Can you help? I can't login past first screen on macbook air
My boss just bought a brand new macbook air for me for work. Has Yosemite OS.
after successfully migrating apps/etc from my macbook pro, I shut down the air for the night. This morning, I tried to log in using my other macbook pro signin -- didn't work.
I'm curious - how do I troubleshoot this without even being able to access anything past the login screen?
And of course, more importantly, how do I get past the login screen?

Just installed iPhoto 09 Can't get past first screen
I just installed iPhoto 09. When I first opened the program after installation, I was prompted to upgrade my photo library, I did so. On the next screen ("Look up photo locations"), I am prompted to click yes or no, but all I get is the spinning ball -- the program doesn't respond. I have tried rebooting the computer; I have tried deleting the com.apple.iphoto.plist Can't get beyond "Look up photo locations" no matter what I do -- and I don't even care about the locations!
Any other ideas? I have a Time machine backup (I hope!) I've never had to restore from it before, so may need guidance wit that too!
THanks in advance for your help. I'm beginning to regret my purchase...Log into another account on your Mac and see if iPhoto will open and run there. If not then a reinstall of iPhoto is indicated. To do so you'll have to first delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder, reinstall iPhoto from the disk it came on and reapply the latest updaters.
If it does run OK in the other account then there's something in your main account that's the culprit. It could be a preference file other than iPhoto's. Here's how to see if that's the case:
Trouble Shooting Preferences in Leopard
1 - Create a folder titled "Preferences A" on the Desktop.
2 - Open the working Preferences folder, HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences, and move the contents to the Preferences A folder on the Desktop.
3 - With the working Preferences folder empty run the application again and determine if the problems is fixed.
NOTE: you may have to drag the contents of the working folder to the trash and empty if moving the contents to the A folder only copies them instead of moving.
4 - If the problem is fixed:
A - open the working Preferences folder (HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences).
B - Open the Preferences A folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace button.

5 - If the problem is NOT fixed, empty the working Preferencess folder and move the contents of the Preferences folder on the desktop back into it. -
My old iMac and OS 10.4 will not accept the New iTunes Version 10 application and I can't get past the screen offering to download iTunes 10. This is wrong and I need help getting past this situation. Help!
Sure, you can get around it if you don't need the newest version of iTunes. I still use version 7.5 because the newer versions didn't strike me as offering anything I needed.
If you do need a version 10-something then you will have to upgrade your operating system to Leopard (fi your computer will support it) at least. If you need 10.5 for some reason then there's no getting around it, you will have to buy a new computer. -
successfully loaded ios7 to iphone 4s.
now iphone asks me to agree to terms and privacy, then it locks up and won't accept my "agree."

Hold down the home and lock buttons until you see an Apple Logo, then release the buttons.
If that doesn't work, you should check to see if you have a backup because you may have to restore your device. -
iPhone 4 gone mad voice control taken over phone, can't get past my screen lock it won't respond at all, keeps dialling random people won't do anything at all!!! Have you tried to power off and on? If that doesn't work and the reset didn't work, have you tried connecting to iTunes to see if it is recognized?
If none of this works you probably need to visit an Apple genius bar and have it checked out by the techs. -

Macbook keeps restarting, can't get past icon screen
I had to correct my permissions because I couldn't edit my address book and ical. Everything was working fine last night after I did the permission fixes. But when I booted up my Mac tonight, the farthest I could get was the white screen with the Apple icon and the animated circle. After a few minutes, the laptop will reboot itself and continued to do that for 30 minutes. I can't get past that screen. What is going on? How do I fix this? I finally turned off the Mac and am using my Dell.
The question mark on the file tells you that your MacBook wants to start up but can't find a viable OS to start from. Can you start up from the DVD that came with your Mac? If so, go to Disk Utility and see if you can repair the internal hard drive. If you can't see the hard drive from within DU, your drive may have failed, and you may need to replace it. Good luck.

On my wife's iPad mini I can't get past the screens accepting the software license to upgrade iOS over WiFi.
Works if I do it over iTunes on my desktop.

i can't seems to print using my macbook air with hp series printers. When I plug the printer via usb to my system, the printer was recognized and installed. But when i send a doc for printing, it doesn't print all . Any help?

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Want to play tv shows purchased on iPad on Apple tv. When I touch icon for apple tv and choose "apple tv" it asks for an apple tv password. We have never set up any password and can't get past this screen. Does anyone know how to find this password?
You can remove the Airplay password from the Settings menu on your AppleTV.
