Can you help? Problem converting RWL to RAW in LR 5.6

On a Mac OS X 10.9.5 and shooting RAW, Leica with the RWL format. Lighroom 5.6 didn't recognize the RWL so I downloaded the DNG Converter 8.7.1. Now when I open LR I can see the DNG converter on the left column under my LEICA but the images are still gray without images. Please explain how to use this converter. It's installed and that's how far I've gotten. I need to get these images into Lr ASAP. Thank you so much for your time.

That screen shot shows DNG files in the import dialog NOT RWL so you need to try importing the the RWL files.
The import dialog shows that it is ready to import files as they are checked and they have valid filenames. They do not show as not recognized, just the preview is missing. Have you actually tried to hit the import button and see what happens.
I used to see this sometimes when importing directly from the camera on my canon when the previews did not show but the files would still import. Adobe seems to have fixed direct import from camera now as for me it shows the previews.

Hello,
I have recently purchased a macbook pro and downloaded the files for Design Standard CS6, I install the application and then enter my product key which works however it says
"this product is valid but we could not find a qualifying product on this computer"
It then tells me that if I want to use the code I must have one of the following products and the serial code, then it gives me a list of products none of which I want such as Design Standard 5, Web Premium etc
I didn't need any of these on my PC I just downloaded the application and used my code
Can anyone offer any advice here?

With regards to your .arw files:
You need to either purchase and install Lightroom 5.4 -- OR -- download and install and use the FREE Adobe DNG Converter version 8.4, did you actually launch and use the DNG Converter?
There should be no problem importing JPG files into Lightroom from your camera, what happens when you try? Is there an error message?

if the data which is printing in # might be a included text or Text module if the text contains any " in the text delete that and again insert that with " i.e if we copy the text from word and paste them in the text editor in the print preview it shows correctly but in print it gets converted into #. I also faced this problem so that i came to know this. If it is not the case leave it.

Numbers should be able to read Excel files without any problems. If Numbers does not read the graphics properly then you can try Excel Online. https://office.live.com/start/Excel.aspx

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

Hi I have an I pad 64 gig and internal wifi bought about 2 months ago. it keeps coming up with a message "this i pad has not been backed up" I have no idea how to do it can you help.
I also have an I phone 4s with the same message both are with telstra the I pad has a 12 month pre paid wifi contract and the phone is on a monthly contract.

Sounds like you actually paying for cellular service and you really need to be on wifi to backup your ipad/iphone.
Normally you have to be connected to wifi and you can do manual backup by going to Settings- icloud- storage and backup and pressing backup now button. Start with your ipad, usually size of the backup smaller and return here if you encounter a problem.

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager?

I have been doing online banking with this bank for 7 months with no problems. About 2 weeks ago I started having problems with certain things within the account. That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
