit on it on the same iPod is this possible without wiping all the previously bought data?
Help would be grately appreciated, if need more information please comment or contact me on: tim.noldus1992<at>gmail<dot>com
    Many thanks in advance.

An iPod can be synced to only one computer and one iTunes account. There's no way around that. Sorry.

can i have 2 Apple IDs using the same playlist from the same pc?

Easiest way is to create separate computer logins with all your own info including your own iTunes library.
I recommend each individual not have more than one AppleID because you will have purchases on multiple accounts
You can use more than one AppleID in an iTunes library.
    AppleID/iTunes =used for purchases.
iTunes library = iTunes and all media on your computer.

Jack, are you trying to make a new account on a computer or and iOS device, you need to click the links and follow the instruction to make the account without a credit card.  After you make your account then redeem your iTunes card. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534

  • Can you have 2 iTunes accounts on one MAC Desktop

I have a MAC Desktop which my husband and I share. We each have our own Itunes accounts, mine which is stored on an old Mac Book Pro with issues. In order for me to use the cloud I need to get my Itunes account onto the desktop. This laptop can not be updated to the icloud becasue of its problems. We can share the contacts and the calendar from the desktop, but we each have our own music. Can you have 2 itunes accounts on one desktop?

Yes. Use separate Mac OS X user accounts, or launch iTunes with the Option key held down as needed.

  • HT1766 can you have multiple iPhones in the same iTunes account without overwriting each phones content?

Can you have multiple iPhones in the same iTunes account without overwriting each phones content?

    Hi sandexpress,
As Ocean20 indicates, you want to make sure that you have automatic syncing turned off. In iTunes Preferences under Devices, make sure you have "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically" checked. Then connect each iPhone, and make sure that "Manually Manage Music and Videos" is checked on the Info page for each of them. Then go into each page for each device, and select what you want to sync to that particular device. (you would do this one device at a time - complete the steps for one of the phones, then connect the next one and do the same thing).
With this kind of setup, you can modify what will sync at any given time for a particular device once you have connected it to iTunes, but before you click on the Sync button at the bottom of the screen. If you want to change some sync options on a particular device, you would just go into the page you wanted to change (Music, Photos, Apps, etc.), make your changes, and then Sync.
If you do not have any changes, you can just hook up the phone and click on Sync.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,

  • With iOS 8's family sharing, will family members be able to share apps that they previously purchased with different credit cards with one another for free (given that they will all use the same credit card once iOS 8 comes out)?

Question 1: In my family of 4, we currently have different Apple ID's and we all use different credit cards to purchase our apps and media. When iOS 8 is released, if we agree to share the same credit card, will we be able to access apps that a family member purchased with their own credit card prior to iOS 8's release? To clarify, under iOS 7, Member 1 has purchased Apps A and B with his credit card. Under iOS 8, if Members 1, 2, 3, 4 decide to use Member 4's credit card, will Members 2, 3, 4 be able to access Apps A and B?
Question 2: If we all decide to use the same credit card now, once iOS 8 is released, will family members have access to the apps/media purchased by the fourth family member?

You can read everything that is known about ios 8 on Apples website.
There is no way for anyone to know any more than that.
