I use one iTunes account for all apple products but want to use face time. Can I set it up so when we are not together we can face time each other.
Yes. In settings, FaceTime, just add an email. Email acts as a phone number. When you place a call to the other ipad, just make sure it's to that email.

Problem. You can't share apps or purchased content between two different iTunes accounts. The iPad(s) will be completely resynched (removing apps not associated with the current account) each time you synch, depending on how you synch. IMHO, not worth the effort.

Can you have different I cloud accounts on different devices. Like 4 phones with different numbers while keeping them all on the same I tunes account? My family shares one I tunes account but it would be nice to be able to have a different I cloud for family member. Is there a way to do this. Because the I cloud part on the setting on the phone and I pad are greyed out on the phones so you can't change the user.
If they are greyed out then usually this means that the account is not validated on that device. The Delete Account button at the bottom should still work and allow you to remove the current account form the iCloud Section of Settings.
To answer your question, yes. There are four places you can use an Apple ID on an iOS device:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime
Settings > iTunes & App Stores
The iTunes & App Stores is the only one you want to use a shared (family) Apple ID account. The other three you will want a unique Apple ID for that person to prevent info merging or messages getting shared, etc.

Yes, you can, but the two devices can't have the same e mail address associated with both. Each, device needs its own unique e mail ADR. In your case, the iPod can call your iPhone if you use the phone number, but the iPhone can not call your iPod because it must use the e mail address, and if the email address is the same on both, the iPhone will think it's calling itself, so the call will not go through.

The songs on your Shuffle should still be in your iTunes library. That means you should just be able to connect your Nano to the same iTunes library and sync it just as you would with your Shuffle. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, or iPhones you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
As for preparing the Shuffle for your husband, just restore it via iTunes and then let him sync it to his own iTunes library or if its the same iTunes library, let him configure it to sync only his content.

I tried to ask a similar question before, however did not understand our issues well enough to even form a comprehensive question and the kind replies.
I apologize, unfortunately I've yet to resolve our problem.
All of our devices are under the same Apple ID & password (an IPhone 4s, an IPhone 4, and a Dell Laptop that uses Windows 7.) How in the world can
we separate them (so we can both use our free 5GB under the iCloud storage that each of our IPhone's offer, but "also" still use the same shared ITunes
account?
As it stands right now, my son's phone (iPhone 4) is set up under our Apple ID & pw-which enables him to use the free 5gb's under the iCloud.
I cannot take advantage of the Free 5gb's iCloud on my IPhone 4s, because it's all "my info." on my son's phone (my email address & pw=what we've always used for our shared ITunes acct.)
A big fat mess I know, and don't even want to confuse things by asking about these SMTP's...1 thing at a time!
Not sure if it is still on his phone, however in trying to resolve this issue last time I set him up with a MobileMe address. I believe I entered my info back into his phone because it created a bigger mess!

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

Use the same Apple ID in Settings > iTunes & App Stores to share purchases.
For all other services, use a different Apple ID eg. FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, Game Center, etc. -

Getting an ipad 4 to replace original ipad, but want to keep both "in-sync" together, can this be done with the same itunes account?
JoI have an iPod Touch and two iPads and I was syncing them all to the same iTunes library. I use the same Apple ID on both devices.
Transfer all purchases from the original iPad into iTunes, backup the iPad and sync with iTunes. Then when you set up the new iPad, restore from the backup of the original iPad and sync with iTunes - and both iPads will be identical. The only thing that you will have to do on the new iPad is to enter all of your passwords since they will not restore to a new device from the backup of another device.

You can use iCloud to keep all documents, reminders, calendar events, bookmarks, etc. in sync as well. If you go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and turn on automatic downloads, you can download apps, music and books to both devices and keep those "in sync" as well. -
